This thread was fun! Funny how Brock's most hated/criticised tenure in WWE also produced some of his best matches - and some of the best matches in the company's history. Guess he is just that talented to the point he gets bored really easily.

I'm not thrilled because I am pretty sure Cole is going to be the top champ earlier than someone like, say, MJF. Also, it's great to see Lee happy and healthy. WWE fumbled that one really bad. Is it safe to say Lee was their biggest mistreated talent ever? But hey, dude is catching dives and powerbombing fools onto other fools. It's dope. As for that Miles Teller-looking mofo Jay White, it's fine. Having him appear in a segment in which he was indisguishable from everyone else was A Choice, I guess.

Sometimes, yes. In this case, it is a very safe-looking bump, so there's nothing to really cringe at, thankfully. -

WWE TV 02/07 - 02/13 Senegal won the Africa Cup of Nations!

I'm torn. Escobar is easily one of the company's best wrestlers and Legado Del Fantasma is awesome. I want to see him be the top champ, yet it is too early for Bron to lose the belt. I guess adding a rubber match with Ciampa and a mini feud with Ziggler could be good if they can still keep Santos hot, but at the same time both Bron and Escobar are 100% ready for the main roster. They managed to get two dudes I wanna see as top champ which is incredible. And that's not even mentioning Melo, who's the A Champ. -

Also, tonight's episode of NXT 2.0 shows it's got the spirit of 2012-2013 NXT. You get fresh, new faces, lots of gimmicks, and veterans from the main roster making guest appearances to help develop the talent. It's great, really. -

The boys are awesome, bubba! Loved reading their reactions. I'm glad you had a good time. Miz vs Rey Mysterio is just one of those feuds that make sense. Super good guy vs super unlikeable guy. Two of the best in their respective alignments. The story itself is simple, but it really shouldn't be complicated with those two. -

Creed Bros absolutely should win the tournament. -

Yes please give me a roster full of dudes and dudettes who can slam the shit out of people. -
Joe as a commentator or with a mic in his hand is great, don't get me wrong. There are like just two or three dudes in AEW that match his intensity (Punk and Kingston, mostly). I just don't ever want to see him wrestle again. It's not even about getting physical, as you can have an angle with a brawl and it would be good, but having him be in actual matches seems misguided.

Yup. Raw being GOOD two weeks in a row is a surprising welcome. I cannot confirm it by memory, but Denver feels like one of the most recepive crowds. -

The crowd seems to like it. This feud is faaaaaar from the worst thing they have done, really. Just harmless fun and it serves to make Orton's case as a top 100 wrestler ever!!!!!! -
Sadio Mane vs Mohammed Salah in the finals of a continental tournament is one of the biggest match-ups in soccer at the moment. I kinda miss new, huge match-ups in wrestling. AEW has done something, pick up the pace, Fed. Roman vs Goldberg is happening four years too late.

I love Joe as much as anyone and think it would be cool to have Punk, Bryan and him in one company, but do you guys really want to see him in action? He is broken down. Could barely move in his match against Killer Kross. It's not like Punk in which we didn't know what shape he would turn up in or anything. We HAVE SEEN Joe in action and he hasn't been very mobile since 2018. He's a great commentator, though. Isn't Juice Robinson a free agent? He's another dude that could make an impact (hehe)

WWE TV 01/31 - 02/06 Roman gunning for that 600 day reign

I'm not familiar with Carrillo's work outside of WWE, but him being a great heel surprised me a bit. Garza is excellent as usual, of course. Them versus Alpha Academy could be a fun romp at Survivor Series, although they are probably going to play it safer. -
Is Will Ospreay the least popular big name wrestler out there? Every time he says something there's someone to verbally own him. Magical.
-
I mean, the reason she's out of the company is due to being an anti-vaxx dummy. She isn't the only person that was unsafe, and one even gets pushed to the moon and back.
-
South Park still being popular with younger audiences is so weird to me.

Goldberg vs Big E please -
Same, here. We are well past the point of having ratingsssss as the only defining metric, but even so having a quarter breakdown is always fun to see. The real swerve would be the main event losing viewers.

AEW having a rough week, to say the least.

Any recommendations, bubba? Is Dragunov's reign going well so far? I watched both of his more recent matches and he looked like the biggest wrestler in the planet, but like you mentioned, NXT UK gets nearly zero press, so I have no idea how things are going. -

What the fuck this cannot be real -
Online discourse will be so much better when we just let go of star ratings to show our appreciation for wrestling matches. Even more so when PWI/Meltzer is the one (and only?) major voice doing that. Some take his word for gospel, others automatically reject it. Who gives a fuck if one dude thinks Guevara and Cody had a better match than any given Hashimoto match? Or that they are on par with many Misawa/Kobashi/Kawada matches? Let him have his asinine takes. Let me think Baron Corbin vs Chad Gable had a series of matches a while back that smoke 90% of what came since then. Let bubba C.S. think Christian is a bigger star than The Rock!
-
Kinda, yeah. I've seen arguments that Danielson is forcing people to wrestle the Danielson way. Great, for sure, but we have seen that stuff for quite some time now. Punk is just sitting at home, watching Bret Hart compilations and taking notes. Every match feels like there is something different, which is very damn welcome in AEW and elsewhere. For sure I wasn't expecting what we are getting. Now I just need a big beefy man to start watching Hashimoto matches.
