  4. Star Wars delivers! What a great card....fun battle royal with DJ Peterson scoring a big win that got him a title shot against Hercules Hernandez and even if he didn't win it's a great way to establish him here in World Class. Blackjacks get the titles, they still got it! Flair helps the Von Erichs run the Freebirds outta Texas....interesting to see what becomes of this.
  5. Great six man tag match with two of the most bizarre teams of all time yet somehow it works....lol...good stuff the Main Event six man is great as well but the teams seem a bit more likely with Kamala and the Samoans against the Rougeaus and Dino Bravo. Fun show from top to bottom!
  6. Muraco is a great addition to your roster....looking forward to seeing where things go with him Shocking title change.....Sawyer beats Reed.....I loved Reed's title reign but Sawyer makes for a great champ as well.
  7. Great card for the Louisville Gardens! Can't wait! I love the idea of Jesse Barr as Mr. Wrestling 3 tagging with Mr. Wrestling 2! Awesome TV Main Event with Lawler/Dream Machine against HTM/Wells!
  8. Count me in as being excited about the Bulldogs vs. Road Warriors!

  11. Solid cards....especially the semi-main and main events.....I love the team of Schultz/Murdoch!
  12. I like the territory split, you do a good job of giving the shows distinctly different feels. Nikita vs. Gilbert is a hard one to call.....but Nikita has some huge momentum going into their showdown. Love the Savage/Heenan match....those fans went home happy!

