The more I think about it, the more this Rumble match felt perfect. Even the middle part had things going on for it, like callbacks to the New Day/Wyatt feud, Harper finally taking a stand, tag team discension between Cesaro and Sheamus, Corbin ELIMINATING STROWMAN... It was just a very good match. Would easily, EASILY put it in the top 5 of all time. Not having surprise entrants is barely a flaw when you have such a stacked line-up like this match had.

You mean Roman eliminating Jericho, who did NOTHING in this match, resting outside for quite some time, is a factor of why he's been hated? Jericho having a string of long, meaningless participations in Royal Rumble matches has got to be my least favorite trend in wrestling.
-
Gotta love the fact that every single entry had something unique to them, as well as defined characters and different styles. Compare this to something like, I dunno, 2011. It's a stark difference.

Roman vs Taker is my shit. Fucking stacked Rumble match and an incredible PPV.
-
Hating this yearly tradition of Jericho outstaying his welcome by at least 30 minutes

Fuck. This match. SO GOOOOOOOOD
-
Fuck off Owens. Stealing a finisher for a near fall is just the pits

Save us Emmalina? How was the tag team match?
-
Missed the preshow matches and much of Bayley/Charlotte. Can someone tell me how the tag team match go? The result ain't exactly pleasing to me, so I hope the match was good at least.

I don't think Tye came off as a loser in this particular match, really. He basically had the match won if it wasn't for Sanity shenanigans, while against Roode/Almas/Crews/anyone else he lost because he choked. He had to deal with 3 people instead of just 1, the numbers game caught up to him etc. Of course if he managed to hold off everyone it would've been a better story but it is what it is.
-
Because then who is going to be pinned? Can't risk ruining your friendship through the establishment of a hierarchy.

Man, comparing Almas' strikes in this match to his strikes in his debut against Tye Dillinger is night and day. He was laying it in so much more, and Roddy was also responding in kind. It's a shame that this match was just kind of there, while every other match had more of a story and build to them. Still, for what it's worth, it was a very pleasant watch.

That was the one were Joe bled almost immediatly right? His performance there was very good, but the constant stoppage and bullshit finish with the flash pin were just too much for me. That was the best time for a title change.
-
I thought the Joe/Balor feud was pretty damn bad, really, at least from an in-ring perspective. None of their matches really made me feel anything.

This overdelivered. A completely unremarkable card was actually one of the best TakeOvers from top to bottom and had the best men's main event since I dunno, Zayn/Neville?
-
Was that the first time we actually saw Triple H acting like the usual version of Triple H in an NXT environment? Indeed it was. Him playing the heel on his own playground is such a simple, yet effective idea. Rollins looked his best ever since his return from injury.
-
Really smart, really good idea of having Rollins invade Triple H's baby. Amazing.
-
Almas/Strong was dope. Crowd was molten for Tye, not so much for anything else.
-
Killian carries himself so much better than anyone in Sanity, barring Nikki Cross. Can't see him lasting long there. Can't see Sanity itself lasting, too.
-
Full card is as follows: Nakamura/Roode Asuka/Nikki Cross/Billie Kay/Peyton Royce Eric Young/Tye Dillinger DIY/Authors of Pain Roderick Strong/Andrade Almas No Way Jose/Eli Samson (Pre-show)

I don't think there was a NXT card so uninteresting paired with a main roster card so damn unpredictable and with such potential to be the PPV of the year. I am expecting the women's fatal four way to be the best match on today's card, easily.

His last run was very, very enjoyable. Was still a name with enough gravitas that losses didn't really hurt him, and as such used his star power to put over younger people. His send-off was also great too. I think he's far more charismatic than guys like Orton ever were, even if the actual mechanical part of wrestling wasn't his strongest point. He was a good face, and a good heel too. I might revisit some older matches of his, as I always liked him.

Which wrestling manager was the most beneficial to his clients?
KawadaSmile replied to Loss's topic in Pro Wrestling
About Heyman, wasn't he also manager for Curtis Axel and Cesaro? He didn't really help those two guys at all, so as much as his success managing Brock and Punk deserve to be praised, he has some pretty big failures in his record too. -
I think one of the most interesting facets to the industry nowadays - at least for WWE - is that they are very keen on expanding their international markets, and not just on other countries where wrestling is relatively big. John Cena speaking mandarin, and a guy from Chile being featured in a WWE-produced tournament is not something I would expect. There was even supposed to be a wrestler from Brazil, though I don't recall the reason he didn't make the cut. Weight? Nevertheless, I am sensing a very "global" aspect of the industry right now, and from my point of view, it's cool as shit.
