Wesrern State4s keeps on rolling... First fir the TV show... Awesome interview for Tojo. He says alot of nasty things but Dusek has some great points and I'm looking forward to see if Slater can get the title from Jumbo. Good job by Watts hyping up the Labor Day Show. Whatley continues to have a really nice title reigh. He is a great upper mod-card heel for you. ON TO THE SPORTS ARENA. Terry Funk vs Killer Tim Brooks might be the best opener in Dawn of War. This card gets better and better. Abbie vs Dutch (with a great ending) is 2nd match from the top material and it is again so early in your card. You have done great things with your roster and WSW is booming! Great Tag Team match to earn a title shot... Dr. Death and Dibiase, if they are still champs, will have their hands full with Karachi Vice OMG with the win over Dory keeps his monster status growing. Also nice job in keeping Dory strong as he wrestled earlier in the card and now had a "reason" for losing to OMG. Fans are always upset when the babyfaces lose a chance at the title on a DQ or count-out and I'm sure this was the case with the Fort Bragg Brotherhood but now we get a Boot Camp Match and all is forgiven. WOW... OMG win the win and now he gets Nikita. This will be a fun one! Great week at the Sports Arena.

Sorry for falling behind here... First for the TV show.. Interesting to see George Wells go after the Brusie Brothers after his relationship with Cash. Bruise Brothers-Priceless is one of my favorite angles in the game. Renick coughing after El Jefe and the cigar smoke is one of those little details you add to make it all more vivid. Nice creative writing. El Jefe is a great Dawn of War character. Nice chaotic win by Ferris to earn the shot at Great Gagne. I'm sure Gagne will figure some dirty tactic to find a way to put down Earthquake. I my opinion, Ox Baker makes everything better... including the big match between Steamboat and Billy Jack. Billy Jack with his style and power makes a great heel. Nice use of him here. I struggled to figure out what to do with him. Charland-Ron Garvin makes a nice Canadian feud! If Garvin comes out on top, he might be ready to roll. \ Larry Z always tends to find some big help to do his dirty work ... not sure he will ever find someone bigger than Haystacks . Everytime I see that picutre of EL Canek, I think it is Hogan under a mask and wonder if I missed a trade. Nice use of the Beauty shop as we hype up one of the greatest feuds in all of wrestling in the 1980's Awesome segment with Tiger Jeet not willing to pay any more money to put down Colon. This feud is for all the marbles. Can't wait to see which way you go? Great main event with Snuka and Dream. Snuka has one hard head!! ON TO THE ELIIS AUD NIce set of opening matches that see some feuds progess but for me the card reall got going when Ox had a serious conversation with Beast of Burden. This would scare the crap out of me! Wells gets the first laugh vs the Bruise Brothers but it might not be the last. Nice touch when they decided not to waste the champagne. Great main event with Lawler covering Dundee for the win. The chaos after the match sets everything up nicely for the next TV show. There are going to be a lot of fired up people looking for some revenge.

Luscious is the perfect opener to get this crowd going. Liked how the 4 Corner Match became a triple threat match. The team of Zenk and Taylor make for a great babyface team. WOW... what a win for Johnny Rich. I bet there might be another Intern running around somewhere. What an ending to the First Blood Match. I thought T.A. was going to take another loss as his head had probably not healed from last week. Landel comes out to help the babyfaces but that ending in the main event makes me wonder.

Awesome TV show this week. Dark Journey's stable gets better and better. I like the little slip by Oliver calling the Intern, Tommy Rich. What an announcement by Watts... A Russian Chain/I Quit Match. Awesome use of the history of real life + Dawn of War. Nikita gets his historica way and T.A. gets his bout from the Tully Blanchard match. Bob going after any Rich right now is hot. Hope he gets Johnny in the Boutwell but have a feeling something might get in his way. GREAT JOB WITH POFFO... you gave him that Adrian Street feel but added even more. From the whispers in the ear of his opponents to the Painacle to never mentioning Jimmy Gar again. Really well done. Big words from Dusty... this feud is going to be awesome. I think we might need another campaign to get rid of Buddy.... He Can't be trusted!

Sorry for falling a bit behind here. First for the house show loops... The last two matches of that Alabama loop were awesome. That tag team challenge bout that left T.A. in the center of the ring and bloody set up the Main Event perfectly as it allowed Bass to get the win and allowed T.A. to have a reason for losing. Great booking. These are things I often overlook when writing my shows. Mississippi- Dark Journey is getting quite a stable and Oliver is the perfect addition

Really fun show and I thought you did a nice job of capturing the SMW feel especially with all the venues in the upcoming road show. Nice deut for Savio Vega. I think that the Von Erich story is very interesting. In our game, Mike was basically put out of wrestling by some illness and Lance was proven not to be a VonErich at all. This was all in Texas All-Star Wrestling which for the most part was a small promotion without a major cable channel as it was on KTVT in Dallas. So this story line would never have traveled to SMW where it is also a smaller promotion and in an area of the U.S. that would have been almost completely void of cable tv anyway at this time. This makes the VonErich name still huge, whether babyfaces or heels, in Eastern TN, Western KY area. I also like that Fritz is up to his old trick right away by making his boy and "nephew" the #1 contenders even though the have only wrestled one match in SMW. Very nice job with a lot of directions you could go in. Nice Main Event and looking forward to Summer Blast

