Even when Seth picked up the intensity at the end, the crowd didn't give a shit. This is the second biggest feud going into WM right now and fans gave the injured babyface making his big stand regardless of injury the same reaction they give to any random midcarder winning a match. That sure isn't some nefarious plan by HHH causing all that.

First off, I've been incredibly distracted for the past month at how extra robotic and scripted all the promos have been on all shows from all talents. They just seem extra bad lately. The burns in the women's promo and everything Cesaro was talking about were horrific. Died laughing at Seth's big emotional promo getting CM Punk chants and then silence until HHH came out, then Seth saying he'd be at WM getting the most mild of promos. Super annoyed with Cesaro having a match where he tweaks his knee in the early going, then Joe focuses on it the rest of the match, but he's still doing dropkicks/double stomps/flying crossbody blocks like nothing happened. Hopefully Joe/Sami at Fastlane will be better than their NXT matches around this time last year.

The Network has at least one Steamboat/Savage match in the Old School section that is definitely better than the WM 3 match.

I'd say odds are high that Hulk returns in a segment with New Day

This looks pretty evident to me: There's no way Rock's feet didn't hit the floor even from that angle without actually seeing his feet hit. Half the arena saw it right in front of them. The AJ/Harper wasn't nearly bad looking, since both were out of the ring and hitting the floor anyway.

Has there ever been a finish to a battle royal where two guys went out at the same time and one was declared the winner by landing a fraction of a second later than the other?
-
I never, ever saw him as a physical threat. Short fat guy who waddles around ringside and lightly raps guys with his cane and looked legitimately painfully non-athletic or imposing. I'm supposed to take him as a physical threat when he's around guys like Powers of Pain and Demolition? Even in his wrestling career, there was nothing intimidating or imposing about him in the least, he was just good at being sneaky and cheating.

I'd suggest looking at the events available on The RealHero Archive, then cross-referencing them with results/guides on cagematch.de for what sounds the most interesting or has the most hype. The WAR Box files seems to be best of comps, so maybe just watch those.

Why she thinks a shitty missile dropkick is on the same level as a moonsault off the announce table/stage is anyone's guess.
-
I don't know why you'd expect people who were around for a year or less to get a worst award multiple years in a row. Fuji was the biggest one on that stage with lots of talent and exposure and he sucked at everything.
-
Fuji was pretty terrible, though. The only other option for that period at that level was probably Harvey Wippleman.

I'm 100% positive Vader isn't passing soon. He's been angling hard to get into the HOF for years, and I think he's clearly working this health thing hoping WWE will put him in thinking he's about to die. Announces he's got two years to live, gets a bunch of retweets/trending/sheet talk. Then he makes a tweet saying a second doc said he was fine and wasn't dying, got retweets, deleted it. Then said DDP Yoga CURED him of all of his health issues, got retweets, deleted it. Now he's got a t shirt he's selling. He also posted pictures of him after a "car wreck" that should have killed him and the pictures clearly had pretty poor make up looking like he had been in a wreck. And then...he deleted them. If you've ever interacted with Vader on twitter, you will know that he just makes up easily verifiable shit and then begs to get inducted into the HOF.

Becky should drop her missile dropkick. It looks terrible and also looks like she's going to give herself a concussion/back injury on the landing.

I don't think they've ever promoted any of the vault footage on TV except when they dropped the first year of Nitro. Actually, there are more ads for WWE Network ON WWE Network itself than on TV. Like actual ads, not Cole saying "see it only on WWE Network".
-
What's even more weird to me is all the full matches and even shows of 70s and 80s stuff that they've had on their Youtube page since before the Network launched, so the footage is already digitized and cleaned up, yet it's likely to never get up on the Network. And all that stuff they had on 24/7 or the internet thing they tried about a decade ago that still isn't up on the Network 3 years after launch. They're never going to run out of vault footage. There is no reason at all to hoard the library other than they think no one cares, but there is no reason NOT to put it up as an added value and because they have to digitize and clean up everything they have anyway.

I don't know what happened so I was genuinely asking if people were mad or not. JR is a known rabble rouser, so I ignore him and the rest of wrestling talking heads.
-
Are people actually upset about this? That a battle royal finish had a mistimed ending and they went with what they had planned anyway? It's 2017.
-
Adam Cole is probably the most forced "indie star" in like a decade. That dude is bland as fuck and I legit have no idea why ROH, PWG, or NJPW books him.

You don't like wackyinflatablearmwavingbayleybuddies?

If you're in the main event of Raw and it draws like 70% of hour 2, you're a draw. Which is a bizarre way to measure that, but that's how things are today. Goldberg's show ending segments have been way up from the normal end of show match/segment, but still significantly lower than what hours 1 and 2 do. But it's like, hey, if you can stop the bleeding, you're a draw now.
-
That happened like....5 years ago. At least. ROH hasn't been the super indy fed or even a fed most people care about in a long time. Going back to the Cornette/HDNet era, which I want to say was...2009ish? PWG is what it is, and it is hard to get mad at the dumb shit dudes do in the ring there because that's kind of the whole point of their shows. It is absolutely exhausting to watch a full show in one sitting, though. It's not my cup of tea, but I do usually try to check out BOLA over the course of like... a week. I don't think they've really had a break out star in years, though. Steen/Generico, then the Young Bucks, and everyone since then has really been fairly established guys already that they're booking for dream matches.

AJ vs Harper is going to happen? Should be dope. AJ vs Bray would be dope, too. And Orton. I mean, really anyone of note that AJ hasn't paired up with yet would be something worth watching.
-
Even the Hulu version that cuts out all the filler was terrible. That Bayley/Sasha/Steph/Charlotte promo was abnormally bad. Such terrible writing and delivery from all involved. All the speaking on the show felt extra robotic and stiff. The HOSS battle was dope. A bit longer than it needed to be, but pretty dope nonetheless. Braun is the truth. I was so distracted at KO's appearance during his promo. I don't want to send Grimmas into a tizzy, but dude's beard and teeth are disgusting.
-
They'll be all over the show, and it sure beats having another match with The Club or Sheamus/Cesaro. They're likely going to kick off the show in front of the crowd, do 15 backstage segments, and something near the end of the show in front of the crowd again. Probably have a big parade or something.
-
The shows got better when he got injured. Like...immediately better. But I agree going back to AOTF shit. That whole generation of indie guys along with the Bryan/Nigel post headbutt thing made me leave indie wrestling.
