The Rockers get a solid win to get them ready for their title shot in 2 weeks. Adams' superkick may have shut Budro up for a bit. Rotundo is a great ally for Steiner to have in his feud with The Grapplers. Worked great for Rick irl. Kamala claims his most impressive scalp in WCPW yet. I really like the touch of having him win his matches by countout. Really sells the beatings he dishes out. The Savages follow by mauling The Battens. Garvin gets the best of Taylor, with Precious's help. Race gives a short but sweet promo to hype the main event. RPMs & the New Breed boil over. Bad News decides to test his barber skills on Spivey. Sounds like he should stick to wrestling. The Nasties get past the Dudes but The Rockers await. Landel helps Idol retain tonight but can Adams overcome the odds on the 25th. A major show coming up in Orland park with the debut of Jimmy Snuka! Really glad i'm not Johnny Ace though.

Barr goes ballistic in the operner. Finlay officially splits from the club but seems to quickly find new allies. Double J advances along with his Odd Couple tag partner. Backlund makes an example of Blackman. The General moves on to face a man who once rejected a spot in the Army. Hart & OMG agreed to take on a partner....& they don't even know who it is? That must've been one hell of an offer. TDT jumps straight to the front of the line as they beat Badd Company. Moon's good mood must've vanished quickly.

Richter is out of gold & copes by diving headfirst into a feud with the Giant Slayers. The Glamour Girls get a solid win over the rookies on their quest for another title shot. Luna's interference backfires leading to a Medusa victory. That's bound to send Ms Vachon even further over the edge!
-
Gama with a solid showing in the opener. Lightning Strike gets some payback on the Teamsters. Dynamite blows up on Santana. Barr & Smiley were chosen to lose tonight. Scorpio can't overcome the numbers game. Ten minutes of Busick & Blackwell beating on each other sounds like a great way to spend the night. Canek overcomes Ustinov to secure his first defense. Larry Z & Perez sneak away with the titles once again.

The Bull Hammer puts a dent in British Steel. Haynes' full nelson corals Sabu. No easy feat. The leader of the crusade outwrestles the General of the Army. Tenta brings the Big Quake to his home country. The Snowbirds defuse the Bomb Squad. The Bulls cost the Rainbow Warriors the tag titles. This will not go unanswered. Double J becomes the latest to fall to Big Bubba.

The new era of the AWA arrives with a splash courtesy of Jerry Blackwell! The Bombers are ready to fly into their World title shot. Brown & Dream Machine collide to determine who the REAL weak link in The Syndicate was. Mad Dog is ready to take a bite out of Morgan. Scorpio may want to call a friend if he means to go after Royal & Cooley. Kirchner is here to shut that commie Ustinov up once & for all! Bring on the flag match! Vin Man decides to focus all his energy on Kevin Kelly. That seems a pretty safe bet. Young Putski finally busts out the Polish Hammer. The National Tag champs are on cloud 9 but Cabin Fever may bring them crashing down to earth. The next chapter in the Armstring/Fuller saga begins. Smiley & Barr show why they've been chosen. Morrow may have made a bad investment. Mulligan does what everyone in wrestling wishes they could do...shut Tommy Rich's mouth! What a way to close the show.

Eddie beats Barr with his own move! If Barr's mad now imagine how pissed he'll be when everyone who sees it immediately thinks of Eddie. The Hart Foundation toughs it out against the Crazy Gang's senior members. Bomb Squad strikes Black Gold! Mando gets the squeeze from US Steel. Simmons & Henning take down the monsters of the Crazy Gang. Rose steals another one thanks to Grizzly. OMG disrupts the main event to send a message to the champ.

