  1. Continental Championship Wrestling TV Previously Recorded/Airing on Saturday December 11, 1986 Host: Charlie Platt Co-Host: Ronnie P. Gossett Ring Announcer: Freddie Miller Interviewer: Joe Pedicino (Show opens with highlights from last week's ten man tag team elimination match featuring the return of AUSTIN IDOL as the Mystery Partner of Cooley/Dundee/Olympia/JYD against Slick's Stable of Landel/Bad News/Fuller/Golden/Mantell when Idol made the CCW Champion Buddy Landel submit to the 'Las Vegas Leglock' to win the match for his team---we then go to the opening montage and over to the desk with Charlie Platt and Ronnie P. Gossett) Platt: "Welcome once again to Continental Championship Wrestling, I'm Charlie Platt along with…." (Before Platt can even finish that sentence, Buddy Landel barges in followed by Slick and Bad News Allen) Landel: "How dare you, Charlie Platt!?!? That's how you people choose to open the show by showing that travesty…..by showing that bleach blonde Buddy Landel wannabe Austin Idol who wasn't even man enough to admit he was their partner beforehand, he wanted the advantage of sneaking in so we couldn't prepare for him!" RPG: "Buddy, I totally agree….it was a fluke…it was a one in a million stroke of luck coupled with the fact that you were blindsided with him showing up and obviously that no good Ron Fuller was behind it!" Slick: "That was a joke! It's exactly what Ronnie P. just said…it was a fluke! If they wrestled a hundred more times, Idol couldn't do that again, not even one more time!" Platt: "Well, it's funny you mention that Slick. This Monday night in Jackson, Mississippi it's going to be 'Tag Team Turmoil' night and every match on the card will be a tag match. Some regular tags, some six man, eight man, etc. However, one of the matches that should interest you and your men is a tag team match that is being referred to as the 'Winner's Choice' Match which will feature Austin Idol teaming with 'Wildcat' Wendell Cooley against 'Nature Boy' Buddy Landel and Bad News Allen with the winning team being allowed to choose the stipulation of their singles matches against the same opponents at Christmas Clash on Christmas night." Landel: "Wait? So you're telling me….that not IF but WHEN, Bad News and myself beat Idol and Cooley. I can pick the stipulation for a singles match against Austin Idol on Christmas which would include the stipulation, NON TITLE?" Platt: "I suppose that would be a stipulation you could choose." Bad News: "More importantly, that means that I can make that dime store wannabe Cowboy face me in a Harlem Streetfight on Christmas night in front of all those beer bellied sharecroppers in Rome, Georgia!" Slick: "No problem then, Charlie Platt, we got this handled! You said ONE of the matches I would be interested in? What other match would I be interested in?" Platt: "It seems like you would be interested in the Continental Tag Team title match where your guys Robert Fuller and Jimmy Golden will defend the titles against the Junkyard Dog and Mr. Olympia." Slick: "They don't deserve another title shot! We already defended against them!" Platt: "Yes, and we all know how that went and the fact that you interfered to save the titles by disqualification." Landel: "Enough about that Charlie Platt, Fuller and Golden will be just fine. Let's talk some more about the fact that Austin Idol is a bleach blonde Buddy Landel rip off! He's a wannabe! He's the world's biggest Buddy Landel fan and he just wants to do everything he can to try and be like me!" RPG: "And why wouldn't he, Charlie Platt? This man right here is the best wrestler in the world today! Better than the NWA Champion Timmy Blanchard! Better than the AWA Champion Ricky Showboat! Better than the UWF Champion Butch Reeves! He's certainly better than that cartoon character the WWF calls a champion! This man is the best wrestler in the world today and Austin Idol can't hold a candle to the Nature Boy!" Landel: "Ronnie baby, I couldn't have said it better myself!" (Bad News rolls his eyes as they all turn to leave) Platt: "We'll be telling you the rest of the tag team matches taking place at Tag Team Turmoil shortly but right now let's go to the ring for our opening bout." =================== MATCH #1: The Junkyard Dog/Mr. Olympia defeated Buster Scruggs/Curly Jefferson when JYD gave Scruggs the 'THUMP' powerslam to get the pinfall Post match: JYD tells Joe Pedicino that hopefully Slick learned his lesson last time when he "got his little narrow tail thumped" for interfering and all it will take is a fair shot for them to become the tag team champions. Olympia mentions that he and JYD were tag team champions together in Mid South back in the day and that they would like nothing better than to bring home those Continental Tag Team Titles in Jackson, Mississippi! ==================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ==================== Charlie Platt runs down the full card for Monday night: Continental Championship Wrestling Presents TAG TEAM TURMOIL '86 Mississippi Fairgrounds Coliseum Jackson, Mississippi Monday December 13, 1986 Bell Time- 7:30pm MAIN EVENT WINNER'S CHOICE TAG TEAM CHALLENGE MATCH "Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley vs. "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel Bad News Allen w/ Slick SEMI-MAIN EVENT Continental Tag Team Title-Rematch Robert Fuller/Jimmy Golden w/Slick vs. Junkyard Dog/Mr. Olympia EIGHT MAN TAG TEAM ELIMINATION MATCH The Bullet/Scott Armstrong/The New Breed vs. Adrian Adonis/Eric Embry/Starr Power w/Sherri Martel GRUDGE TAG TEAM MATCH Corporal Kirchner/"Exotic" Adrian Street w/Ms. Linda vs. Killer Khan/"The Great" Al Madril TAG TEAM STRAP MATCH Johnny/Davey Rich vs. Brett/Buzz Sawyer EIGHT MAN TAG TEAM ELIMINATION MATCH The Grappler/Mighty Goliath/Billy Joe Travis/The Cobra with Downtown Bruno vs. The Nightmares/Doug Furnas/Scorpio The Southern Boys (Steve Armstrong/Tracy Smothers) vs. The Desperados (Bill Irwin/Killer Brooks) w/Scott Irwin ================== MATCH #2: "Adorable" Adrian Adonis/"Flamboyant" Eric Embry/"Marvelous" Mark Starr/"Loverboy" Lance Starr w/Sherri Martel defeated Mitch Snow/Ray Odyssey/Todd Morton/Randy Watson when Mark Starr pinned Watson after the "Falling Starr" Post match: Embry says that he and Adonis are the perfect team and then when you throw in the Starr Power of Lance and Mark they are unstoppable! Sherri adds that since Eric beat Scott Armstrong last week and 'Adorable' Adrian clearly has the Bullet's number…winning this match is a foregone conclusion because the New Breed don't have a prayer of EVER beating Starr Power as you'll find out later in the show! ==================== In the dressing room, Joe Pedicino is joined by Johnny/Davey Rich. Pedicino says it's unusual that the Sawyers got the win last week yet they still have insisted on facing Johnny and Davey this week in a double leather strap match. Johnny says that he agrees it's unusual but he and cousin Davey are more than happy to face them again and they aren't the list be intimidated by those leather straps! ===================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ===================== MATCH #3: The Southern Boys (Steve Armstrong/Tracy Smothers) defeated Sammy Hall/Roy Munson when Smothers lifted up Munson to be dropkicked off the top rope by Armstrong who got the pin! Post match: Armstrong says he's been struggling to find his way in pro wrestling but now that he's teamed up with Tracy Smothers, they have their sights set on becoming the Continental Tag Team Champions! Smothers says he learned a lot up in the Pacific territory and he's gotten accustomed to gold being around his waist and it won't be long before he and Steve Armstrong are wearing some gold here in CCW! ======================= As the Southern Boys leave ringside, the camera cuts to the ring where Les Thatcher is joined by Terry Taylor who is wearing a suit and holding the Continental Television Championship belt. Les calls for the footage