  1. You don't necessarily need to bulk up your roster because you feel like you need to match everyone else. I personally am more comfortable working with a 40-man roster so when I need to freshen things up, I just switch bodies around with other territories to bring new blood. But it's really up to how big of a roster you're comfortable with.
  2. Another rock solid show. The Desperados are picking up steam heading into Starrcade and so are a lot of people!
  3. No worries, you're getting started. It's perfectly normal to take some time before you find your stride. Along the way, you're gonna find the exact format. Another thing that LowBlow probably didn't have time to mention: for squash matches, if you want to, you can use random jobbers (name generators are pretty useful lol) rather than jobber packs. It frees up roster space if you want to add more talent on your roster. But it's up to you, do as you feel comfortable with.
  4. Fine with me as well.
  5. Very excited that World Class has officially joined the NWA. We're gonna have a BLAST in 1986!
  6. Effective January 1st, 1986, Lutte Internationale sends Alexis Smirnoff, Boris Zhukov, Baron Von Raschke, Bob Backlund and Billy Robinson to Mid-Atlantic in exchange or Bruce Hart, Keith Hart, Owen Hart, Mad Dog Vachon & Butcher Vachon.
  7. In that case, this changes things a bit. Maybe that with the Fresh Faces draft starting this weekend, this can open up your options and some will be looking to inquire about some of your draft picks. That's an option I could admittedly consider myself, depending on who goes where.
  8. Like Derek said, no one wants you to quit. If that's the impression you got, we apologize. We're all digging your work and we're mostly looking out for spaldoni who's new in the Project and still trying to grasp everything going on. Keep in mind that he's picked up a key territory in the game and while we all know that you didn't ever mean to rob him of anything, I understand why he reacted this way. If you need a few days to cool off and recharge your batteries while going along with the draft, do so. We're just hoping that you'll stick around.
  9. I can't help but think that eventually, Gino & Rude will butt heads over ego. But King Kong Bundy back in the Heenan Family is a huge boost!
  10. I'm also fine with Sunday!

  13. NWA Lutte Internationale TV Taped at CHLT-TV Studios, Sherbrooke, QC Broadcasted December 7th, 1985 -The broadcast team started the show by hyping Rick Martel capturing the WCCW World Heavyweight Championship last week in Dallas by beating Harley Race. Martel is now headed to Starrcade to face Ric Flair for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and rumors are swirling that this could even be a Unification Match but no confirmation of this yet. There is also speculation that Quebec City might host the Martel vs Flair title match at Starrcade but the announcement should be made official next week. -In the opening match, Prince Alofa Fatu destroyed Glanville Simon in about 90 seconds with a top rope Samoan Splash. After the match, The Great Samu joined Fatu & Floyd Creatchman at the broadcast booth for an interview. Floyd says there is a lot of hype about Starrcade and while he's confident that Botswana Beast & Lord Humongous will retain the NWA World Tag Team Titles in Greensboro against Ole & Arn Anderson, he's offended that Samu & Fatu aren't in the NWA Canadian International Tag Team Championship Match and that Frank Valois preferred to bring Badd Company from the AWA to make this a Triangle Match instead with the Rockers and the champions, the Vachons. Floyd Creatchman is issuing an open challenge to any tag team in the NWA or in the world that are willing to come to Quebec City to face his Samoan hitmen at Starrcade. Floyd says he doesn't care where they come from, they will take them down and stake their claim in the territory's tag team division. -Up next, Boris Zhukov squares off against Hillbilly Jim. This match was taped before King Tonga's attack on Hillbilly Jim the night before this show airs in syndication throughout Canada. The broadcast team mentions that Alexis Smirnoff & Baron Von Raschke will enter the $100,000 2-ring Battle Royal at Starrcade while Zhukov will be granted a rematch with Armand Rougeau for the Quebec Heavyweight Championship in Quebec City. Boris Zhukov defeats Jim after a stiff backbreaker after an 8-minute match. -After the commercial break, the broadcast team shows footage of King Tonga's return to Lutte Internationale as he assaulted Jos LeDuc & Hillbilly Jim after their match in Toronto last night. Jos LeDuc joins the broadcast team for an interview. It is announced that Rick Martel will be making his first WCCW World Heavyweight Title defense in the territory against Jos LeDuc tonight. Jos says he's still fuming from what happened last night at the Coliseum and he's fully expecting King Tonga to do his worst again tonight in his title match. Jos says he's not gonna wait for Tonga to retaliate before settling their score. Jos wants a No DQ Match against King Tonga at Starrcade in Quebec City! LeDuc finishes up by saying that how Tonga acts after this announcement will be very telling of his response to his challenge! -Main event time as a Cage was set up during Jos' interview and as Botswana Beast takes on Alexis Smirnoff. The cage is of course there to prevent any interference from the Creatchman Family or other Bolshevik Revolution member. Eddy Creatchman decides to join Guy Hauray & Édouard Carpentier at commentary for the main event and hypes how confident he is that his monsters will destroy the Andersons at Starrcade in Greensboro. The Brain says he's making the trip to Greensboro to witness this annihilation and he's very happy about all of this. The end comes as the Bolshevik Revolution shows up at ringside to intimidate the Brain but the rest of the Creatchman Family shows up as well and a huge melee ensues at the broadcast booth. The Brain chooses that moment to get close to the cage and somehow sneak his cane in the cage through the cracked door as Baron Von Raschke was trying to sneak himself. Beast used the cane on Smirnoff to capture the victory at the 12-minute mark. To conclude the show, the broadcast team announces this: -Raymond Rougeau vs "Maniac" Matt Borne -Jacques Rougeau vs Billy Robinson inside a Steel Cage -Comments from Rick Martel, Ric Flair & Black Bart for their respective matches! À LA SEMAINE PROCHAINE SI DIEU LE VEUT! Dark Matches after the tapings: -Boris Zhukov & Baron Von Raschke beat the Strong Machines -Gino Brito beat Keith Hart -Bobby Jaggers beat Matt Borne -Raymond Rougeau beat Bob Orton

