Kind of a farty finish for such a great match. One of Andrade's goons having a fucking stun gun is insane lol
-
Listen, the show was great. That opening segment was awesome.
-
SmackDown was fucking aces! Wrestling is awesome!
-
Either they keep alternating between one-off challengers and advancing the Brock/Roman feud, or they pull the trigger on Big E cashing in and they feud without the belt.
-
Montez doing all that crazy shit with a single shoe? Fucking awesome.
-
I mean, they better do what they can because MNF is probably going to have like 25M people watching.
-
From what I've seen, it's around the 1M mark, but they're still counting
-
IT'S TRAE YOUNG HAHAHAHAHAAH
-
Look, the build to Roman vs Brock is already really fucking good. Does it have time to be ruined? Absolutely. But it did reach high highs.

LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ROMAN KING OF MSG VS BROCK LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOO

LOOK AT HIM LOOK AT THE BIG FUCKING DOG

REX STEINER is one of the top tier wrestling names. Starting out with USA 'Murica propaganda is a good way to lose me

Nattie is there if you want to have a by-the-numbers match for someone with nearly zero experience. That's the praise I'm able to give her. TAMINA is outshining her in those tag matches, think about that. I am aware that she is a respectable figure backstage, and good for her. She's almost universally praised as this "big sis" figure, and overall she seems like a nice lady. But man... in-ring I just don't have time for her.

The biggest issue is that NXT fucked up badly by trying to be a developmental AND a super indy. They got lesser known names such as Bayley, Sasha and to a certain extent, Becky herself, and turned them into mega stars. PAC was also super fucking great, the Wyatt Family was an over act, and the Shield was just the best. Most of the people there were the B to C tier of indy talent. They turned out fine. I think what changed the game for them was Finn Balor. He was their biggest signing for a while, and around that same time came KO, Joe, Nakamura, and then fucking Robert Roode, Drew Mc, Adam Cole... shit became this weird super indie/TNA combination and completely lost sight of what made it such an engaging product. If they dial back and focus on the task of actually preparing wrestlers, perfect. They managed to have success recently with the Street Profits and have a huge star in Bianca Belair. It's totally fair to criticize their awful culture with assholes like Bill DeMott, but at the same time I see it as a fixable issue. -

I think the influx of talent we'll have in the next 5-10 years is going to be massive. We have very young guys in AEW and NXT, and some still to debut like Gable Stevenson. If everything turns out fine, the future looks bright. -
They got some amateur wrestlers with nice credentials (one is undefeated in the NCAA and the other was in the Olympic trials) on NXT, and honestly, I'd do the same. Give Stevenson someone like Bivens (who is also managing those guys at NXT) and just go for it.

I don't know, bubba. I haven't thought about Naomi getting a push in quite some time if I'm being honest, and I'm a fan. I mentioned her because they "seem" to have a storyline addressing the fact that she's been overlooked by management. They could get her going somewhere by acknowledging the Tribal Chief. And truth be told, even if she is not the greatest (although I do think she's good), people still care about her despite the fact the Fed never really did. She is popular, why not use that to write an engaging story? Honestly, dropping the title to fucking Nattie Neidhart... As for Tegan and Shotzi, it does suck that they haven't got a title shot. Specially when Rhea/Nikki got that opportunity by doing way less. The issue here, to me, is not who is available, but how they are using their pieces.

Absolutely true. Omos, one of the better parts of RAW, played basketball in college. It's his first year in-ring and he's honestly pretty damn good. Already has the presence and can work the crowd. Him locking up against Bobby Lashley was so fucking cool. As for the second part, yeah. Basketball players, specially nowadays, seem more well-rounded than ever. LeBron himself could've been a very good player, if we look at the videos he posted a while ago with his Lakers peers playing some AmFoot. He's strong, fast, explosive, and can throw some nasty dimes. -
Mercedes KV is All Elite and honestly considering how rabid her fanbase is, I think she would "convert" a not insignificant amount of people.

Most of the biggest issues are on the RAW side of things. On SD they seem to be having a storyline for Naomi (please let her join The Bloodline) and Liv is getting featured more often. They still have Tegan and Shotzi, that while not featured constantly, still got big wins. Bianca, despite their Summerslam blunder, is still very fucking over, which is good if they are planning on continuing that Becky feud. As for the rest... bad timing and bad luck. I don't mind the Rhea/Cross pairing, but what a surprise that the two last people Charlotte was feuding with vanished from the title picture...

It was really good. The fact they essentially worked a 2/3 falls match in a way that didn't feel rush was very fresh to me. Also it was pretty gnarly at some points. Easy watch.

The thing to me is that even during his Black Reign he managed to insert some fun plunder matches, and that's when he was at his most fucked up. I thought his personal problems hindered him more than actual in-ring abilities. He has merch saying "Five Decades", and his longevity is surely something to write home about, bubba. I think that him staying healthy and taking care of himself is one of the biggest what ifs in wrestling of the last 25 years, at least. At the very least, he has certainly one of the most fascinating careers out there.

Balor's reign of terror is where it started to crumble. I'll die on this hill.

Suzuki himself was moving better tbh. But yeah, Dustin is one of the all time greats, no wonder he's having BANGERS for 33 years now. Black's matches should be structured like that MOTYC he had against Cesaro, or like this, if we were to integrate more storyline stuff into the match. Will he reach the top of the mountain next year? Cole looking small is something I've pointed out for years now. He looked tiny compared to Rey Mysterio. Broader shoulders, thinner arms. He has some coolness to him that would fit more one of those pretty boy musicians, but he does need to get some mass, man. Like, Jungle Boy is not a huge dude, but he's pretty well built. Hell, Bryan himself, who is not tall, has the proper built.