to be shown of Billy Joe Travis breaking the guitar over the head over Terry Taylor at the close of their match last Monday night in Montgomery. Taylor announces that he's been through a series of tests this week at the insistence of the management of Continental and the Doctor's have determined that due to the severity of the concussion he suffered from the guitar shot from Billy Joe Travis, he will not be cleared to wrestle for at least three weeks. Les Thatcher says that it's his unfortunate duty since the Television title must be defended weekly, that he must strip Terry Taylor of the championship. Taylor hands the belt over to Thatcher as the crowd 'boos'. As Thatcher takes the title belt from Taylor, Downtown Bruno, the Mighty Goliath, and Billy Joe Travis enter the ring as Goliath snatches the belt from Thatcher and hands it over to Travis! Bruno takes the microphone and says that since Travis is the reason Taylor is no longer champion then he is rightfully the new champion, as Travis quickly exits with the championship belt as Thatcher argues with Bruno while we go to another commercial break ========================= COMMERCIAL BREAK ========================= RPG: "Well Charlie Platt, for weeks people have wondered who would be the one to dethrone Terry Taylor as Television Champion and it turned out to be Billy Joe Travis, congrats to the new champ!" Platt: "First of all, Travis is NOT the new champion…" RPG: "Possession is nine tenths of the law, Charlie Platt. Billy Joe Travis possesses the belt, does he not?" Platt: "For the moment but I'm sure that will be rectified soon enough. Terry Taylor has been a tremendous fighting champion and it's just an absolute shame for his title reign to end this way. It's a disgrace." RPG: "Well, you don't have to call Taylor a disgrace…" Platt: "I wasn't referring to Terry Taylor as a disgrace, I'm referring to what Travis did….anyway due to how heated things have become between Adrian Street and Al Madril, it was decided that neither one should be allowed to be here tonight but they will be there in Jackson, Mississippi this Monday night as newcomer Corporal Kirchner has agreed to be Street's partner against Madril and his newfound friend, Killer Khan." RPG: "I don't know much about Colonel Klink or whatever his name is, but clearly he's lacking in intelligence to volunteer to team with Street especially against two men as dangerous as Al Madril and Killer Khan." Platt: "I think it's a statement about how much guts the man has, speaking of having guts…let's hear from the 'American Dream' Dusty Rhodes about his upcoming chain match at Christmas Clash." RPG: "He certainly has A gut…I don't know about guts in general…." Platt: "Give a rest, Gossett…" -------------------------------------- (VTR- Dusty Rhodes is standing outside of a hospital wearing a Magnum T.A. t-shirt) Dusty: "I'm here at the hospital visiting with my best friend Magnum T.A. and I want you to know that he needs your thoughts, he needs your prayers and all the good vibes you can send his way, baby. I've been quiet about all dis N dubya A nonsense, I've been disappointed with the way it's all gone down but what's done is done and we're moving on. If I beat you, you take yo big old ugly self back to New Mexico or wherever it is you came from and take Chicky Baby witcha!!" (END VTR) ---------------------------------------- MATCH #4: "Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol/"Wildcat" Wendell Cooley defeated The Galaxians (Zoltar/Quazar) when Cooley hit Zoltar with a running bulldog then tagged in Idol who made him submit to the "Las Vegas Leglock" Post match: Idol tells Joe Pedicino that he hopes there are people still watching the show after it started out with Landel crying about losing right outta the gate. Idol says that Ric Flair wannabe calling him a Buddy Landel wannabe was laughable. He says the only thing he "wants to be" is the Continental champion and he says once him and Wendell Cooley win this "Winner's Choice" match on Monday he'll be getting his title shot on Christmas night! Cooley interjects that if Bad News wants a so called Harlem Streetfight at Christmas Clash, he can have one no matter who wins on Monday night! ================ COMMERCIAL BREAK ================ MATCH #5: MAIN EVENT The New Breed (Chris Champion/Sean Royal) defeated Starr Power (Lance/Mark Starr) w/Sherri Martel by DQ when Adrian Adonis and Eric Embry hit the ring and attacked Champion and Royal....until The Bullet and Scott Armstrong ran in to even the odds.....the show went off the air with all eight men fighting it out in the ring! Slick grabs the microphone….."I knew it! I knew it! I told these guys you were going to be the partner! Hobble yo big lanky butt in here and these boys will finish what they started." Ron Fuller from outside the ring, "Wrong again, Slickster! An old friend of mine gave me a call and said he'd like to get his hands on the so called champ, Buddy Landel…..so come on down here. Welcome these guy's partner……."The Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol!! Wendell Cooley pinned Robert Fuller after a running bulldog Cooley and Bad News were both counted out while brawling on the floor Austin Idol made Buddy Landel submit to the 'Las Vegas Leglock' to win the match!
  3. Continental drops Ron Slinker
  4. The regional titles are out. This is an interesting development. Tully has a tough challenge right out of the gate, Flair lost to Harley, will Tully meet the same fate? Paul Jones being back here just feels right, he has quickly built up an impressive Army and he may not be done yet! Sullivan is gone....but is it for good? That remains to be seen. Can't wait to see who manages to take the Television title! Christmas Chaos in Greensboro is going to put the new NWA on course for a wild 1987!
  5. Solid card for Last Stand! Proud to see Brad Armstrong right in the title mix here! Getting out from under the rest of the family might be good for him. Jake vs. Rocky title vs. title could be a show stealer! Vader is a bad ass even at this point but beating both Patriots may be a tall order even for him! Well well well Cowboy Bill steps back between the ropes...you can bet Ernie Ladd will have a plan in place for sure! The six man tag has my attention, very interesting to see who ends up going away. Reed vs. Dibiase makes for a helluva championship match...whoever wins UWF has a very solid champion! Last Stand is going to be a great way for UWF to end the year with a bang!
  6. I have to agree that promo from the Red Texan was so well done! As mentioned it also gets the heart punch over in the process...great stuff! Akbar is confident but he better not underestimate Regal! "El Jefe" continues to be a favorite of mine! You're managing to make a bunch of guys I never cared about in real life interesting, which is impressive. It looks like the long standing rivalry between The Highwaymen and The Glamour Boys may finally come to head....tough one to call! Babyface Keirn is picture perfect for Florida! Can't wait to see what happens with him here! Man, going back to your time booking WWF here, you're crazy Backlund is one of the most entertaining characters in the game, the way he went from 0 to 100 here with Gordon was amazing! Looking forward to seeing him challenge Hercules! Another thoroughly show!
  7. It's always interesting to see the reset after a big event and SuperClash had so many great stories coming to a head...this episode should be fun! Colon joining King Curtis solidifies his heel turn as not just something that was done for the match with Steamboat, I think this is a smart move! Rock & Roll vs. the Japanese duo for the tag titles should make for some classic matches! Cabin Fever will either make or break Zbyzsko and Perez as a team. Bockwinkel vs. Hennig is going to be great! Win or lose, Hennig will certainly level up working with Bock! Tommy Rich's reign of terror in this game continues in the AWA! Rich vs. Lawler will be fun to see unfold!