CIVIC CENTER: MONROE, LOUISIANA: AUGUST 7, 1986 (The show begins with footage from the last week’s show in Shreveport as Dr. Death laid out Michael Hayes in their Stretcher Match and Butch Reed put a beating on Sheik Adnan Al Kassie. Then we go to the regular opening montage set to techno music and showing all the big stars of Mid-South Wrestling and finally we go to the set with your host, Jim Ross.) Ross: "Hello and welcome once again to Power Pro Wrestling, sanctioned by Mid-South Wrestling, a member of the National Wrestling Alliance. What a show we had this past Friday in Shreveport. As you saw in the video, “Dr. Death” Steve Williams got some revenge for the injured Terry Gordy and Hacksaw Butch Reed did get his 5 minutes alone with Sheik Adnan Al Kassie… and I think he enjoyed that very much! Before we get to the action tonight, I need to bring in NWA President Bill Watts with a very special announcement. Watts: Thanks Jim. Unfortunately, I am here with some bad news. The Great American Bash took place in Pensacola on July 4th. Today is just over a month from that great event. Due to his eye injury suffered at the hands of Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy has not been able to defend his North American Title since the Bash. By NWA rules, Terry Gordy must forfeit his title as it was not defended every 30 days. The fans begin to boo. Watts: I agree fans. Trust me, this is not what I want at all. What I will say is that the North American Title will be given to the winner of a one-night. 8-man tournament that will take place less than two weeks from today on August 20th in the Sam Houston Coliseum down in Houston. I will be back a little later to let you know who those 8 wrestlers will be along with another special announcement. The crowd begins to boo again as Michael Hayes comes out. He is still battered and bruised from his bout with Dr. Death. Hayes is complaining that he was the last #1 contender to the North American Title and therefore should be granted the title. This sets Watts off who says that after all that he did, he is lucky that he has not been suspended for life! Watts quickly rehashes the blinding of Gordy and the attack at the hospital before he informs Michael Hayes that not only won’t he be awarded the North American title, but he will also not be allowed to even participate in the tournament in Houston. Michael Hayes begins to complain as the crowd explodes as Dr. Death comes out! Michael Hayes acts like he has seen a ghost as he wants nothing to do with Dr. Death after the beating, he received just a few days ago. WHAM…. From behind Steve Wiliams is attacked from behind by the Rebel. After a few kicks and punches, the Rebel rips off his mask to reveal that he is none other than Freebird Buddy Roberts. Ted Dibiase rushes out to save his tag team partner and Hayes and Roberts decide discretion is the better part of valor and heads for the locker room. Dibiase and Dr. Death head over to Jim Ross and are screaming about how they want the Freebirds this week in Jackson and how they don’t care if they have to put their world titles on the line to get that match signed. COMMERCIAL BREAK + PROMOS FOR JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI Jim Ross: Well, what a wild beginning to this week’s show! Fans, I want to let you know that during the break, Michael Hayes and Buddy Roberts came back out and here is what they had to say. Michael Hayes: Oh, the band is back in town… I’ve been saying for quite some time now that Once a Freebird… Always a Freebird. Brother Buddy here put on that mask and has been walking around here calling himself The Rebel just to watch my back. He told me… Michael… Terry Gordy got exactly what he deserved but there’s going to be some people who don’t see it that way and when they come after you… I’ll be there to walk down Bad Street with you and well drop them off at that last house on the block all battered and bruised like we did back in the day. Now, God has again shined down on me. Not only do the Freebirds get to go back to knocking heads, now in Jackson, Mississippi, we get to walk out the NWA World Tag Team Titles. Buddy Roberts: Sometimes the fans are with the Freebirds and sometimes they are against the Freebirds. That proves that we do things our way… and at our time. The time was right tonight. Michael Hayes has done more for me than any other person in this sport and tonight it was time to help pay him back! Now Dibiase and Williams, I know you are back there right now wondering what you’ve done. Wondering why you woke the sleeping giant. You got in the middle of Freebird Business. This was between Michael and Terry. Now your big noses are going to cost you those Tag Team Titles. Back live… Jim Ross: Well, there you have it folks. I never would have thought just ten minutes ago that we would have an NWA World Title this week between the champs and the Freebirds but that seems to be how it is going here in Mid-South Wrestling. Expected the unexpected. Now on today’s show, the Might Yankee will be in action taking on “Cajun” Joey Jackson from right here in Church’s Point, Louisiana. Ricky Santana will be making his debut, but he has a tough bout as he will be facing U.S. Steel. Ivan Koloff will be taking on Norvel Austin. Rocky Johnson will be stepping up in competition this week as he battles “Gorgeous” Gary Young and in the Main Event, it will be the Patriots (Peterson & Champion) vs The Red Assassins (Cuban Assassin & Alexis Smirnoff) and the winner will get a shot at the Masked Superstars and their Mid-South Tag Team Titles this week in Jackson. Let’s get to the ring. MATCH “The Mighty Yankee” Billy Jack Strong defeats “Cajun” Joey Jackson with the Swinging Neckbreaker. The problem was that he refused to release the hold and really poured on the pressure even after this local, southern youngster submitted. Butch Reed rushed out and went after the Mighty Yankee who slipped away. As Butch Reed went over to the interview desk, he was fuming at the Mighty Yankee. He is sick and tired of the Masked Yankee doing the dirty work for people like Ernie Ladd and Sheik Adnan Al Kassie. He claims to know that it was Billy Jack Strong under that N.Y Yankees mask attacking people before their bouts against Bad News Allen and Jake Roberts. He also knows that Billy Jack kept that hold on for so long tonight just because Joey Jackson is from Louisiana. He dares the Mighty Yankee to try that stuff against him! As Reed storms off, Jim Ross wonders when people are going to learn to stop unsetting Hacksaw Butch Reed because it is usually them who pays for it in the long run. COMMERCIAL BREAK + PROMOS FOR JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI