Another great Road To show on YouTube. Tully is awesome and they've set it up well to have Cody announce someone in his corner.
-
Taichi was definitely not in my list of 6 I must say
-
Reviving this thread to ask whether this year's G1 has the most objectively hot wrestlers of any grouping in history. I can think of 3-6 people in there I would consider attractive and 30% is not a bad ratio at all for pro wrestling.
-
The only other big thing they could pull was if The Revival are out of contract between now and October.
-
Really, they should look to make WWE 24 style profiles of the top 8-10 stars on Smackdown going forward and air segments of them as intros during their first month or two on Fox.
-
I've seen people kicking around Buddy Murphy as the attacker. Daniel Bryan's announcement that they keep postponing could end up being the reveal as well. I just can't imagine what babyface they would be turning at the minute.

In another world, this Archer is a huge drawing opponent for Hogan in 1987 or Cena in 2007.
-
I would've preferred Archer to get the win and a future title match as well but I guess they're rolling the unbeaten run as far as it can go to get the maximum drama from the turnaround. In the end, I think Ibushi wins this block with equal points to Okada but with the head to head advantage.

Just catching up on yesterday's show. This needs to be the end of Fale in G1. Throw in Henare or something instead. Fale's went from being a guy who wasn't good but could be carried to something by a quality worker to being someone that Okada, Ospreay and Ibushi haven't managed to get a thing out of. Dogshit. I know they probably feel like they need more than one Bullet Club guy in there but surely they can come up with something better.
-
The thing is, they have had great production in the past. But ever since they started the shaky cam shit for Shield run-ins, which was at least unique at the time, I feel like this style of overly busy production has crept into every element of the product to the point where lots of it is flat out unwatchable.

Either Kevin Dunne is getting worse and worse or Vince making constant last minute re-writes means they're having to do a half assed job to get things done on time.
-
It was interesting and different the way they ran those two angles back to back at the end there and Roman's crew seemed to get over very well by the end. Sucks for Seth that his pals came to see him get put in the ambulance but were nowhere to be found when he was actually getting murdered.

WWE TV 07/22 - 07/28 RAW Reunion! Candice Michelle is back!!!
FMKK replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
I think it was the wrong move to have him working as a babyface who fought from underneath when they made their first attempt at giving him the big push. The vocal segment of the audience had already tired of Cena being that character so trying to force it again instead of just making him an ass-kicker who did short, explosive matches was a mistake. But Vince just has this formula for top faces that he isn't willing to break. Having said that, I actually thin Reigns has had some really strong selling performances that would have gotten over huge in another era with crowds more receptive to him - a problem that in my opinion is mostly not of his making. He's been a part of way too many excellent matches for me to think he's anything less than great tbh. -
Samoan stable with those two and The Usos would be great imo, especially if it's followed by Roman finally getting his dominant run with the title.

I almost wonder if it would be feasible to announce say the first 3-4 shows in advance and put them on sale at the same time. At least that way you might get the effect of people who miss out on the DC show taking tickets for one of the other. You're spreading the demand across a few dates instead of betting it'll be there again for show 2/3/4 individually.

WWE TV 07/22 - 07/28 RAW Reunion! Candice Michelle is back!!!
FMKK replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
That feels like such a ten years out of date criticism or any worker. Rollins does more moves but for moves like that superplex into falcon arrow he does for a two count, he basically demands that his opponent doesn't sell the moves so that he can get to the next one. To me, that's just a load of wasted motion. I'd also say that I've never seen a selling performance from Rollins that's as engaging as the best Reigns ones e.g. vs Lesnar at Mania 31, vs Strowman at Payback 2017. (I'm not saying that the moves thing is your argument at all, I just think Reigns kinda smokes him) -

Reigns has also had way more good TV performances against the likes of Cesaro, Samoa Joe, Jason Jordan and even Miz than I can think of Rollins ever mustering. There's definitely something to the idea that he's seen by smark crowds as a great worker because he has a particular look and resume whereas some of those same people would never think the same thing about Reigns again mainly because of his look and his background. -

Reigns has a way way better singles resume than Rollins. Rollins is a bit like Ziggler to me in that he looked and acted like a guy who smarks are supposed to like so they decided to get behind him as if he was some great worker. But once the bloom was off the rose with Ziggler, he's basically had go away heat for five years. Rollins may end up in similar territory, although slightly different because he actually did get the big push that Dolph never did. -
I didn't think the Mox vs Naito match was a great match work-wise but in terms of having two really engaging characters interacting with each other it was really entertaining. I've gone from being at best hot and cold on Dean Ambrose to being a signed up Moxley mark.

That's one of his biggest problems. The fact that a load of his promos are unlistenable is another one. -
If that's the case, it's even worse in hindsight that they didn't just give him his win over Okada in the Dome when they had the chance and the people were dying for it.
-
At this rate I wonder if they're almost tempted to run Okada and Moxley to the final unbeaten and then put Mox over. You'd end up having a lot of dead rubber matches but it would make Dome match pretty huge.
-
Naito being a massive prick in the tag math today has got me really excited for the singles with Mox, even though the offence looked light as shit when they were actually fighting
-
I also think I instinctively just think less of him since he revealed himself as a flat earther on Jericho's show. I'm sure plenty of wrestlers believe all sorts of dumb shit but just don't let me know about it!