  8. Continental Championship Wrestling TV Previously Recorded/Airing on Saturday December 4, 1986 Host: Charlie Platt Co-Host: Ronnie P. Gossett Ring Announcer: Freddie Miller Interviewer: Joe Pedicino (The show opens with footage of the end of last week's Continental Championship match where it appeared 'Wildcat' Wendell Cooley was mere moments from defeating Buddy Landel for the Continental title when the newest member of Slick's Stable debuted and interfered, Bad News Allen making his return to CCW! We then go to the opening montage and over to the desk with Charlie Platt and Ronnie P. Gossett) Platt: "Hello and welcome once again to Continental Championship Wrestling, I'm Charlie Platt and I'm joined as always by Ronnie P. Gossett, and Ronnie of all the people I thought could show up to join the Stable, Bad News Allen was not among them." RPG: "That's why it was a genius move on the part of the Slickster! You have to admit that Slick has made all the right moves so far and he's a MUCH better leader to the Stable than Ron Fuller EVER was!" Platt: "Well, that's certainly a matter of opinion but I do admit that so far, Slick has managed to somehow get all those egos to co-exist." RPG: "I'm looking forward to here in a few moments when we see the television debut of a tag team that showed up in Biloxi last Monday night and attacked Johnny and Davey Rich…..and that team is none other than Brett and Buzz Sawyer!" Platt: "I honestly don't know what to make of those guys just ambushing the Richs like that…." (Before Platt can finish that sentence, Eric Embry comes strolling out to the desk) "Can we help you with something, Mr. Embry?" Embry: "I'm just here to formally announce that I have my made my choice and I have left the NWA to join up with Continental Championship Wrestling, I forfeited the NWA World Jr Heavyweight Championship so I could come here and compete." Platt: "That's not entirely true, you actually LOST that title over in Japan last week, you didn't forfeit the title." (Embry looks bumfuzzled) RPG: "Charlie Platt, how dare you question this man! He's a former World Champion, even if it was for that nothing happening NWA, when he held that title it was prestigious….now some random Japanese guy no one has ever heard of has the belt. You should be celebrating the fact, a champion the stature of Eric Embry has chosen to come to CCW." Embry: "Thank you Ronnie, I appreciate the fact that at least, YOU respect talent and know how to treat people unlike this joker here. Who is this guy? What happened to Gordon Solie? Did they finally send him to rehab?" RPG: "This is Charlie Platt, apparently he's a big deal down in Dothan. Anyway, you're right…he's very disrespectful and dismissive and I apologize on his behalf…..anyway, what brings you to Continental?" Embry: "Well, Ronnie I'm glad you asked. You see now that the NWA Jr title is as useless as a toothbrush in an Alabama trailer park, the most important junior heavyweight title in the country right now is the United States Junior heavyweight championship and I want a shot at it….now!" Platt: "Look Mr. Embry, while I'm sure you do have to be considered a top contender, the champion Tom Prichard is currently over in Japan defending that title, which he hopefully will have better luck defending than you had defending yours but right now Scott Armstrong has been promised the next shot at the title when Prichard returns for Christmas Clash on Christmas night in Rome, Georgia." Embry: "Platt, first off….I don't appreciate the dig at me….with that whole 'hope he has better luck than you' line. That's strike one for you! As for Scott Armstrong, I don't like him…I've had issues here with him in the past so if he's next in line, it only stands to reason that if I beat him then I'M next in line so I'm issuing a challenge to little Scotty Armstrong right now to face me this Monday night in Montgomery, Alabama." Platt: "I'm sure that Les Thatcher will take that under advisement and present that challenge to Scott Armstrong and knowing Scott like I do, I won't surprised if he accepts. However, right now we have to go to the ring for tag team action with the Sawyers." =============== MATCH #1: Brett/Buzz Sawyer defeated Mitch Snow/Randy Watson when Brett powerslammed Watson and Buzz gave him a splash off the top rope Post match: Buzz Sawyer takes the mic from the ring announcer as he's declaring them the winners. Sawyer says that he doesn't care if the fans love or hate any of the Richs, the Sawyers will always hate the Rich family and will fight them every chance they get and what happened last Monday night was just the beginning! Johnny/Davey Rich ran down the aisle and hit the ring and a wild brawl ensued until Platt called for a commercial so "order could be restored" ============== COMMERCIAL BREAK ============== (VTR- "Tennessee Stud" Ron Fuller is seen for the first time since he was attacked by his own Stable a few weeks back. Fuller says that he's not quite able to come back to the ring just yet BUT he knows with the addition of Bad News Allen, Cooley/Dundee/JYD/Olympia are outnumbered in their upcoming 10 man elimination match against the Stable in Montgomery so he has personally went out and recruited a mystery partner for them this Monday night that can't wait to get his hands on Buddy Landel! Fuller says, "Who could it be? Be there Monday night to find out!") ============== MATCH #2: Corporal Kirchner pinned Sammy Hall after a fallaway slam ============== We cut to ringside where Joe Pedicino has been joined by Doug Furnas. Pedicino points out that last Monday with Terry Taylor in his corner, Furnas managed to score a victory over Billy Joe Travis. Furnas says that Taylor has quickly become a mentor to him and he appreciates everything that Taylor is doing for him. Downtown Bruno comes out and says that Furnas is a joke and couldn't win a match without Terry Taylor helping him, says that Furnas is "just another muscle head with a million dollar body and a ten cent brain", Bruno follows that up by slapping Furnas in the face! Furnas grabs him by the throat and lifts him into the air choking him until from behind Billy Joe Travis breaks a guitar across Furnas' back laying him out and freeing Bruno. Travis said he calls that tune, "the Balled of Dumbbell Dougie" when Terry Taylor comes running down the aisle which sends Travis and Bruno heading in the opposite direction as Taylor kneels down to check on his friend ============== MATCH #3 Tag Team Challenge Match The Grappler/The Mighty Goliath w/Downtown Bruno defeated Scorpio/The Cobra when Scorpio went to make the "hot tag" to Cobra, but he jumped down off the apron and watched as the Grappler dragged him back across the ring and tagged in Goliath who then gave Scorpio a splash and pinned him…..Once the match was over, Cobra climbed back in the ring and put the boots to Scorpio before leaving ringside with Bruno and company! ============== COMMERCIAL BREAK ============== MATCH #4: Bad News Allen w/Slick pinned Lenny Broadway after a 'Ghetto Blaster' ============== (VTR- The Bullet is livid in the dressing room following his loss to "Adorable" Adrian Adonis that now means he can no longer use his sleeper hold. Bullet says he made a mistake and "underestimated the big marshmallow fatty!" Bullet says that this week, Les Thatcher has granted him a rematch with Sherri Martel barred from ringside and we'll see how tough he is without "Skanky Sherri" interfering in the match!) ============== MATCH #5: The New Breed (Chris Champion/Sean Royal) defeated Bobby/Rocky Ewing when Champion pinned Bobby after a legdrop off the top rope Promo: After the match, Champion/Royal cut a promo saying that this Monday night, they will team with the Nightmares to beat The Desperados and the Dirty White Boy just like they did last week when they apparently ran Ron Bass out of Continental! Royal adds that "it's only appropriate that the tag team of the future be involved in the match of the future, the Skywalkers match! Champion adds, that he hopes that Starr Power learns to fly between now and Christmas because the name of their finishing move will be appropriate now because they will both be….."Falling Starrs!" =============== COMMERCIAL BREAK =============== (As return from the break, a camera is in the dressing room of Robert Fuller, Jimmy Golden, Dutch Mantell, and Buddy Landel) Fuller: "I'm telling you guys, I don't have a good feeling about this Bad News Allen