MATCH: Ivan Koloff defeats Norvel Austin with the Bearhug after Austin had hurt hi back by being whipped into the steel ring post. At the post-match interview: Ivan Koloff: In just two weeks… the Russian dominance over you weak Americans will be complete as I will be the North American Champion and Nephew Nikita will still be the NWA World Champion. Jim Ross: How do you know you are even in the tournament in Houston to crown the new North American Title. Ivan Koloff: How do I know… It is here that Bill Watts comes back to the interview area. Bill Watts: I think it is time that I do announce who will be competing in that North American Tournament. There are currently 6 people in. They are Harley Race, Hacksaw Butch Reed, Jake Roberts, Black Bart, Bob Roop and “The Mighty Yankee” Billy Jack Strong. This sets off Ivan Koloff who once again claims that he is left out because of cheating American bureaucracy. Watts explains that he is not in the tournament yet because he doesn’t wrestle full time in Mid-South Wrestling but because of his long-time success in this sport he will be given the chance to be in the tournament if he wins his match this week in Jackson. Ivan is not thrilled with this answer because he feels that he is being slighted by not being on the tournament already but claims that it will be easy because no American could beat him. Ivan’s confidence changes quickly when Watts says that his opponent this week is none other than Bruiser Brody! Ivan begins to fume and is shouting about American double standards as he storms off. Next in to complain is Ernie Ladd and Bad News Allen. Ernie Ladd: Watts, I’ve been calling you a Big Dummy for years but now you done gone and proved it. How you can hold a fair tournament in Mid-South Wrestling and leave the Mid-South Champion out of it. Just because you and I don’t see eye to eye, you go and completely show yourself to be the biased, cheating lowlife that you are. Watts: Are you done…. As Ladd begins to talk… Watts: I agree with you… Ladd’s eyes almost popped out of his head in disbelief. Watts: Bad News Allen does deserve a shot to be in this tournament, but Rocky Johnson came to me this week… Ernie Ladd: Rocky Johnson… Are you kidding me… that Uncle Tom came to you and now my main is not in the Tournament? Watts: Not exactly. Rocky came to me and reminded me that you said Bad News Allen could beat him every day of the week and twice on Sunday! Rocky, who is undefeated here in Mid-South Wrestling says that he would like the chance to show Ernie Ladd just what this “Uncle Tom” could do. I agreed and was all set to give him a Mid-South Title shot in Jackson, but he asked if the match could be for a spot in the North American Tournament and I agreed. So now all you have to Bad News is beat the man your manager said would not be a problem for you and you do not even need to put you title on the line. Bad News Allen: (Not upset at all) For once Watts, I agree with you. Rocky Johnson has not and will never deserve a title shot but if I get a chance to beat him all over the ring anyway, it’s a Win-Win for me and Bad News for Uncle Tom Johnson. COMMERCIAL BREAK + PROMOS FOR JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI Match Ricky Santana vs U.S. Steel This bout starts with a handshake but that is about all that is friendly. Santana shows his true colors with a low blow about two minutes into the match and this allowed the much smaller wrestler to carry the momentum for a little while. When U.S. Steel recovered enough, he put his size and power to good use and tossed Santana all around the ring. WHAM… from behind, the Red Assassins hit the ring and attack U.S.Steel. WHAM…. The brawl is on as the Patriots hit the ring. Bill Watts is back out and demands this nonsense stops now or else The Red Assassins and The Patriots will not wrestle tonight to determine who gets the Mid-South Title Shot and that all 6 men will face suspensions! This threat goes a long way and cooler heads prevail… for now.! Jim Ross is joined by Sheik Adnan Al Kassie and his army of Jake “The Sanke” Roberts, the Masked Superstars and Jos Leduc. The first thing that happens is Jim Ross takes a huge leap backwards as Jake Roberts has an actual giant snake wrapped around his neck. When Ross asks what this is all about the Sheik told to that he would give Jake a reward if he took care of Harley Race a few weeks and here is that gift… Damien! The Sheik goes on to announce that in just two weeks, Jake and Damien will have a new gift to carry around… the NWA North American Title! Next, the Sheik goes on to promise everyone that it doesn’t matter who wins the main event tonight as neither the Red Assassins or the Patriots have any chance of taking the Mid-South Tag Team belts from the Superstars this week in Jackson. Lastly, when asked if Sheik has been able to find that perfectly wrestler his is looking to give the million dollars to, the Sheik smiles and speaks in code as he says, “Sometimes when you lose, you really win.” Ross is left pondering that one as we head to commercial break. COMMERCIAL BREAK + PROMOS FOR JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI Match: Rocky “Soul Man” Johnson beats “Gorgeous” Gary Young by submission with the Soul Man Shuffle followed by the Boston Crab A quick interview shows Johnson is ready for Bad News Allen this week in Jackson and he is going to show Ladd just what this Uncle Tom can do in the ring. We head right back to the ring for the Main Event MATCH: Winner Gets A Mid-South Tag Team Title Shot in Jackson The Patriots defeat The Red Assassins when DJ Peterson caught the Cuban Assassin with a top rope shoulder block for the pin. This all came during a moment of chaos as Todd Champion was trapped in the heel corner when Ricky Santana came out. Even though he did not get involved, it brought U.S. Steel out and the two continued their fight from earlier. The distraction allowed Champion to make the hot tag to Peterson who cam in like a house a fire. We go all 4 men in the ring for a minute or two. The Patriots end up getting the advantage here and whip the Red Assassins into each other where the knock heads. This allowed Peterson to hit the finisher and earn the Mid-South Tag Team Title shot in Jackson. Jim Ross: What an hours its been folks. Wild from start to finish. Medusa is playing with fire as she keeps putting her stablemates down. This has been a realistically developed angle as you are taking your time with it but I bet it blows up really fast when it all goes wrong! Moretti has taken a step back from when she first came on the scene but I bet she gets her mojo back and when she does, it will be great entertainment.

