  1. Can't help but think that somehow, Badd Company will be the ones to dethrone Buddy Rose & Doug Somers.
  2. Man, the North American title tournament will be stacked. Really got no clue who's gonna come out on top but I definitely wouldn't discount Terry Funk!
  3. I'll gladly take that as a compliment. I always take it as a challenge when I decide to bring those types of wrestlers because I know I have the type of workers on my roster who can maximize their use for me. I wouldn't have chosen to bring Botswana Beast & Lord Humongous from the AWA if I didn't have The Creatchman Family in tow.
  4. December 14th, 1985 Edmonton, AB -Chris Benoit beat Gilles "The Fish" Poisson in 16:18 -The Creatchman Family (The Great Samu & Botswana Beast, w/Eddy & Floyd Creatchman) beat The Sensationals (Bobby Jaggers & Bob Orton, w/Sherri Martel) in 18:46 -Boris Zhukov beat NWA World Tag Team Champion Lord Humongous in 22:12 -Richard "Le Magnifique" Charland beat Bob Backlund in 12:08 -Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen beat Mad Dog Lefebvre & Frenchy Martin in 9:12 Texas Death Match: Prince Alofa Fatu beat Baron Von Raschke in 6:18 WCCW World Heavyweight Championship: Rick Martel beat Shawn Michaels in 54:59 to retain
  5. NWA Lutte Internationale TV Taped at CHLT-TV Studios, Sherbrooke, QC Broadcasted December 14th, 1985 -The broadcast team welcomes everyone to the show as they hype this week's show with the main event featuring Jacques Rougeau vs Billy Robinson inside of a cage. Also in the broadcast, comments from Ric Flair and Rick Martel about Starrcade as well as Black Bart for his match with Jacques Rougeau, also inside a cage. -To kick off this week's show, Raymond Rougeau takes on "Maniac" Matt Borne. The broadcast team says that Raymond will be in the corner of his brother Jacques in Quebec City while Matt Borne will be in Greensboro for the 2-ring Battle Royal. Borne is up to his dirty tricks early in the match but Raymond is able to counter Borne at every turn. At the end of the match, Borne attempts to zap Raymond while referee Adrien Desbois' back is turned after an accidental elbow but Raymond hits his Savate Kick to score the victory after a solid 10-minute match. -To fill the rest of the show before the main event, the match between Black Bart and Jacques Rougeau at the Sportatorium is shown in its entirety, including the moment where a rag full of ether takes down Jacques, allowing Bart to score the victory and take the title. After the match, a promo from Black Bart is shown where he says he will humiliate Rougeau in his backyard in Quebec City and that the only reason there'll be a cage is because the people of Quebec City are scared that he'll beat them all up afterwards. Bart says that once he's finished with him, Jacques and his brother Raymond won't dare show their faces anywhere. -There is also talk about the main event from Starrcade being moved from Greensboro to Quebec City after Quebec City won the bidding to host the main event. Ric Flair is first to talk saying that everything seems to be arranged for Rick Martel to unify both titles but it doesn't matter because he is the man and Martel isn't. Flair says he's coming to Quebec City to prove that he's the best wrestler alive today and they will party all night long afterwards at Château Frontenac, where he'll be staying for a few days. Later, Martel says that contrarily to Flair, he doesn't think that anything has been arranged for him. He earned everything the old fashioned way. He went to Dallas and beat Harley Race for the WCCW World Heavyweight Championship and he plans on unifying this title and the NWA World Heavyweight Championship at Starrcade. Doing it in his hometown will just make things a bit sweeter. Martel says that Flair hasn't forgotten that he's the only man to have beaten him during the Great American Bash Tour and it's eating him alive. He won't leave any doubt at Starrcade that he can beat The Man. -Finally, main event time as Jacques Rougeau squares off against Billy Robinson inside the cage. The cage is there to ensure no interference whatsoever from any party. Robinson has Sherri Martel at ringside and the broadcast team discuss the rumors of Sherri focusing on becoming the NWA World Women's Champion after Starrcade. Madusa is confirmed to be challenging The Fabulous Moolah at Starrcade for the title. A lengthy affair until TV time remains. As expected, The Sensationals made their presence felt roaming around the cage but all of a sudden, everything is stopped to a halt outside as The Masked Playboy shows up again, flowers in hand! Robinson screams Buddy Rose's name and both Bobby Jaggers and Bob Orton are chasing The Masked Playboy to the back but Robinson is so caught up in the whole thing that he forgets about Jacques Rougeau! Jacques is able to escape the cage through the door in perhaps a prelude to his title match vs Black Bart at Starrcade. Billy Robinson, irate, escapes the cage as well and goes to the broadcast booth, saying he's had enough of Buddy Rose and they're gonna end this once and for all. But this won't be a regular match as Billy has so much pent-up frustration that he wants to punish Buddy Rose. Therefore, Robinson challenges Buddy to a Texas Death Match at Starrcade! Will Buddy Rose accept? À LA SEMAINE PROCHAINE SI DIEU LE VEUT!
