Some of the booking in this match was absolutely cringeworthy & Reigns looked very comedic w/ that color on, but yeah, I still enjoyed this a lot. Very violent w/ Brock absolutely destroying Reigns for the most of it & I ALWAYS enjoy watching Brock beat people up. ***1/2

Stephanie McMahon having a better match at WM than Shinsuke Nakamura & AJ fucking Styles. What a world. Yeah. This is super boring so far. The finishing stretch will be very good though.

Really not feeling this at all. They're gonna have a good finishing stretch for sure, but so far it's been very disappointing.

UNREAL ovation for Bryan; very emotional seeing him walk down that ramp w/ his wrestling gear on once again. The match quality is very much boosted by the story behind his comeback - it's fairly simple in structure w/ KO & Zayn attacking Bryan before the bell rings, leaving him laying for quite a while, which means Shane had to fight alone while Bryan recovered. I thought Shane's FIP segment was really good - both KO & Zayn, especially Zayn, were really good working the heat on him & mocking him all the way while doing it. Shane's selling of his injury was pretty damn good. Maybe it's that magic of Bryan's comeback & it being WrestleMania and all, but I thought Shane's performance was ON POINT. This is the first time since his return in 2016 that he hasn't annoyed me much, because he didn't do that faux-MMA stuff of his; he felt like an untrained street fighting GM just busting out wild strikes to try & fight. And holy shit when Bryan came out to break that pin & finally Shane got to tag him to the ring - fireworks. Absolute fireworks. Him running through all of his signature moves was lovely & Zayn was absolutely wonderful bumping & selling his ass off for him. For one moment, right now, everything is right & beautiful in the world; the greatest wrestler in the world is back. And he is back with a bang. ****

When the build to this match started, my biggest fear was that it would be a 30 minute DRAMATIC™ finisher nearfall -fest forced epic, but MY GOODNESS it wasn't anything like that! The whole angle building to it with Cena on the crowd, coming out to thinking he'll face Taker, Elias coming out, Cena destroying Elias etc was tremendous & once Taker's theme finally hit, Cena sold that tremendously. He had already accepted that Taker wasn't gonna show up, and because of that he wasn't ready at all for the match - that was the story of this under 3-minute sprint squash; Cena wasn't ready for Taker & Taker just absolutely wrecked him. Awesome angle, awesome match. ***3/4

Ronda & Angle vs. HHH & Steph is one of the best Mania matches of all-time, was losing my mind for it. What a damn spectacle!!!!

THIS WAS AN ABSOLUTE HOOT. Other than a few comedic moments where Steph managed to defend an Armbar from Ronda, this was so brilliantly put together. GREAT FIP segment w/ Angle - I knew this was gonna be all about HHH keeping him away from tagging to Ronda as long as he could & it was very enjoyable to watch. HHH was very good working the heat on him, and when it was time for Angle to get some offense in, HHH was bumping & selling like he was fucking Ric Flair or something. Steph cutting Ronda off before she could tag in a few times was awesome & when she FINALLY got that hot tag, HOLY SHIT. WHAT A DAMN HOT TAG IT WAS. Ronda's meanface is absolutely incredible & her throwing Steph around was so, so, SO enjoyable. Her beating the SHIT out of HHH was amazing & HHH's selling of it was also amazing. The whole finishing stretch w/ the crowd going crazy, nobody caring about rules anymore PWG style was absolutely INCREDIBLE. WHAT A DAMN SPECTACLE. ****1/2

Loved this. Big match feel right from the entrances - both women showed lots of swagger & charisma; loved Asuka’s work over Charlotte - her offense was even more violent than usual, those Shibata -esq kicks to the head were amazing as well as those brutal stomps to the back. ***3/4