Another great week of shows for WSW. That taped fist match is right up Slater's alley but even more so, it is right up the alley of WSW. Great choice of matches here. Tyree Pride vs Sullivan makes me think of Florida Championship Wrestling. Pride is one of those underrated wrestlers who is great on the undercard or mid-card. Lots of DQ matxhes this week which is perfect for the house show loop as it allows you to keep everuthing hot and moving forward. The South Pacific Connection-Devils Duo might have been my favorite match if I was in attendence. Nice work as always.

MEMORIAL COLISIEUM: SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA August 6, 1986 Partially Shown on Superstation 17 The Rebel defeats the “The Technician” Mark Fleming after the Rebel tired of trying to outwrestle Fleming and turned to the dirty tactics. The end came when the Rebel used a loaded mask headbutt on Fleming. The fans are still unsure what to do with the Rebel. They want to love him for his Confederate flag mask and Southern drawl but they just can’t get behind his cheating ways. Black Bart defeats Mike George by DQ as George got even for the chair shot he took from Bart last week and hit him with one of his own. “Gorgeous” Jimmy Garvin with Precious defeats “Hollywood” John Tatum with the Brainbuster. This bout went only about 4 minutes as Tatum made the mistake of going over to Precious and giving her a kiss just as the bell sounded. This sent Garvin into a rage, and he beat Tatum from pillar to post. ANTHEM MATCH U.S. Steel defeats “The Russian Assassin” Alexis Smirnoff with a powerslam in a battle of good vs evil. U.S. Steel and the fans stood, hand across heart, for the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner. Smirnoff was forced to stand but he was not happy and refused to show any respect. Stretcher Match “Dr. Death” Steve Williams defeated Freebird Michael Hayes after multiple Oklahoma Stampedes. Give Hayes some credit here and he never backed down from Dr. Death. In fact, as awful as it sounds, he almost succeeded in getting the blinding cream in Dr. Death’s eyes. Mid-South Title Match with Special Referee Bill Watts: Title changes hands on a DQ Bad News Allen with Ernie Ladd vs Bruiser Brody ends in a double DQ. Watts does his best to keep these two under control, but it’s to no avail. Watts doesn’t seem as impartial as he should be and allows Brody to get away with more than Allen. It was a bit of a controversial ending as Allen had finally gained some momentum on Brody when Watts called for the bell. 6-Man Tag Team Bout: (If Sheik’s Army loses, Butch Reed gets 5 minutes with Sheik) Hacksaw Butch Reed, Ted Dibiase and Harley Race defeat The Masked Superstars and Jake “The Snake” Roberts when Dibiase comes off the top turnbuckle with a knee to the head of Superstar #2. This all happened in a moment of chaos where Watts had lost control. Leduc, who was with the Sheik and holding the briefcase full of money, was rushing to knock Dibiase off the ropes but got there just a little late. In this long match, all wrestlers had some time to shine and wrestle from the bottom. The Sheik seemed torn. If he interfered in the match, there was no telling what Watts would do to him but if he didn’t, there was no telling what Reed would do to him. In the end, his decision came just a little late as he hesitated in giving his orders to Leduc. Interesting note here was this was the third time in a row that Dibiase has pinned one of Sheik’s men. The Sheik, although frustrated, seemed to have a lightbulb go off in his head after the ref completed the 3 count. Next, Watts orders all of the Sheik’s men to the back and warns them that if they interfere in the next 5 minutes, they will be fired. The Sheik, as timid as could be, gets in the ring and begs for mercy from Reed. WHAM… No mercy given. 5 minutes of pure pillar to post beatings! This is Reed’s time to get even for the Sheik trying to pay Carl Fergie to take him out of wrestling. The fans love every minute of it and on the way out, you can just feel the excitement in the fans as for the first time in a while, they feel like the babyfaces have some momentum!

Great event in Montgomery. I think Watts coming down hard on everyone has left us with so many masks men running in and attacking... wonder who the Intern is? HIghway Men-Hangmen... Great midcard feud! I thought your tag team match where the winner gets the title match later was really smart. It gives you an out to keep everyone strong and has built in run-in possibilities from the team that lost earlier. Interesting clean win over BA by the Japanese wrestler. Really good main event. I had a feeling Olympia was going to lose this one. I am still unsure if Landel can be trusted. The only thing I am pretty sure of is he will be a babyface vs Fujinami CCW is such a great read. Your clear and consise style makes it a pleasure to read

First for the TV show! Highlight for me was George Wells and the stock tips from Morrow. Love this angle and you do an awesome job of keeping it going while changing the pieces to keep it hot! Valiant and the explanation of the cigar was CLASSIC! Nice Larry Z interview... you spudheads.... SPOT ON Nice idea putting Rheingans and Kazmaier together Man... I thought Ox was scary before he was mad.... NOW HE IS A TERROR Great main event... I like how Lawler is still the Man even though it is the AWA and not Memphis. I think this is very realistic and wish he had really ventured out in the ;ate 70's and early 80's ON TO MILWAUKEE I bet Flowers vs Garvin was one stiff match. El Canek is continuing his build. I know little of his career but was told by on old friend from NWAR that he was huge!! WOW... Wahoo with a clean win over Bock! This is huge even though it was in his speciality. No matter how often we see Lawler and Idol or Lawler and Dundee, it never gets old. I most places when a title changes hands, it is time to move on. With these 3, it could change hands twice a week and still be a great event. Great job in the bout for the titlle. Steamboat is one of the best in settling feuds. He might need to reach down deep here as Ox might be the deciding factor.