  14. AWA Southeastern Championship Wrestling Television WTVY Ch. 4 Studio Dothan, Alabama Airing at 5:30pm on Saturday May 18, 1984 Hosted by Charlie Platt & Ronnie P. Gossett Interviews: Rick Stewart AWA Southeastern Commissioner: Les Thatcher (As the show opened this week we see highlights from last night in Columbus, Mississippi where the Midnight Express defeated Pogo/Nagasaki in an 'Oriental Death Match' and after the match gave Mr. Pogo a spike piledriver on the floor that saw Pogo leave unresponsive in an ambulance, we then go to the opening montage and to our hosts Charlie Platt and Ronnie P. Gossett) Platt: "Hello and welcome once again to Southeastern Championship Wrestling and what a huge show we have for you here this week." RPG: "I cannot believe what we just saw that took place in Columbus, Mississippi last night….the Midnight Express have gone off the deep end." Platt: "Well, Condrey and Rose are two guys who don't claim to be fan favorites….Tojo's men picked a fight with two guys who will get just as down and dirty as they will and it look likes Mr. Pogo may be on the shelf a while." RPG: "To say the least Charlie Platt, it looks like he's probably two inches shorter as well after being spiked on the floor like that….that was atrocious." Platt: "I do know that we'll be seeing Tojo's men in action later today as the Great Kabuki will be teaming with Kendo Nagasaki here on television and later on tonight they will be looking for revenge as they will face the Midnight Express at the Houston County Farm Center in a tag team Southern Street Fight!" RPG: "That should be a brutal war…..as it has been for weeks amongst these guys." Platt: "Well, more on that later…..we'll also have Les Thatcher out here shortly to announce who will be challenging Ric Flair tonight for the Southeastern Championship, we'll also see Alabama Champion Mr. Olympia in action today here in the studio as well as AWA World Champion Hulk Hogan and Mystery Partner taking on the Assassins but right now let's go to the ring to see the Grappler in action." ============================= The Grappler pinned Randy Watson after a swinging neck breaker ============================= COMMERCIAL BREAK ============================= (Charlie Platt is joined at ringside by Commissioner Les Thatcher) Platt: "Les, last week you promised that if Ric Flair managed to successfully defend against 'Wildcat' Wendell Cooley, which he did that you had a very special challenger coming in looking to get a shot at the Southeastern Championship." Thatcher: "Yes Charlie, I certainly did." Platt: It's been a long week as we've all been in suspense wondering who on earth it could be….so how about you send the suspense and tell us right now who will be challenging 'the Nature Boy' tonight here in Dothan." Thatcher: "Charlie, I could do that…..I could tell you right now all about this gentleman and how much he's looking forward to stepping into that ring with Ric Flair…..but how about instead….I just let him come out here and tell you himself….." (Thatcher points to the curtain as the familiar tune of 'Bad to the Bone' blasts in the studio the crowd goes wild as the one and only 'BULLET' BOB ARMSTRONG RETURNS TO SOUTHEASTERN!!) Platt: "Ladies and Gentlemen I can't believe it…..the Bullet has returned, Bob welcome back!" Bullet: "Charles, it's great to be back right here in 'Sweet Home Alabama'! Not only is it great to be back in Southeastern but it's going to be even greater when I strap that Southeastern Championship around my waist after I put the 'Nature Boy' down tonight…..and it's also going to be great to team up with the one and only Hulkster right here on tv against those nasty Asssassins in just a short while in this ring right behind us." Platt: "I know the fans hope that you'll be able to take that title from Ric Flair but Bullet, a lot of people have tried to take that belt from Flair in your absence and have been unsuccessful namely due to his manager Paul Jones." Bullet: "Charlie Platt, don’t worry one bit about ol' Paul Jones because I got a little surprise for him tonight…..he will be accounted for and Ric Flair is going to be all mine….I'm bringing home the gold tonight at the Houston County Farm Center!" ============================= "Exotic" Adrian Street w/Ms. Linda defeated Ted Allen with an Oklahoma Roll ============================== Rick Stewart runs down the card for tonight at the Houston County Farm Center: Southeastern Championship Wrestling Houston County Farm Center Dothan, Alabama Saturday May 18, 1984 Bell time: 8:30pm Brickhouse Brown vs. The Grappler Eight Man Tag Team Match The Nightmares (Davis/Wayne)/Steve Armstrong/Johnny Rich Vs. 15. Great showing here, I agree with Edger about how well you've capture both the feel of Lutte along with the WWF of this time period. Star studded Battle Royal and of course the right man won, this would have been the talk of my school on Monday! Nice win for Hogan over the Animal The Samoans are being well established as champions, can't wait for their eventual showdown with the Warriors at some point!
  16. Gino Hernandez wasting no time in putting gold around his waist.....I like it, looking forward to seeing his story unfold here in Florida The Briscos seem to hold the answers we're all looking for....can't wait to see whose behind all this!! Dory Funk Jr seems to be falling on some of those "hard times" Dusty likes to talk about.
  17. Great show that really built up the June 7 card! I love Johnny V taking away the name and giving it to Goldie Rogers, a great way to lead right into their match and give it meaning. I've always been a fan of Johnny V, I really enjoyed him co-hosting the old Coliseum Videos back in the late 80's. What a great way to get Chavo over and establish him as a serious threat to Tully's title.....the "moral victory" lasting 10 minutes gets him over with the crowd and shows he can handle Tully, a couple of weeks ago he was mostly looked at as a tag team guy...but in no time at all you've established him as a legit threat to Tully's TV title...great stuff! Roop helps Bock get the win and now Tito is going to be looking for revenge and what title match we're getting with Bockwinkel vs. Funk!
  18. Amazing opening with the Freebirds destroying Al Madril.....and it's just managed to get more chaotic from there! Loved Pringle as the co-host, hope to see more of this. Great promo from "Dr. D" and love the attack on Houston in his debut....what a great way to make it impactful while making him sympathetic in the process, very well done. Bart and Bass continue to get heat and show they are serious champions.....and the Blackjacks are back together. A stellar episode of television here.....kudos from top to bottom...just amazing stuff!
  19. Good to see the return of Stampede and a great card for the fans here and what a shocking turn of events with the Rheinghans and the High Flyers....things may get crazy here with a full scale war between Verne and Stu....I like it! Big win for Gilbert here!!
  20. Southeastern drops Mr. Pogo

  22. Super excited to see what happens with Gino Hernandez in the game and amidst the craziness that is Florida wrestling! Holy crap! Ms. Elizabeth gets burned....the Link is going to be looking for revenge looking forward to the development of "Mr. Magnificent"....hopefully Kevin Kelly will have a better future in our world than playing a 'convict'
  23. Great win for the Islanders Freebirds get a victory over Kevin and Madril, the feud continues to heat up A lot of great matches on this card but for some reason Windham vs. Hercules really stands out to me as a match I would have to love to see! I'm sure Kerry vs. Schultz got pretty wild!
  24. Loving Butch Reed as National Champion here
  25. Southeastern drops Bill Ash to get back to the roster limit of 46.