Haynes has a point to prove and he does so with vigor. Cactus Jack joins the Army! I like the little touch of having Douglas join in & be the swaying argument. To the surprise of no one, Severn advances in the Submission title tournament. Between his Wild Bulls & Big Cat, RPG is almost ready to open a zoo! Dingo shows he can learn form his mistakes but the return of Fuchi prevents him from gaining his payback...for the moment. Hector avenges a previous loss & has a chance to bring gold back to the Guerrrero household. The leader of a heel group that actually...praises his men after they lose? Who chooses to focus on the positives instead of the failures? Bob Backlund just blew a LOT of fans minds! Finlay's new attitude finally costs the Playboy Club a match meaning the split is closer than it's ever been. Finlay should be a fun face.

Previously recorded @ Center Stage in Atlanta GA. With your host "The Dean of professional wrestling Gordon Solie. (After the opening video we cut to Solie in the booth. He recaps the suspension of the Red Tide who he reveals were scheduled to be in tonight's main event. He informs the audience that a replacement team has been found meaning the tag team main event may proceed. He also teases a debut as well as the first big reveal for the Crockett Cup coming up in April before sending it to the ring) The debuting "Iron Fist" Duke Myers defeated George South after slipping something into his elbowpad & nailing South with it. The Southern Boys (Tracy Smothers & Steve Armstrong) defeat Al Bundy & Steve Rhoades when Smothers pinned Bundy with the "Tennessee Jawbreaker" (Solie hypes last weeks announcement of the return of the Crockett Cup. He states that Jim Crockett Jr wasn't exaggerating when he announced that talks were underway with other promotions to send their teams to compete. He reveals that talks had been underway for some time & that he can report the AWA has agreed to send representatives into the tournament!) Iceman Parsons w/Slick defeats Rocky King with a piledriver. Slick joined Solie on commentary & took every opportunity to boost that his men Whatley & Conway were the NEW NWA United States Tag Team Champions. The debuting Ranger Ross defeats Dusty Wolfe with the "Combat Kick" When we return from commercial break, The Kansas Jayhawks are already in the ring awaiting their opponents. Things pick up when a crunchy guitar riff erupts from the speakers, paired with a heavy kickdrum... Guitars ring through the dead of night/ Scream so blue, sound so right/ Make you Homesick Genuine surprise can be heard under Solie's ever-present professionalism as he introduces the Jayhawks opponents...Jimmy Golden... Robert Fuller....The Stud Stable! Main event The Stud Stable (Jimmy Golden & Robert Fuller) vs The Kansas Jayhawks (Bobby Jagers & Dutch Mantel) ends in a draw as the teams wrestle to the end of tv time.