First for the TV show... Liked seeing the SPC together. Cocoa and Shaska is a bout I could see going either way. Really liked the Slick interview. ... Stack a lack!! Looking forward to working with you and Gene again. It was awesome doing the Bash. Jimmy Jack was fuming! Akbar and Sullivan means trouble for everyone else! To the Sports Arena: I might have said this beofre but I think you hit on something with Rufus in the opener. Pride is really getting a shot here in his feud with Sullivan. He better be careful what he asks for. HUGE win for the Brotherhood OMG is a MONSTER. Not sure Kendell Windham can slow him down one bit! Jimmy Jack got Pearl Harbored! I’m Jim Ross and what a show we have instore for you as we get ready for the big card this week at the Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport. One half of the Red Assassins, Alexis Smirnoff, will be taking on Frankie “Thumper” Lancaster. We will see the debut of a new tag team here in Mid-South Wrestling, the Alaskan Hunters. Hollywood John Tatum will be in action. Mike George will be taking on “Iron” Mike Sharpe. Norvel Austin will be looking for some revenge on Bob Roop and in our main event, it will be Bad News Allen defending his Mid-South Title against U.S. Steel. MATCH “Russian Assassin” Alexis Smirnoff defeated Frankie “Thumper” Lancaster with the Russian Legsweep Smirnoff really brought out the ire in the fans tonight. First, while Thumper had all the momentum, Smirnoff with a well-placed back-heel kick caught Lancaster with a low blow. From here it was one dirty trick after another. Even after the end, The Russian Assassin continued the assault of his now helpless opponent. The crowd and Jim Ross exploded as U.S. Steel hit the ring. Smirnoff was able to escape and Steel went to aid Lancaster. After the match, U.S. Steel is fuming at the interview area. He is sick and tired of the Russians come in here talking about how great Mother Russia is and how weak America is even though they can’t seem to win a match without cheating. He is so mad that he challenges Smirnoff to an Anthem Match in Shreveport where he says he is so confident he will beat Smirnoff, that he will stand up and sing the Russian Anthem if he loses. Jim Ross is a little nervous about this as he just saw Smirnoff cheat his way to victory over Thumper Lancaster. COMMERCIALS & PROMOS FOR THE MEMORIAL COLISEUM IN SHREVEPORT When we come out of the break, we see a video showing the disgusting attack by “Doctor” Michael Hayes on the blinded Terry Gordy in Pensacola General Hospital. When the video is over, we see “Dr. Death” Steve Williams at the podium with Jim Ross. Dr. Death: Jim, enough is enough. The NWA is out of control, and something must be done. Jim Ross: I’m sure it will be. NWA President, Cowboy Bill Watts, has been coming down hard on all the wrong doers of late and I’m sure Michael Hayes will pay a hefty price for his heinous actions last week. Dr. Death: Well yes and no buddy! I personally saw to it that Michael Hayes will not be fined for what he did to Terry Gordy. He will not be suspended either…. But he will pay a dear, dear price. See, I went to Bill Watts and asked that it is time to let vigilante law take over. Time to solve problems like they did back in the day. An eye for eye if you will…. One doctor to another. Bill Watts seemed to like this new way of doing things and has agreed it is time for Doctor Hayes to get a dose of his own medication and Dr. Death will be administering it. That’s right Michael Hayes… this week in Shreveport it is me and you in a STRETCHER MATCH! The match goes on until one of us can’t go on any longer and needs to be stretchered from the ring. If Terry Gordy can’t face you in the ring right now, I will take you out for him. Jim Ross informs us that because of his actions last week in Pensacola, Michael Hayes has been banned from the building tonight but if he does not show up in Shreveport, his NWA contract will be considered null and void! MATCH The Alaskan Hunters (Dale Veasey & Bob Brown) defeat Verlon Biggs & Tom Stone when Alaskan Hunter #2 dropped Stone on his head with an Exploder Suplex. Make no mistake about it, the Alaskan Hunters are not for the faint of heart and enjoyed the rough stuff. Picture the Moondogs and Sheepherders without the dog bones and silly walk. They really beat their opponents from pillar to post and from now on jobbers are going to cringe when they see who they are facing. One note here, Bob Brown is not the Bob Brown of Bulldog and Central States fame but a different, more fit, powerful wrestler. COMMERCIALS & PROMOS FOR THE MEMORIAL COLISEUM IN SHREVEPORT When we come out of break, we see NWA President Bill Watts has joined Jim Ross and they are discussing what to do with all of the wrong-doers here in Mid-South Wrestling. First thing Watts does is call out both Ernie Ladd and Sheik Adnan Al Kassie. Cowboy Bill Watts: First things first. Last week in Baton Rouge, you, Ernie Ladd threatened me. You talked about a lot of dark alleys and alligators and other things. Ernie Ladd: Here we go again. Week after week, you threaten to fine me. Suspend me. Take away my managerial license. I make a few comments about the terrain down here in Cajun Country and you get your feathers all ruffled up. All I have ever asked for from someone like you is to do your job fairly. Now, if I wanted to threaten you, you Big Dummy… you would know it! Cowboy Bill Watts: Well, I guess, for your sake, I will try to do my job a little better. The difference is, we see my job in different ways. You see it as getting out of your way and letting your man, Bad News Allen, cheat his way to victory. I see my job as giving these fans the best wrestling possible with the outcomes being determined without interference or cheating. Ernie Ladd: My man Bad News Allen hasn’t needed, and will never need any help beating those inferior, uneducated, worthless wrestlers you keep putting in the ring with him. Cowboy Bill Watts: Again, we seem to disagree. I’m sure you had something to do with Crusher Blackwell being attacked by the Masked Yankee last week but since I can’t prove it, you have not been suspended…yet. I will tell you …. if Bad News Allen survives his title match tonight against U.S. Steel … and that is a big if … this week in Shreveport, it will be Bad News defending his Mid-Sout Title against Bruiser Brody. Ladd, guarantees a win against U.S. Steel tonight but then complains about the fact that Watts is such a hypocrite. Just a minute ago he was talking about having real wrestling matches and now he has granted a title match to the biggest rule breaker in all of wrestling! Watts then really sends Ladd off the deep end by telling him not to worry about rule breaking with Bruiser Brody or Bad News Allen, as this match will be referred by none other than himself! Ladd is now stomping around like a Wildman. Watts seems to be enjoying this and goes one step further as he tells Ladd that the title will, again, change hands on a DQ. Ladd can’t control himself and steps to Watts and the two appear ready to come to blows but Ladd knows that will be the end of his time in Mid-South Wrestling. Instead, Ladd storms off and we hear him mumbling about Big Dummy and alligators again. Watts turns to Sheik Adnan and tells him that it is obvious the NWA is coming up with new ways to deal with all of the nonsense that is going on around here. He then explains that the NWA Board of Directors is very upset by the fact that he tried to pay Carl Fergie last week to take out Butch Reed and this is how they are going to deal with it. This week in Shreveport, it will be The Sheik’s Army (Masked Superstars &, Jake Roberts) vs Harley Race, Butch Reed &Ted Dibiase and if Sheik’s Army loses, Butch Reed will get 5 minutes alone in the ring against the Sheik. Oh, and one last stipulation… Bill Watts will once again be the special referee. Sheik Adnan goes crazy as he knows what Reed would do to him! Watts tells the Sheik to get out of here now before he decides to make it 10 minutes. Jim Ross and Watts take a moment to hype up the new attitude that Mid-South has towards dealing with its “troublemakers” before sending us back to the ring. MATCH “Hollywood” John Tatum defeats Randy Barber with a cross body block and a grab of the tights on the pin attempt. In a real quick interview, Tatum talks about how he is God’s gift to all the females around but there is only one female he has eyes on and she will be his after he takes care of Jimmy Garvin in Shreveport. When Ross asks Tatum if he is talking about Precious, he gives a creepy smile and blows a kiss into the camera. COMMERCIALS & PROMOS FOR THE MEMORIAL COLISEUM IN SHREVEPORT MATCH Mike George defeats “Iron” Mike Sharpe with a Diving Headbutt In his post-match interview, George is fuming about Black Bart hitting him with a chair last week and is ready for some retaliation this week in Shreveport. MATCH Bob Roop & Norvel Austin wrestle to a Double Countout Last time these two met, the match ended in a time limit draw, but Roop attacked Austin after the match was over. This time, Austin was ready, and the brawl spilled outside the ring and never returned. No matter how many times the ref called for the bell, these two would not stop fighting until wrestlers emptied from the back and dragged them apart. MAIN EVENT: MID-SOUTH TITLE MATCH Bad News Allen © with Ernie Ladd vs U.S. Steel Unfortunately for the fans, this title bout never took place as the man with NY Yankees mask attacked U.S. Steel before the bout ever started. This led to Bad News Allen coming out and joining in the fight against U.S. Steel. Just when it looked really bad for Steel, the crowd exploded as Bruiser Brody hit the ring… The brawl was on. Jim Ross was hyping up the card in Shreveport and TV time was up! Jim Ross: So long from the Pelican State! Dark Matches: The Patriots (Peterson & Champion) defeated The Harris Brothers with a 2nd rope shoulder block by Peterson on Ron Harris. Great show this week. I thought the Les Thatcher opening segment was really well done as it teased us both for this show and upcoming shows. It seems we need to wait a bit to find out the stipulations for the big cage match this week and we must wait weeks to find out the stipulations for Magnum's rematch at Beach Brawl. You really got us hooked! Here comes Luscious!!! I must admit I might stammer over my words in Woman ran her hand down my cheek! Great segment with BJM.... Blame me and Mid-South for Mulligan's turn on Dusty!! Thanks. LOL. Could Olympia be upset and what I think might happen... Damn... you got me hooked again. Back to reading. Zenk/Taylor... DWB... Japanese team.... the word GRAPPLE in caps... very interesting. Another hook is set. I had a felling that Budro would be the tag team partner. I'm with Gordon.... be careful Cooley and T.A. WOW... I knew there would be stipulations but everyone has something HUGE to lose. This match would sell some huge tickets. The brawl at the end doesn't make me any more sure that Landel is on the side of good for ever. Again, I'm hooked and need more CCW.