Jim was stretchered out after a spike piledriver from Frenchy and Tonga. -Keith Hart beat Shawn Michaels in 11:31 -The Masked Playboy beat Gino Brito in 12:37. Postmatch, Billy Robinson ran in from backstage and wailed on the Playboy until security & Sherri Martel came in to stop him! Billy was hoping to unmask him as Buddy Rose but he was sorely disappointed when he couldn't remove the mask!
  15. Just giving you a heads up that there might be some delays in my show posts this week...Finally overcame a nasty stomach flu and I got some catching up to do with work first. Things should go back to normal over the weekend.
  16. If I can chime in, I think that maybe the biggest issue with the trade was the draft picks exchanged, especially MACW 2 first picks. As I csn remember, you have gathered many of them over the year (including 1 or 2 of mine) and I would assume that you would use some as trade bait to get bigger players for your territory. I am positively convinced that there was no ill intent on your part and you genuinely wanna help spaldoni, as you did with everybody. The players involved in the trade were perfectly fine by me. I am hopeful that you choose to stay becsuse you are a key player here.
  17. MemLutte has a better ring to it
  18. Yeah, it's been very cool so far. That stuff with Gene couldn't have come at a better time, especially since I couldn't do much stuff with Mid-Atlantic because Fenton wasn't able to do as much as he wanted to. But with spaldoni in his place now, I think it's gonna be fun to involve Mid-Atlantic, World Class & Lutte altogether - along with PR of course! - and we're hopefully be able to create some great stuff.
  19. I think Bam Bam vs Abdullah Tamba could be a fun little program. Solid work again!
  20. Holy crap, that's gonna be a huge tag match. Andre on one side and the Gang in the other corner!

  24. BREAKING NEWS RICK MARTEL IS THE NEW WCCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION; JACQUES ROUGEAU LOSES THE NWA CANADIAN INTERNATIONAL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP IN DALLAS The road to Starrcade just got a bit more interesting after the Thanksgiving Star Wars and dual-branded Holiday Wars events in Montreal and Dallas over the past few days. In an unexpected turn of events, Rick Martel captured the WCCW Heavyweight Championship at Holiday Wars by defeating Harley Race to the delight of the fans present in the Sportatorium. However, Jacques Rougeau didn't have the same luck as he lost the NWA Canadian International Heavyweight title in controversial fashion because of a rag soaked in ether. In addition, after he invoked his rematch clause in Dallas, Jacques won the match but via countout as Black Bart walked out, getting tired of the beating Jacques gave him. It seems like the Desperados and the Rougeaus will have some score to settle and Starrcade might be the next chapter for them. This also means that at the moment, the lesser known brother of the family, Armand, is the only Rougeau titleholder since he recaptured the Quebec Heavyweight Championship from Boris Zhukov at the Montreal portion of Holiday Wars. With that in mind, what does this mean for the future? Can we expect a bigger partnership between World Class & Lutte Internationale. Here's what Dave Meltzer had to say in his recent Newsletter: Dave Meltzer also added what he thinks the future holds as well with Mid-Atlantic:
  25. And the plot thickens for Starrcade.