  6. The Brain just doesn't care. He wants people to know that kind of stuff.
  7. The pairing of Jake Roberts & Nord the Barbarian will be so much fun to watch evolve.
  8. I'm assuming that they're gonna more than likely pair some real-life couples in the tournament like Rusev/Lana and Naomi/Jimmy Uso. And I'd be stunned if Enzo Amore & Nia Jax weren't paired together given the angle that started last week. Other than that, I'm also intrigued to see who's gonna win it. I saw that Braun Strowman is in the tournament. Could you imagine a team of Braun & Asuka?
  9. December 13th, 1985 Ottawa, ON -Abdullah the Butcher beat Richard "Le Magnifique" Charland (w/Frenchy Martin) in 9:41 -Prince Alofa Fatu (w/Floyd Creatchman) beat "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal in 13:41 10-Men Elimination Tag Team Match: NWA World Tag Team Champions The Creatchman Family (Botswana Beast & Lord Humongous), Killer Tim Brooks & The Moondogs beat Bob Backlund, WCCW World Heavyweight Champion Rick Martel, Ivan Putski, Jos LeDuc & Hillbilly Jim in 53:20. Botswana Beast & Lord Humongous were the sole survivors for their team, double-teaming Rick Martel after a sneak attack from The Great Samu. Eddy Creatchman gave some money at ringside to Samu afterwards, and it seems like it was another command from Ric Flair. Interesting, considering that Beast & Humongous are defending their titles against the Andersons at Starrcade...
  10. Very intrigued with Jake Roberts' debut in the AWA. Gonna be interesting to tread into uncharted waters as most of us had never envisioned Jake to be in the AWA.
  11. Yeah, just do like Gordi said: list them as SM II & SM III
  12. Lutte Internationale release Strong Machine #2 & Strong Machine #3.
  13. Awesome. I'll keep you posted on that.
  14. Yes, I'll take care of the freelancers for 1986. I'm also wondering if we should have a booking thread for the NWA World Champion & World Tag Team Champs like we used to. I was under the thought that despite not being affiliated with the NWA, other territories (aka you, rain & Kevin as well as if other territories join throughout the year) would join. I'll also keep tabs with the minis & the women as well.
  15. Pretty satisfied with my draft as well. I'll be able to do one very fun storyline to kick off 1986!
  16. Ivan Putski on the trading block for Lutte.
  17. I'm stunned that no "Can he handle jail?" jokes haven't been made yet.
  18. Sorry for the delay. Lutte picks Jerry Sags
  19. Lutte selects Paul Heyman. World Class is up!
  20. GAAAAAH, rain, I hate you for picking Doug Furnas! All joking aside, pretty hopeful my master plan can come to fruition anyway!
  21. Lutte selects Adrian Adonis. AWA is on the clock.
  22. EDIT: LowBlow just addressed this. Nothing to see here lol
  23. Thus far, some logical choices through the board. Got a couple options myself so don't know exactly where I'll go.
  24. I just stumbled upon this but I'm absolutely fine with whatever happens. Deaths should be the only finality here. Incidents like prison & such can be thrown out of the window if necessary.
  25. He's all yours!