You did a great job building all of your angles for this super show. Wendi Richter continues to claim the top spot but I think she forgets that she is a tag team wrestler right now, Must admit that I was rooting for Reggie Bennett but Moretti is a great choice. This event leads us into a lot a great shows as your angles are now really organized.

You have done such a great job of building up Western States and all of its wrestlers that even though you have a smaller roster you are able to divide it into an A group and a B group and give the fans in each arena a qulaity show. In my opinion, your heels are the center of the show and that is awesome. Slick with the Headdress, Sullivan and his Army with all the chaos like the dog bone, OMG dominating ... its like they are one step ahead. That being said, it would be hard for any of your heel factions to deal with the Funks and Slater. Great job of getting everyone right where they belong.

RIVERSIDE CENTROPLEX: BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA JULY 31, 1986 Jim Ross: Welcome everybody to another hour of Mid-South Wrestling coming to you this week from Riverside Centroplex in Baton Rouge. I’m Jim Ross and my partner today is none other than NWA President, Cowboy Bill Watts. Before we get to today’s show, I would like to ask you if you and the NWA Board of Directors have come up with any new solutions to stop the chaos around the NWA and prevent the likes of Sheik Adnan Al Kassie and Ernie Ladd from interfering in matches. Cowboy Bill Watts: Jim, it seems like I have spent the last two weeks in meeting after meeting and we have come to a conclusion. Since the punishments that we had been handing out were not acting as a deterrent, we are just going to increase the punishments. In fact, we recently fined Tommy “Wildfire” Rich $100,000 for his actions in Continental Championship Wrestling and he can’t wrestle until he pays the entire fine. This might just be the last time we see Tommy Rich inside of a wrestling ring as I see no way he can pay that amount. If we need to fine someone like the Sheik a million dollars or the entire contents of the briefcase he has been carrying around, we will do it. If a 3 or 6 month suspension is not enough for the likes of Ernie Ladd, we will strip him of his managerial license. Jim Ross: What about the lawsuits Ernie Ladd has threatened? Bill Watts: Each managerial contract has a moral clause and our lawyers said we are well within our rights to take the license away from individual’s who break it. Also, by the time Ladd and his lawsuit runs its course, Ladd will be a grumpy, old man. Remember all the threats Jim Cornette gave us about his mother’s lawyers? Mid-South Wrestling is still here but guess who is not… Jim Cornette! Jim Ross: I like it. This new, tougher stand is sure to make people think twice before they do some of the things they do. Now, let’s get to all the action tonight. Bill Watts: Okay, here we go. Rocky Johnson will be taking on Ken Timbs. Black Bart will be in action against former Mid-South Champion, Mike George. Fans listen to this one. Carl Fergie from AWA fame, has arrived in Mid-South Wrestling and has made a deal with the devil. If he takes care of Hacksaw Butch Reed tonight, Sheik Adnan Al Kassie will pay him a million dollars and he will be the newest member of Sheik’s Army. We have a Mid-South Title Match as Crusher Blackwell challenges Bad News Allen and if Crusher wins by DQ, he wins the title. And in the Main Event, it will be Bruiser Brody & U.S. Steel taking on the NWA World Champion, “The Russian Nightmare Nikita Koloff and Ivan Koloff. Jim Ross: What a night this is going to be. Hopefully everybody will be on their best behavior but only time will tell. Let’s get to the ring. MATCH Rocky Johnson defeats Ken Timbs with the Boston Crab Rocky quickly tired of Timbs questionable tactics and hit him with the Soul Man Shuffle and followed it up with the submission hold. Between the entrance music (Soul Man), the physique, the charisma and the way he quickly puts down these heels, Rocky is quickly gaining popularity here in Mid-South. His post-match interview again shows a humble Rocky who is looking to face anyone who wants to get in the ring with him. COMMERCIAL BREAK + PROMOS FOR MEMORIAL COLISIEM IN SHREVEPORT When we come out of break, we see Ernie Ladd & Bad News Allen at the podium where Ladd is very direct in his comments to Bill Watts. Ernie Ladd: Watts, you think you are smart. You think you are tough. You think you have come up with a way to stop “The Big Cat.” The problem is you are nothing but a big old, fat hypocrite. You make rules for Sheik and myself, but don’t make any rules for your old buddies or Uncle Tom’s that you got running around here. Uncle Tom Rocky Johnson just beat Ken Timbs by punching him multiple times in the head. Did you punish him… No, you were right there with these Cajun hillbillies cheering him on. You talk about taking my managerial license away. Go ahead and try as I’m getting sick and tired of all you’re threats. There are a lot of dark roads and swamps down here in Louisiana. Plenty of places not to be found. Plenty of hungry gators. I hear they like white meat with a lot of fat! Watts is fuming and demands to know it Ladd is threatening him. Ladd responds by saying he is just stating simple facts and that a lot of people, unlike Watts and his old buddies, think like him. He then turns to Bad News Allen match tonight and tells Watts that he can take his Title Changes Hands Tonight On A DQ stipulation and stick it where the sun don’t shine. Bad News Allen: Crusher Blackwell… You might be from Stone Mountain, Georgia… you might by the size of a mountain… you might call yourself Crusher… but tonight, the Mountain gets topped off and the Crusher gets Crushed! MATCH: Black Bart vs Mike George Bart, at nearly 320 pounds has a good 40 pounds on George and he thinks he can just run over him but he soon finds out that Mike George is not only a good wrestler but tough as nails. George keeps Bart off balance for a few minutes with your typical arm bars and headlocks but when Bart goes for the dirty stuff, George is in the middle of the ring going toe to toe with the big, ornery cowboy. This one ends in a Double Count-out as the two end up brawling on the outside! Black Bart comes out on top of this exchange as he clobbers Mike George with a chair. Bill Watts, still angry at being threatened by Ernie Ladd, wants to show everyone that he is the boys, immediately suspends Black Bart for one week. Jim Ross and the fans like the announcement but it does seem a little overboard for one chair shot. COMMERCIAL BREAK + PROMOS FOR MEMORIAL COLISIEM IN SHREVEPORT When we come out of break, Jim Ross lets everyone know that we are going to live to Pensacola General Hospital for the first interview with North American Champion, Terry Gordy since the attack by Michael Hayes at the Great American Bash which has left the champion blind in both eyes. Terry Gordy: I just want to let everyone know that this is the toughest thing I have ever had to go