Vlad's fucking awesome. Hope he's not a Milkshake Duck!

Maybe three years too late, but better than never

I don't think a brand split would work, tbh. Essentially you are doing WWE-isms for the sake of it. Or rather, this is a decision made to please a single wrestler who isn't popular with his peers. Jericho is only behind Bray Wyatt in terms of being a con artist. Absurd.

Miz is carrying here, bubbas. Love to see a great wrestler in his craft.

Brock is now Undertaker!

Cody is still over. He is him.

Becky's contract is up this year, bubbas.

This talk about Tony Nese makes me think of this snippet of a Dolph Ziggler interview I saw today. When asked about what he was most proud of in his career, he first answered "the money", which while in jest, is something I believe he does enjoy a lot. He then goes on to give a more thoughtful answer, saying how he was proud of being able to be the curtain jerker, to a midcard guy challenging for the IC belt, or even occasionally in the main event, subbing in for an injured colleague. I'm not really a fan of his, but it is undenieable he is a valuable "solid hand" for any company, and I think Nese falls under that same category. You won't get a top guy out of him - I mean, top guys are by definition hand-picked wrestlers, chances are most wrestlers won't be that - but you can place him in several different places in the card, and they can give you something good. He's not there to outshine your main eventer or the guy you want to push (unless he goes full Paul Roma trying to fuck with Alex Wright), but he's there to enhance them. Guys in that role are valuable to any company. They are the rotation players of an NBA team, or the trustworthy bench players of a soccer squad who mostly play 90 minutes during domestic cups. They are there for a reason.

People were actually saying things like "What if The Elite has PTSD or get triggered from sharing the locker room with CM Punk?" You'd think CM Punk was the most evil person to ever set foot in a wrestling locker room based on how fans - and some media outlets! - are portraying the man. However, I must say that if they book CMFTR vs JAS before booking a feud with The Elite, then they have lost the fucking plot. Fucking Jericho, man...
-
If they are set on having this 2-hour Saturday show, I wonder why - and that is if - they would keep Rampage.
-
IIRC Tony himself has said that.
-
At this point it could even be arguable that most of AEW's highlights don't really involve The Elite, and the company has outgrown its founding fathers.
-
Starks IIRC was during a match, but yeah, I remember those crossfit drills they used to do making a number on their roster
-
For fuck's sake man, Mox really did describe it best when he said it was the most drama-filled locker room he was in.

I actually like Omega more when he's not going at a fucking 100 kilometers per hour. I mean, he does have great fucking punches, he can easily adapt his game should he need it. And with Punk being himself, aka a smarmy fuck, it's easy heat. Besides, I don't even think Punk and Omega have that much beef, so it's not like they couldn't do business like two grown men. Phil seems to hate the YB and Hangman much more.
-
Jericho is a massive heat vampire, man. Starks went from having a mini-feud with MJF, with a fucking white-hot promo, to an endless feud with Jericho, and now is gonna become Switchblade food. Action Andretti ain't even making TV. But Y2J? Yeah, he's facing a returning Adam Cole, baybay! And will face a returning CM Punk, too! I hate him.

Oh, I agree. Getting 45k is already dope and is likely a profit. I'm just saying that the trios match gives them more seats filled than not doing it.
-
He looks like the sleaziest motherfucker in wrestling. By a fair margin. Disgoosting man.
-
It depends on the bottom line tbh. Punk & Friends vs The Elite could sell a PPV, yeah, but it could also help fill more seats out of that 90k stadium. I think they have more to gain by promoting that at the stadium, specially when it comes to building a foreign fanbase.

Oh, don't get me wrong - all four of them ARE very green and ARE on a developmental show. The NXT Women's Division was so fucking dire for a long time, and to see newcomers to the industry show some promise is good. Sol Ruca 100% has IT, tho. She had a nice little match with Tiffany this week, which featured even more flippy shit than the clip, and actual meat to the match. Tiff is great.
-
Every now and then those greenhorns from NXT do some impressive shit. Flipping out of a gutwrench suplex is something I legit have never seen. And the Sol Snatcher remains one of the top finishers ever.

I mean, while I don't think Logan Paul would work as well in AEW as he does in WWE, the Jacksonville office did feature Snoop Dogg, Shaq, Rosario Dawson (man the Codyverse was weird) and Rick Ross, so celebrities aren't really a foreign concept to them. Getting someone who has, whether we like it or not, some sort of mainstream exposure is not a bad thing, even if it is for a single event. Logan Paul does the Buckshot better than Hangman, that's for sure

AEW TV 4/5 - 4/7 - Are you ready for yet another HUGE announcement?
KawadaSmile replied to The Thread Killer's topic in AEW
I think Swerve, while great, is better served with a stable, or someone to have some dynamics with him. Now, that Hit Row would be the best fit both companies could give him, that was something else. It's a matter of chemistry, to be honest. Bigger than the sum of their parts. -
They could have a banger, alright. Solo has improved so damn much just by hanging around the big boys.
-
Io is ready for a face push, bubbas. She is so fucking good.