guy, I think he's exactly like his names says…..bad news." Landel: "Robbie, what do you mean baby? He was right on time last week….he saved the day for me against Cooley…and by the way I didn't see ANY of you guys coming to the rescue." Mantell: "Of for God's sake, Landel don't get that started again. I agree with Robert, that guy has a rotten attitude and I would bet you my moustache that if it comes down to it, he has NO loyalty to the Stable whatsoever!" Landel: "What do you mean? Again, he came out and helped ME last week!" Fuller: "That's because he'd rather rassle you for that title when it comes time than have to fight Cooley for the title." Golden: "The bigger question is…..where the hell is Slick at today?" Landel: "He said he had some business to attend to but he'll be there Monday night for the ten man tag match." Mantell: "Which begs another question, Robert. Who in the world is your brother bringing in to be there mystery partner?" Fuller: "Hell if I know! Better question is, why is he being allowed to pick their partner in the first place??" Golden: "What if it's Bad News? What if this whole thing is a swerve?" Landel: "Do you guys hear yourselves? Slick has given us NO REASON to not trust him and if he says I can trust Bad News Allen, then I trust Bad News Allen! Bottom line!" Fuller: "Well big boy, you've got the most to lose so you better hope we can trust him." ============== Charlie Platt runs down the card for Monday night in Montgomery…. Madril has on a black suit with a bolo tie. He stares intensely into the camera for a few moments) Madril: "I want you all to know…..I'm no mood for this. I'm only out here because I'm contractually obligated to do an interview on this television show every other week. Les Thatcher is a bigger scumbag than Bill Watts….if you can even imagine that. You know, I tried to have fun with this….I tried to bring some entertainment to what would just be another stupid southern 'rasslin' show…but you wouldn't let that happen would you? I tried to come out here with a smile on my face and be a good sport about having to interview all these so called wrestlers you have here in Continental but you just couldn't let me do that…..Adrian Street, what I did to you last week was just a sample…..just a little taste of what you have in store the next time I see you. You will pay for humiliating me in the Wargames. You will pay and pay dearly…and when that happens….when I hurt you and make you pay the price for what you did to me….then, and only then may the smile return to my handsome face. As I mentioned, I'm contractually obligated to interview someone….so how about I interview….(dramatically turns and points at Slinker)…..YOU!" Slinker: "Me?" Madril: "Yeah…you." Slinker: "What are you going to ask me?" Madril: "How about I start with….how in the hell do you call yourself a bodyguard?" Slinker: "Excuse me?" Madril: "I'm sorry, Gringo? Is your english comprehension as bad as your bodyguard skills? Let me say it a little slower…..How….do….you….call…..yours.." (Slinker snatches the microphone from Madril) Slinker: "I heard you….I understood you….I meant, what the hell are you talking about?" Madril: "First of all, don't you ever cut me off again….second of all….don't you ever take something out of my hand! What I'm talking about is the fact that you SUCK at your job! I'm talking about the fact you've been hobbling around here like a gimp and you just stood there and watched while I was humiliated by Adrian Street!" Slinker: "It's not my fault you shot your mouth off and then stepped inside of a cage with a sissy boy who then proceeded to make you squeal like a pig. (Crowd cheers) I'm sorry, that you weren't man enough to hang in the Wargames but don't blame your shortcomings on me….Alberto." Madril: "You know, Slink….that's tough talk from a guy who walks with a limp…..but I just have one question for you? What's your favorite Star Trek movie?" Slinker: "What?" (From out of nowhere Killer Khan runs out and spews his green mist in the eyes of Slinker, Madril stomped Slinker's injured foot and Khan nailed Slinker with a big chop to the head that knocks him down! Madril goes over and grabs a steel chair) Madril: "You know what my favorite Star Trek movie is? Wrath of Khan!" (Madril busts out laughing…then starts wailing on Slinker with the chair just like he did Street the week prior, Madril opens up the chair and closes it around Slinker's already injured leg, he then stomps the chair further injuring Slinker's leg/ankle….the camera quickly cuts to Joe Pedicino in the back) =============== Joe Pedicino draws out this week's challenger who turns out to be…..one of the Desperados…."Wild" Bill Irwin! ------------------------- MATCH #6 MAIN EVENT Continental Television Championship Terry Taylor pinned "Wild" Bill Irwin following a "five arm" © 1986 Continental Championship Wrestling

Buzz took the mic and screamed at Johnny, "The Sawyers won't rest until we run ALL the Richs out of wrestling!" REVENGE MATCH The Grappler pinned Scorpio after kicking him in the head with his "loaded boot" when Downtown Bruno came to ringside and distracted the referee momentarily EIGHT MAN TAG TEAM MATCH The Nightmares (Danny Davis/Ken Wayne)/The New Breed (Chris Champion/Sean Royal) defeated The Desperados (Bill Irwin/Killer Brooks/Ron Bass)/"Dirty White Boy" Tony Anthony when Danny Davis pinned Bass with a small package. Bass got into a shoving match with his partners after the match and then walked out on all of them after yelling, "I'm done with all you losers!" RETURN MATCH "World's Strongest Man" Doug Furnas w/Terry Taylor pinned "The Music City Sensation" Billy Joe Travis w/Downtown Bruno with a school boy roll up when Bruno tried to interfere but was cut off by Terry Taylor SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH-LOSER STOPS USING THE SLEEPER "Adorable" Adrian Adonis w/Sherri Martel defeated The Bullet when Sherri sprayed Bullet in the eyes with air freshener allowing Adonis to lock in the "Good Night Irene" sleeper hold and get the win. Due to the match stipulation, The Bullet will be disqualified if uses a sleeper going forward in a CCW sanctioned match BULLWHIP ON A POLE MATCH "Superstar" Bill Dundee defeated "Dirty" Dutch Mantell w/Slick when he climbed the pole and retrieved the bullwhip and whipped Mantell until he fled the ring and got counted out SEMI-MAIN EVENT Continental Tag Team Championship Mr. Olympia/Junkyard Dog defeated Slick's Stable (Robert Fuller/Jimmy Golden) w/Slick by DQ when JYD hit Golden with the 'THUMP' powerslam and went for the pin, Slick ran in and kicked the Dog causing the DQ to save the titles, JYD jumped up and gave Slick the THUMP causing Fuller and Golden to have to carry Slick back to the dressing room MAIN EVENT Continental Heavyweight Championship "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel vs. "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley Landel came to ringside alone. He got on the mic to a chorus of boos from the fans and announced that "due to the unprovoked attack from the lowlife Junkyard Dog, my poor manager Slick is unable to be at ringside for this title defense, so since it's my legal right to have my manager present for ALL title defenses…this match will have to be rescheduled." The fans started to chant "BULLSHIT, BULLSHIT" as Landel looked appalled. Les Thatcher came to ringside and announced that with or without Slick, the advertised title match is happening unless he intends to forfeit the title. Landel says Thatcher is "as bad as that fat idiot Bill Watts!" Thatcher shrugs his shoulders and calls for the bell. The match starts and Landel spends the first few minutes trying to stay away from Cooley, Cooley finally gets his hands on him and they proceed to have a pretty exciting match which after about 15 minutes it looks like Cooley has things going his way……Wendell hits Landel with the 'running bulldog', the fans are all on their feet as the ref counts 1--2---WHAM!! Someone slides in out of nowhere and breaks up the count……it's….BAD NEWS ALLEN!! Bad News takes advantage of the fact that Cooley is worn down from this championship match and he puts a beating on Cooley as Landel rolls out of the ring and smiles as he clutches his title belt and heads for the back. The crowd boos and throws things at Bad News as he exits ringside as Cooley is left laid out in the ring. IS THIS WHO SLICK WAS REFERRING TO AS THE NEW MEMBER OF THE STABLE???