through, but I promise each and every one of you that I’m going to do everything in my power to get back in that ring some day and get even with Michael Hayes. I might not have my vision yet but I’m confident that I will see again even though the doctors are not so sure. At this point, a “doctor” comes in the room wearing those blue scrubs from head to toe. It does seem like a few locks of blonde hair are coming out of the doctor’s cap he is wearing as the interviewer rushes over to try and get an update on the condition of Gordy. Doctor: All I can say is that Terry Gordy has been down a long and difficult road, but it is nothing compared to what he is going to go through right now. Now… he is on Bad Street U.S.A.! The doctor takes off the mask and hat and we see that it is Michael Hayes who proceeds to beat Gordy with everything that is not locked down in the hospital room. Food trays, bed pans, IV Cords… everything. Gordy is flailing away; defenseless against the attack from Hayes as he has no idea where the next blow is coming from as he can’t see a thing. Eventually nurses rush in and “Doctor” Michael Hayes makes a quick exit from Pensacola General Hospital. As the interview ends, we hear Terry Gordy screaming that he is going to get Michael Hayes if it’s the last thing he does! Back in Baton Rouge… Jim Ross: Oh my, Michael Hayes has gone to levels that I never thought possible. I mean these two used to be friends… Tag Team partners… and now, I just don’t know what to say. Bill Watts: I don’t know what to say. After seeing that, I know there will be more meetings with the NWA Board of Directors and I hope that we have seen the last of Michael Hayes! Joining Jim Ross next is Sheik Adnan Al Kassie and his stable where we get a minute or so of hyping up the fact that he believes the Masked Superstars are about to be the new World Tag Team Champions and how Jake “The Snake” Roberts” will deserve a gift after he rids the NWA of the over-the-hill- Harley Race. The real focus of the interview though is that they have all come out to watch Carl Fergie who promised them last week that, for the contents of the last briefcase, he would take care of Hacksaw Butch Reed for the Sheik. MATCH Hacksaw Butch Reed vs Carl Fergie (If Ferige wins, he joins Sheiks’s Army and the Million Dollar Briefcase) Forget the money! Fergie gets beat pillar to post in about 2 minutes with the end coming when Reed followed up a military press slam with a top rope flying shoulder block. Reed was all pumped up and dared the Sheik and his henchman, Jos Leduc to get in the ring but they both seemed to know that today was not the day to challenge Butch Reed. Reed is so fired up in his post-match interview that he says is the Sheik is going to make it his business to put Reed out of wrestling, he better find someone a lot better than Carl Ferige to do it. He also says that it is now his job to take out the Sheik and all of his men even though he suspects that Ted Dibiase and Dr. Death will take care of the Masked Superstars on their own! COMMERCIAL BREAK + PROMOS FOR THE MEMORIAL COLISEUM IN SHREVEPORT MID-SOUTH TITLE MATCH Bad News Allen © with Ernie Ladd vs Crusher Blackwell (If Blackwell wins by DQ, He wins the Title) As Crusher Blackwell makes his way to the ring, he is attacked by a man wearing a New York Yankees mask. The masked attacker really does a number on Blackwell and rams him head first into the ring post and then hammers away at him with a chair. Jim Ross is sure it is the “Mighty Yankee” Billy Jack Strong but NWA President, Bill Watts explains that he can not issue any type of punishment on the Mighty Yankee as he has no prove it was him. As for the match, give Crusher some credit here as he gave it his all after the attack, but it is hard enough to beat Bad News Allen when you are full strength; never mind after an attack with a chair. Crusher did have some time wrestling from the top and even tried to hoist Allen up for the airplane spin but just couldn’t succeed at Allen came crashing down on top of Crusher. From here on out, it was Bad News the entire way with the end coming after a Ghetto Blaster by Allen. Ernie Ladd, outside of a little banter with the ref, did nothing to interfere in this match as he seems to know that Bill Watts means business. The question is…. Did he have anything to do with the pre-match attack by the masked Yankee? COMMERCIAL BREAK + PROMOS FOR MEMORIAL COLISEUM IN SHREVEPORT MAIN EVENT Bruiser Brody & U.S. Steel vs Ivan & Nikita Koloff Violent, energy-packed match that has the fans on the edge of their seats. Last time we saw Brody in the ring with the World Champ, Ivan got involved and helped the “Russian Nightmare” to sickle Ivan. This time, Brody gets some revenge as he broke free from the grasp of Ivan at the last second during a double team by the Russians and Nikita actually sickled Ivan. Ivan goes down hard out onto the arena floor, WHAM… Brody with a huge mauling knee lift on Nikita…. The only problem was that he hit Nikita so hard that Nikita flies out on the floor with Ivan. While the fans loved this, it gave the Russians time to regroup and regroup they did! A little later in the match… WHAM… Russian Sickle by Nikita on U.S. Steel. 1…2…. Here comes Brody for the save… Ivan tries to stop him. WHAM… Knee lift by Brody on Ivan and down he goes again but it did its job as Brody can’t get to U.S. Steel in time. 3! Jim Ross: What a match folks. To bad for Brody and U.S. Steel who came up just a little short. What an hour of wrestling it has been. I’m sure next week, Bill Watts will have some answers on the disgusting action by Michael Hayes. Hopefully we will know for sure if the masked man who attacked Crusher Blackwell was The Mighty Yankee. That and so much more! See you next week right here on the Superstation. So long from the Pelican State! DARK MATCHES: Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin with Precious defeated Gorgeous Gary Young with the Brainbuster. Jake “The Snake” Roberts defeats Harley Race with the DDT. Race was distracted by Leduc who was up on the apron threatening to hit Race with the briefcase when Roberts came up from behind. Sheik seemed very pleased with both Leduc and Roberts! NWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Ted Dibiase & Dr. Death Steve Williams wrestled the Masked Superstars to a 30-minute draw. This match saw it all both inside and outside the ring. Leduc tried the same distracting tactics as he did in the match between Race and the Snake but this time Harley Race rushed down to ringside and battled with Leduc. We also saw Jake Roberts come down to the ring to be with the Sheik. Hacksaw Butch Reed decided to plan ahead and came down just in case Roberts got involved. Nothing really came of this, but Reed and Roberts did have quite the stare down. As for the match itself, these two teams can do it all and the match was back and forth. This might have been an eye opener for the champs as they now know they are going to need to bring their “A” game against the Superstars or those titles will not be theirs for very long.