  11. CCW drops Mongolian Stomper and picks up Carl Fergie
  12. The UWF has a ton of potential coming out of the events of Starrcade! I'm super excited for the "Million Dollar Man" and all that he will potentially bring to the show. Butch Reed as the first UWF Champion after the Starrcade screwjob should put the fans in more firmly in his corner than ever! 1987 should be a fun year in this game and I'm looking forward to it!
  13. It's been an interesting couple of weeks and I think the "meltdown" of the NWA has made for some interesting "storyline" outside the regular stories on each show....can't wait to see where the Crockett NWA goes from here!
  14. Great win for the Japanese team to come out on top on the battle royal...Priceless can't be happy with this result... Parsons to me is at his best as a heel, I like where this might be headed! While I've been a fan of the Bruise Brothers here all along, I really want to see where Zbyzsko and Perez can go as a team. Rock & Roll is king and by the looks of the transaction thread, the Fabs are done as a team....for now at least. Hell yeah! There he is....that's the Iceman I was looking for!! Bockwinkel and Garvin was the classic I has hoped for, can't wait to see Bockwinkel get another title shot! Well, Priceless had a good run. I feel like one of the things you do best is knowing how long to run with somebody before moving on. I often cut things short or let things drag on too long but Priceless seemed ready to be wrapped up here. Lawler gets it done and sends Idol outta the AWA! That's what I loved about Lawler when I was a kid, he do whatever needed to be done to get the win! Steamboat retains! But you sure had more worried there...lol Great show! Nobody builds to a supercard like you do!
  15. Dusty had to be kicking himself for not being here to hang and run elbows with Charlie Daniels! Proud to see Embry retain over that CCW turncoat Brad Armstrong! The Andersons somehow managed to retain over The Patriots....this had to be what the kids call these days a "banger" Dibiase turns....into the Million Dollar Man which is awesome! Gordy/Williams end up partners....nice! Superstars retain and somehow manage to have paint under their masks....I bet they are going to DEMOLISH everybody! Intense Wargames....glad to see Sullivan get his shit in on Luger post match. Holy crap, it's the Atlanta Screw job! Poor Bret...I mean Butch. J/k Good stuff as we'll get the best of both worlds a run for Butch with the UWF belt and a Tully Blanchard run with the NWA World title which is the kinda thing this game is all about....as long as Flair doesn't win it with a Finger Poke of Doom on World Wide next week.
  16. The heels dominated the first part of the show with wins for El Jefe, Tatum, and the Blondes which was awesome! Regal gets a nice win over Kajagoogoo! Highwaymen get the better of the Glamour Boys this time! Backlund pulls off the submission wok over Luscious! This won't sit well at all! The Heart Punch of Death strikes again!! Now he'll just have to keep Rollin Rollin Rollin....just kidding but he does seem to be a 'Bad Ass'....an American Bad Ass that is..... Holy crap! Hacksaw is gone! Who in Florida will be able to stop Hercules?? Great stuff!
  17. I really enjoy the Cartel, the hundred dollar bill in Gordon's pocket is fun. I find it amazing you were worried you wasn't going to be able to write for Solie but yet he's become a crucial part of the show that is helping establish the different characters without in anyway making it about him, that's a fine line to walk but you're doing it well with everyone especially the heels. I have to admit I wasn't excited to see a Tom Zenk promo until Hollywood John got involved, lol. Tatum zings him with the "watching cars rust line" before all hell breaks loose. (I'm sure Solie has to hate Gossett for making reference to his drinking which has since been referenced on nearly every show in the game, lol) Another great Luscious promo, I'm so glad you got him back! I'll check back in shortly for the house show
  18. Continental Championship Wrestling TV Previously Recorded/Airing on Saturday November 27, 1986 Host: Charlie Platt Co-Host: Ronnie P. Gossett Ring Announcer: Freddie Miller Interviewer: Joe Pedicino (Show opens with highlights from Thanksgiving Thunder concluding with Dusty Rhodes' team standing in the WARGAMES cage victorious…..we then cut to the opening montage and but instead of going to the desk with Charlie Platt and Ronnie P. Gossett we go straight to CCW Promoter Les Thatcher standing alone in front of the Continental backdrop) Thatcher: "Hello wrestling fans and welcome to Continental Championship Wrestling, we'll get to the program here in just a moment but I'd like to address a couple of issues at the top of the show this week as it pertains to the National Wrestling Alliance and the now former NWA President Bill Watts and this will be the last time I address them here on the show. First of all, just in case it wasn't perfectly clear last week….Continental Championship Wrestling is NO LONGER PART OF THE NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE! We're also certainly not in anyway a part of this Universal Wrestling Federation that Bill Watts has started either. As for the personal comments made by Bill Watts about me pn his show this week and whether or not I planned to pull out of Starrcade ahead of time, I believe I made it very clear last week why we pulled out of Starrcade. Number one, it was poorly planned and executed. Number two, it was clearly all about Mid South and Mid Atlantic….Bill Watts is an ego driven crook who can't live with the fact his time in the ring is over so he tries to find every way possible to make the show about him. As for his and Butch Reed's accusation that I had anything to do with Tully Blanchard becoming NWA World Champion, that's an outright lie and the fact is if it wasn't for me, Butch Reed would have never been World Champion in the first place and that's all I'll say about that publicly but Watts knows that to be true. The next Continental supercard will be CCW Christmas Clash '86 on Christmas day at the Civic Center in Rome, Georgia headlined by a Chain Match for the Southeastern Championship that will see Bruiser Brody defend against 'the American Dream' Dusty Rhodes and in another feature match, It will be a 'SKYWALKERS Scaffold Match' as the New Breed will take on Starr Power and there will be no where to run for Lance and Mark Starr when they have to face the New Breed twenty feet above the ring and the only way to win is to throw your opponent off the scaffold! More matches will be announced soon and we'll be taking a short break after the Christmas show and we'll return to action on Saturday January 8th, 1987 with a huge announcement on who we'll be doing business with now that we've cut ties with the NWA and the UWF. Thank you for allowing me to clear the air, and now let's go to our hosts and get to some real wrestling action!" (We now cut to the desk and join Charlie Platt and Ronnie P. Gossett) Platt: "Hello wrestling fans and welcome once again to Continental Championship Wrestling and between everything that took place at Thanksgiving Thunder, as well as the goings on in the NWA that Les Thatcher just spoke of, it's been an eventful week, Ronnie P. Gossett." RPG: "All I can say is thank God and good riddance! Bill Watts is a self absorbed bully who ran things like a dictator and Jim Crockett has all the business sense of an eight year old running a lemonade stand after school. I predict they'll both be out of business in the next three years." Platt: "Well enough about Bill Watts and the NWA, that’s in the past and Continental Championship Wrestling is moving forward! We have a great show this week, we'll see the Bullet in action here in a few moments, 'Exotic' Adrian Street will have Chicky Starr as his guest in the 'Exotic Garden a little later on and based on what took place in the Wargames, I'm sure Mr. Starr has a lot to say." RPG: "I'm sure he does and rightfully so! We'll see the Mighty Goliath in action as well the Continental Champion, the only champion in wrestling that matters these days, of course I'm referring to the ONE AND ONLY 'Nature Boy' Buddy Landel!" Platt: "The new number one contenders to the Continental Tag Team titles Mr. Olympia and the Junkyard Dog will be in action, plus as always the Continental Television Championship will be defended by Terry Taylor against whomever gets drawn out this week." RPG: "I'm not really a big fan of Terry Taylor, but I have to admit he's taken on a new challenger each week for several weeks now and no one has been able to take that TV title from him." Platt: "They certainly have not and I'll be interested to see who's name gets drawn out to challenge for the title this week. Right now, let's go to the ring to see a man that I know is quite pleased with himself…..The Bullet, who ran Tommy Rich right out of the territory." RPG: "Why did you have to mention that, Platt?? With all this good news about being rid of Bill Watts, then you had to ruin my mood by mentioning how poor Tommy Rich go railroaded and ran out of town." Platt: "Poor Tommy Rich?? If you wanna say 'good riddance' to anybody….it should be Tommy Rich! Let's go to the ring." ========================= MATCH #1: The Bullet defeated Pat Rose with a sleeper hold (Bullet grabs a microphone at ringside) Bullet: "Fans….can I get a 'Hallelujah', ding dong Tommy Rich is gone!!!" Before the Bullet can say anything else, 'Do ya think I'm sexy' by Rod Stewart plays as "Adorable" Adrian Adonis makes his way to ringside, he's wearing red pleather pants, a black sleeveless shirt that has 'Heart Throb' written across it in big red letters and a red leather hat with black sunglasses and fingerless black gloves accompanied by Sherri Martel. Martel takes the microphone from ring announcer Freddie Miller. Martel: "Excuse our interruption, Mr. Armstrong…..but 'Adorable' Adrian has an issue he needs to address with you." Bullet: "First of all, Missy….it's Bullet, my name is not Armstrong and second of all, he just got here, what in the world could 'Deplorable' Adrian need to talk to me about?" Adonis: "That's 'ADORABLE' Adrian, for obvious reasons! You know, I had forgotten just what a sexy hunk of man meat I really am before Sherri helped me see the light and sent me somewhere to remind me that I'm not just about sex appeal which I clearly have plenty of, I'm also the best wrestler to ever lace up a pair of boots." Bullet: (shaking his head) "She clearly sent you somewhere to be brainwashed, but before I vomit from listening to you describe yourself anymore…..what's your beef with the Bullet?" Adonis: "My 'beef' is the fact that I just saw you out here using MY hold….the sleeper…..or as I have always called it, 'Good Night Irene'. That's MY hold, no one does it as well as I do and I would kindly request you stop using it, effective….RIGHT NOW!" Bullet: "Hold up fat boy…..nobody owns a hold. I've been using that sleeper for years and more effectively than most and I don't appreciate you coming out here trying to tell me what holds I can use or not use." Martel: "First off….BOB! There's no need for name calling and insults. Adrian said he 'KINDLY' requests you stop using it. Bear in mind, this will be the only time that he will kindly request it…..if he has to tell you again, there won't be anything kind about it! Oh and on more thing, tell your stupid kid….the skinny one that stayed, not the one that quit that when Tom Prichard returns in two weeks from his tour of Japan, he better not still be here!" Bullet: "Listen here you Hussy…." Before Bullet can finish that thought Adrian blasts with a stiff forearm to the back of the head and locks in the 'Goodnight Irene'…….Bullet is almost out as security and officials run in to break things up. Platt: "Fans, let's go to break while we good ordered restored, we'll be right back!" ========================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ========================== MATCH #2: Handicap Match The Mighty Goliath w/Downtown Bruno defeated Jackie Daytona/Arthur Mitchell after Goliath gave them a double avalanche in the corner and then pinned them both! Post match: Downtown Bruno tells Joe Pedicino that this Monday night in Biloxi, Mississippi the Mighty Goliath will face Bugsy McGraw and "that muscle headed idiot" Doug Furnas has made the huge mistake of demanding a rematch with Billy Joe Travis, Bruno promises that Travis will beat Furnas just like last week! Pedicino informs Bruno that Terry Taylor who successfully defended the TV title against Furnas a couple of weeks back has taken an interest in Furnas, and has gotten a manager's license and will be in Furnas' corner for all his upcoming matches, including this Monday in Biloxi! Bruno is beside himself as he and Goliath storm off. ========================== (VTR- Slick's Stable are in the locker room after Thanksgiving Thunder and none to happy about Wendell Cooley coming to the aid of Bill Dundee after Dutch interfered to save Buddy's CCW title earlier that night) Landel: "Who in the hell does Wendell Cooley think he is sticking his nose in the Stable's business?!?!" Mantell: "I'm sure that little shrimp, Dundee went to him before the match and asked him to interfere, it's just like a little sawed off Aussie to be that kind of a coward!" Golden: "Didn't he come in AFTER Dutch ran in?" Landel: "Whose side are you on Golden?" Fuller: "Now hold on just a minute, Buddy…..don't go getting hot about it! My cousin just asked a legitimate question!" Landel: "Don't tell me what to do, Fuller! I'm the champion, I'll get hot at whoever I want to!" Fuller: (holding up his tag title belt) "You ain't the only champ in the Stable, boy!" Slick: "Now now…fellas….ain't no need for ANYBODY to get heated. The Slickster has always got a plan….I'm going to call a friend, who is going to watch everybody's back and with him around….you won't have to worry about Cooley….Dundee….or nobody else!" Landel: "And who might that be?" Slick: "Oh, you'll see when he gets here…..you guys are going to love this guy! He's perfect Slick Stable material!" Fuller: (looking concerned) "So….he's somebody who will……(clears his throat) fit in…so to speak?" Slick: "Brutha, he'll do more than fit in, he'll help lead us to the promised land!" Landel: "I don't care who he is…..if he helps deal with idiots like Cooley and Dundee, I'm good with him." Slick: "Well, not only do we have to deal with Cooley and Dundee…..Thatcher said since Watts screwed Olympia and JYD out of their tag team title match they earned by winning that battle royal, he's awarding them a match next week against you guys for the Continental tag titles." Fuller: "WHAT?? We just beat THREE other teams tonight and we have to defend the belts again next week?? Slickster, why are you letting this happen??" Slick: "That's what I'm saying, Stud…..it's handled brutha. Trust me! Have I let you down yet?" Golden: "He's got a point Robert, so far…..he's always delivered." Fuller: (nods in agreement) "You're right Cuz, I'm sure whoever this new Stable member turns out to be, he'll help us handle it." Slick: (all smiles patting Fuller on the back) "Now you're talking Tennessee Stud….just trust me. I get things done!" (END VTR) ========================= Commercial for CCW Christmas Clash '86 coming to Rome Georgia on Christmas Day, tickets on sale now! ========================= MATCH #3: Mr. Olympia/Junkyard Dog defeated Sammy Hall/Memphis Monroe when JYD pinned Hall with his 'THUMP' powerslam Pedicino tried to get a word with the JYD and Olympia after the match but they just