WOW! First of all, as I was reading the Gilberts vs The Studd Stable, I kept saying to myself was this violent post match attack going to be allowed in the new NWA. Right as I thought that, here comes Les with the 90 suspension. WOW. I liked how all 3 teams in the ring stopped their brawl right away after the warning. This showed Les has gotten through. NEVER... NEVER... NEVER did I expect the Mulligan turn. He has some explanining to do. Awesome show that the fans of CCW will be talking about forever.

It is all very interesting and very well done. It also gives you a lot of possible twists and turns down the road. NIce work.

Wow... the NWA officials are on the rampage. Dusek comes down right away and suspends or fines on the spot. Maybe the NWA is having money problems. LOL Jumbo is a very interesting wrestler. He is with Tojo but is usually very respectable to his opponents. Here he accepts the handshake from Dutch! I like it a lot but wonder what Tojo thinks about it. Embry survives the first big match of the week... can he beat the Rebel next? Pride in a draw with Whatley... he deserves a title shot now. Slick better start saving for his fine now as he might need to get invilved if the belt is on the line. Rufus... what are you thinking. YOu can't headbutt a hockey mask! Very creative!! Nice win for The Brotherhood! Dusek still trying to earn some more cash for the NWA!!

Awesome show. I like how you tied in Watts and chaos across the entire NWA. Sullivan being fined 50,000 and suspended is interesting. He will either steal the money or just go on to torment another promotion. This one is good to watch! Embry was awesomely rude on the mic today! It will be interesting to see if he is still the champ when the week is done. Dutch-Jumbo.... Solid feud going on here but Jumbo might just be a bit more than Dutch can handle. We will see. Akbar and Devastation Inc seemed poised to take over for any missing heelish tactics with the Dungeon of Doom being out a week.