marched right past him. ========================= Platt runs down the card for this Monday night in Biloxi: Continental Championship Wrestling Mississippi Coast Coliseum Biloxi, MS. Monday November 29, 1986 Bell Time: 8pm MAIN EVENT Continental Heavyweight Championship "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel w/Slick vs. "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley SEMI-MAIN EVENT Continental Tag Team Championship Slick's Stable (Robert Fuller/Jimmy Golden) w/Slick vs. Mr. Olympia/Junkyard Dog BULLWHIP ON A POLE MATCH "Superstar" Bill Dundee vs. "Dirty" Dutch Mantell w/Slick SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH-LOSER STOPS USING THE SLEEPER The Bullet vs. "Adorable" Adrian Adonis w/Sherri Martel RETURN MATCH "World's Strongest Man" Doug Furnas w/Terry Taylor vs. "The Music City Sensation" Billy Joe Travis w/Downtown Bruno EIGHT MAN TAG TEAM MATCH The Nightmares (Danny Davis/Ken Wayne) The New Breed (Chris Champion/Sean Royal) vs. The Desperados (Bill Irwin/Killer Brooks/Ron Bass) "Dirty White Boy" Tony Anthony REVENGE MATCH Scorpio vs. The Grappler Johnny/Davey Rich vs. Starr Power (Lance/Mark Starr) w/Sherri Martel Bugsy McGraw vs. The Mighty Goliath w/Downtown Bruno ========================== MATCH #4: Continental Heavyweight Champion "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel w/Slick pinned Mitch Snow following a 'corkscrew elbow drop' As they're leaving, Landel and Slick approach the desk. Platt: "Didn't we already hear from you guys in the pre-recorded comments from last Monday night?" RPG: "Don't mind him, Champ! Glad to have you up here." Landel: "Thanks Ronnie, at least you know how to show a champion some respect, unlike Charlie Flatt over here, the most boring announcer this side of Bob Caudle. We might need to get you back on the sauce, Charlie…..maybe head down to Florida and hang out with 'Mr. Happy Hour' himself Gordon Solie, you are sucking the life out of this show lately. Speaking of sucking, thank the good lord that we no longer have to take orders from that big bald blowhard, Bill Watts. What a goof that guy is! Butch Reed gets beat by Tully Blanchard and loses the NWA World Title in record time, so Watts just creates a new belt for him so he doesn't file a discrimination lawsuit or call Jesse Jackson. Butch Reed knows damn well he doesn't want none of me and never has, so he can take his fake belt and be the champion of Bill Watts' new Untalented Wrestling Federation or whatever he's calling it." RPG: "Champ, we haven't had enough of you on the show lately, I'm so glad you came up here…..you tell it like it is!" Landel: "Damn right I do and Ronnie, I'm sorry we fell out for a few months but I'm glad we're back friends again and I appreciate the gifts you sent me and I want everyone to know the hatchet is completely buried and we're back on good terms. As for Butch Reed, Tully Blanchard, and any other wannabe champion in the wrestling business today….I don't care who you are or where you wrestle, you're all second rate compared to 'Nature Boy' Buddy Landel and I'll show you why once again this Monday night when I beat Wendell Cooley and retain my title just like I have every time I've wrestled in the past few months." Slick: "That's right, Wendell Cooley thinks he's going to take your title? Well, I got some real bad news for Wendell Cooley….this title is going to stay around Buddy Landel's waist for as long as he wants it to! Come on, Naitch….we've got some ladies waiting in the limo." Landel: "Well, you heard it guys….time to go make some young ladies' night." RPG: "Save one for me, Champ!' Platt: (looking disgusted) "On that note, let's head over to the 'Exotic Garden' with our host, Adrian Street." ========================== (The camera pans over to a small stage with a cactus on each corner of the stage with a pink sombrero on top of each along with pink boas, a large pink pinata is hanging down right over the middle of the set, with two pink director's chairs arranged in the middle with a large banner on the wall behind them that reads 'EXOTIC GARDEN', we then cut to a smiling Adrian Street as his song "I'm in love with me" plays in the background) Street: "Hello again darlings, it's time for everyone's favorite wrestling talk show…'the Exotic Garden', brought to you by 'Shake Wrestle and Roll' the album by yours truly . Of course I'm your host with the most 'Exotic' Adrian Street and of course we couldn't do the show without the lovely, vivacious, and 'most dangerous valet in the professional wrestling', Ms. Linda!" (Linda as always is wearing a pink karate Gi while trying to look as intimidating as possible) Street: "Say hello Linda." Linda: "Ello Linda." Street: "That my lady was almost as enjoyable as making Al Madril submit and cost his team the Wargames on Thanksgiving." Linda: "He squealed like a bloody pig, he did." Street: "I know, I hear people are calling Madril, 'Ned Beatty' cause I made him squeal like that bloke in that movie Deliverance." Linda: "I was bloody embarrassed for him, he was crying for his Mum and all that. He was blubbering like a newborn." Street: "He was, it was a ludicrous display on his part. Speaking of ludicrous, let's welcome out the man who made the poor decision to put Alvin Madril on his Wargames team, let's bring out right Cheeky Starr." (Chicky Starr accompanied by Teijho Khan comes out looking beyond annoyed) Street: "Welcome to the Exotic Garden, Cheeky…and your mate as well." Starr: "It's CHICKY Starr!" Street: "That's what I said." Starr: "No, you said Cheeky." Street: "No, it seems that's what you're being about it, but I said your name, Cheeky Star." Starr: "Look Cabron, I don't have time for any foolishness. Why am I out here?" Street: "I just thought you might want to talk about the loss the Starr Corporation suffered in the Wargames and tell everyone what your plans are now." Starr: (trying to calm himself down) "I know you think you are real funny….but you listen to me perro! Brody, Abdullah, and myself are going back to Puerto Rico for a few weeks to get our minds right and when we come back, Brody will destroy Dusty Rhodes in that Chain Match on Christmas night! As for you and the fact you made Al Madril submit, costing us the match….well, that's another story!" Teijho Khan pulls something out of his pocket and sprays it into Adrian's eyes…..from behind the set, Madril runs in and hits Street over the head with a steel chair, Linda runs over to try to stop him but Khan shoves her to the ground, Madril then hits Street several more times across the back, and then one more crowning blow to the head, Madril and Chicky both spit on Adrian as they walk away, Starr looks right into the camera and says, "It's CHICKY Starr, pendejo!" The camera pans back over to Linda asking Street if he's ok as his head is gushing blood….fade to black =========================== COMMERCIAL BREAK =========================== MATCH #5: Scorpio pinned Dusty Wolfe with a moonsault off the top rope =========================== (We cut to the interview area where Joe Pedicino draws out tonight's challenger for the Television Championship) Pedicino: "Tonight's challenger will be……"Dirty" Dutch Mantell! ------------------------------------------- MATCH #6: MAIN EVENT Continental Television Championship "Dirty" Dutch Mantell w/Slick defeated Terry Taylor by DQ when just a couple of minutes into the match, Bill Dundee came running into the ring with a bullwhip of his own and managed to get a couple of cracks in on Dutch before Mantell and Slick quickly exited the arena. Taylor shoved Dundee asking him, "what the hell are you doing interfering in my match?" The two nearly came to blows until Doug Furnas ran down and got between them and seemed to be defusing the situation as the show the went off the air. © 1986 Continental Championship Wrestling
  19. Continental Championship Wrestling presents Thanksgiving THUNDER '86 Boutwell Auditorium Thursday November 25, 1986 Bell Time: 5pm Scorpio pinned The Grappler with a sunset flip off the top rope in a huge upset! To the surprise of everyone, the Grappler offered Scorpio a handshake afterwards then raised his hand, to the surprise of no one, he then short arm clotheslined Scorpio and put the boots to him before storming out "The Music City Sensation" Billy Travis w/Downtown Bruno pinned "World's Strongest Man" Doug Furnas with a school boy roll up with a handful of tights U.S. Jr. Heavyweight Championship Tom Prichard w/Sherri Martel wrestled Scott Armstrong to a 20 minute time limit draw TAG TEAM CHALLENGE MATCH The New Breed (Champion/Royal) defeated Starr Power (Lance/Mark) w/Sherri Martel by count out when Martel gathered them up and left ringside as Champion and Royal were getting the best of them…..the crowd boo'd them heavily and chanted "cowards" as they left "Adorable" Adrian Adonis w/Sherri Martel pinned Bugsy McGraw with his feet on the ropes REMATCH-NO DQ/NO COUNT OUT "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley pinned Leatherface following a running bulldog in a hard hitting brawl Bullet's Mask vs. Rich leaving CCW The Bullet vs. Tommy 'Wildfire' Rich Before the match started, Rich took the microphone and said…"You know BOB, I heard your boy Brad is over in Atlanta right now wrestling for Plowboy Bill Watts because he knows good and damn well that when I beat you and take that stupid mask off you and show everyone that your Bob Armstrong….he won't have his daddy here to protect so he went ahead and left and hopefully when I beat you, Watts will give you a job too!"………..the referee handed the microphone to the Bullet: "How bout for once you shut your mouth and fight somebody!" (Crowd pops) The match goes about 12 minutes back and forth before Rich's new buddy, The Grappler runs down to ringside and tries to interfere, but he's cut off by Scorpio which allows the Bullet to lock a sleeper hold on Rich who fights it but eventually fades away and his arm drops three times signifying the END of Tommy Rich's reign of terror in CCW! Continental Tag Team Championship FOUR CORNERS MATCH- First team to score a pinfall wins Robert Fuller/Jimmy Golden w/Slick vs. The Nightmares (Davis/Wayne) vs. The Desperados (Ron Bass/Bill Irwin) w/Killer Brooks vs. Johnny/Davey Rich Fuller/Golden retained the titles when Golden pinned Davey Rich after he was tripped by Slick as he hit the ropes SEMI-MAIN EVENT Continental Heavyweight Championship "Superstar" Bill Dundee defeated "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel w/Slick by DQ when Dundee hit the 'Bombs Away' splash from the top rope and looked to have the title won, but Dutch Mantell hit the ring and attacked Dundee with his bullwhip, 'Shoobaby'! Landel/Mantell double teamed Dundee for a moment until Wendell Cooley hit the ring to make the save!! MAIN EVENT THE WARGAMES: The Match Beyond! TWO RINGS SURROUNDED BY A STEEL CAGE WITH A ROOF! The match can only end once all ten men are in the ring and then it's submission or surrender!! 5 on 5 "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes Junkyard Dog Mr. Olympia Terry Taylor "Exotic" Adrian Street w/Ms. Linda vs. Bruiser Brody Abdullah the Butcher Killer Khan "The Great" Al Madril Chicky Starr The initial five minute period started with recent enemies Adrian Street and Al Madril entering the cage with Street getting the better of Madril for the majority of that time until the coin toss that saw the Starr Corporation win with 'heads' which allowed Chicky Starr to come in for the 2 on 1 advantage! After two minutes of two on one action against Street, Terry Taylor came in to even up the odds. Street manages to grind Madril's face into the cage opening up his forehead into a bloody mess. After another two minutes passes, Killer Khan enters the fray and goes after Street with a big 'Mongolian' chop! He rams Taylor into the cage opening him up as well. The three on two advantage allows the Starr Corporation to regain control….until…..THE DREAM enters the cage! It's bionic elbows for all three members of the Starr Corporation as the Dream comes in hot and gets 'funky like a monkey' on all the bad guys. Unfortunately it's short lived as the two minutes winds down the next man to enter the cage is…..BRUISER BRODY and he comes in and nails Rhodes/Street/Taylor with big boots to the face before straddling Dusty and just raining down punches that bust the Dream wide open!! After the longest two minutes in history, Mr. Olympia comes in to even things up but Brody still manages to get the better of him with a big boot to his face but a bloodied Dusty Rhodes comes from behind and gives Brody a low blow that drops him to his knees, Rhodes takes advantage and drills Brody with him punches that draws blood from the big man as well, however the two minutes is up which brings in Abdullah the Butcher who immediately pulls out his fork and blasts Dusty in the forehead with it! Abby then turns his attention to Mr. Olympia…..Abby uses the fork to rip the mask and cut open the forehead of Olympia as well. Terry Taylor has Madril locked in a figure four leglock as Street stretches Chicky Starr! Brody gives Rhodes a jumping piledriver! Now, it's time for the final entry….the Junkyard Dog makes his way into WARGAMES and the Match Beyond has officially begun!! JYD gives Killer Khan the 'THUMP' powerslam! The five on five brawl goes on for several minutes until Adrian Street locks Al Madril in a 'Boston Crab' which leads to a submission! Team Rhodes wins!!!
  20. Barry Windham takes the gold! I love it!
  21. Leave it to the King to raise the stakes in an already huge match! As it's been said, there is no one better in this game than you are at building characters and giving everyone something to do with a meaningful match on these supercards. I honestly would have never believed you could make me interested in a Don Kernodle/Iceman Parsons match but here we are and I'm looking forward to it! I still say Ronnie Garvin vs. Nick Bockwinkel is a sleeper match that could steal the show! I'm on the edge of my seat wondering who will come out on top between the Fabs/Rock & Roll Express! SuperClash is going to be amazing, some very solid cards coming up this week/weekend.
  22. Solid card for Starrcade (aside from the World Tag Title Match lol) Gordy vs. Nikita should be worth the ticket price alone! Dibiase/Gordy vs. The Superstars should be exciting as well. Tully is a perfect first big time challenge for Butch Reed, he should come out looking like a million bucks.
  23. Strong lead in for Starrcade! The Commonwealth manage to retain against the Midnight Rockers! Looks like you've gotten everyone's attention with Harley's victory over Flair for the Mid Atlantic title, it really sets the tone that anything can happen and makes the show appointment television each week, nice job!
  24. The Blondes continue to steal the show this week with another hilarious promo! From always claiming a conspiracy to the Solmeister nickname to "rummaging" around in this trunks to referring to Solie and his "illuminati" buddies, these guys are so entertaining! Rogers turning into Ward Cleaver with an "I'm not mad, I'm disappointed" was a nice touch as well, lol. Regal is fired up and looking for some revenge! Strong card so far for next weekend! Luscious Lanny styling and profiling while scouting Backlund. YES, there's that crazy son of a bitch I was looking for! I always enjoy your portrayal of Bob Backlund. Duggan gets the General's attention with a 2x4 to the back! However it may have backfired if he can't win the title from Big Herc! Great show, as Spaldoni said you've managed to get some compelling stories going in no time at all!