From the Winthrop Coluseam in Rock Hill, SC it's... NWA Power Hour! Previously Recorded/Airing 2/25/87 On Commentary:Bob Caudle & Tony Schiavone Ring Announcer:David Crockett (Instead of the usual opening video we see footage of last weeks show in Richmond. We see Red Tide beating down The Road Warriors, their manager Paul Ellering & even some NWA security before hanging Ellering & the Road Warriors! We then cut to a solemn Caudle & Schiavone at ringside) BC:Wrestling fans welcome to another episode of NWA Power Hour, professional wrestling's most exciting hour. I'm Bob Caudle alongside Tony Schiavone & Tony we just saw the frightening events from our recent show in Richmond Virginia & Tony we've been dealing with the fallout all week. TS:Indeed we have Bob. The Disciplinary committee had an emergency meeting & emerged with the following result. (Pauses as he retrieves a piece of paper from his pocket) Due to the assault on several members of the NWA staff who are not registered wrestlers as well as the retired Paul Ellering, the group known collectively as The Red Tide will be prohibited from appearing at any sanctioned NWA event until they pay a fine in the amount of FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS! *Huge pop as Schiavone puts away the paper* BS: There it is fans but it doesn't stop there, when the Red Tide's representatives were presented with this ruling, they responded that their "superiors" had forbidden them from paying any amount to what they termed "the corrupt NWA establishment" so it seems we're at an impasse. In any event, it doesn't appear that the Red Tide will be appearing at any NWA event in the near future. But enough serious business, let's lighten the mood by heading to the ring for our first match. Match #1 "Super Rookie" Hiroshi Hase defeats Mitch Snow with a submission move the name of which Caudle translates as "Scorpion Death Lock" Commercial-Bob Caudle runs down the NWA house shows for the coming week. Good & Plenty (Ray Candy & Sweet Brown Sugar) defeat Bob Belcher & Rick Sanchez after hitting Belcher with the "Tootsie Roll" (We see a pre-taped Promo from Stan Hansen. He's infuriated by the lack of "real men" in the NWA. Says that the fact that nobody has stepped forward to face him is a disgrace to what's supposed to be a "real man's sport". Says he's decided to take the initiative & that starting this next tour he launching the "Stan Hansen Roadkill Tour" which "ain't stopping till i find a real man ta fight with or I've knocked the head off'a every yellabelly in this stinkin' company & I don't rightly care which comes first" Match #3 "Exotic" Adrian Street w/Ms Linda defeats "Stray Cat" Brodie Chase with a crossface chickenwing. Commercial break (Caudle & Schiavone recap the events for the inaugural NWA Worldwide last week focusing on the closing moments in which Butch Moffat was taken away by the Angel of Death & the mysterious masked man. They reveal that a message was sent to NWA headquarters during the last week promising a "proper introduction" on next week's episode. Caudle & Schiavone speculate on the strange events & what this "introduction" may intel) Match #4 The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Arn & Ole Anderson) w/ JJ Dillion defeat Ryan Akagi & Min-Gi Park when Ole pinned Akagi with a kneedrop. Commercial break Main event Non title NWA United States Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage w/ Ms Elizabeth defeats "Pretty Boy" Doug Somers with the "Savage Elbow". During the match Adrian Adonis came to ringside, however instead of helping Somers he seemed determined to strike up a conversation with Elizabeth which she was clearly less than enthusiastic about. After his victory Savage makes a point to exit the ring in a way that puts him between Elizabeth & Adonis before escorting her out while the Adorable one tends to his stalemate.

These past two shows have been horrible for Richter! Down to one title that she has to defend on one leg. Congratulations to the Giant Slayers. I wonder who the Nasty Girls will turn to for their next partner. Debbie Combs capitalizes on an exhausted Richter to capture two titles!
-
Vegas is in for 2 nights of tournament goodness! Who could OMG & Gary Hart have in store for the Brigade?
-
NWA releases Vlad Petrov & Ray Stevens & signs Duke Myers & Ranger Ross
-
Singh & Bennett not only win the tag titles but may have put both their opponents on the shelf. Combs doesn't seem to appeased by her match. Richter escapes with 2 of her belts thanks to Luna. Mitchell with the upset of the night! Not holding out much hope for her title match but she could prove me wrong. Moretti fends off an injured Richter. Who's next?
-
NWA send Nikita & Ivan Koloff to WCPW for Jimmy Golden & Robert Fuller.

Jarrett heralds the new age of the AWA but Greg Gagne could be the spammer in the works, The Glamour Boys are quickly establishing themselves. The Teamsters refuse to be overlooked again! Mulligan vs Rich for the World Title? Bring it! Singh brought it but Busick retains the TV title. Santana awaits however. Honestly? I can but that people aren't exactly lining up to face Colon right now. Cabin Fever are through messing around & want their belts back! Britton seems proud of her new security. I get a feeling that a lot of people are gonna have trouble dealing with Royal & Coolley. Morgan claims he is the *only* Beast in the AWA! But i think Sawyer might have something to say about that. The Chosen Ones hmm? Let's see what they've got. Gagne's campaign to rid the AWA of team Jarrett is off to a horrible start! Rich sends us off by being his usually....charming self.

NWA Live @ Civic Center in Richmond VA 2/22/87 Angel of Death defeats a local talent with a clothesline from the second rope. AOD was accompanied by the masked man from Worldwide. The debuting "Super Rookie" Hiroshi Hase defeats Executioner with what appeared to be a modified Texas Cloverleaf. "Exotic" Adrian Street w/ Ms Linda defeats El Santo Negro after Ms Linda whacked Santo with her purse. The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Arn & Ole Anderson) w/JJ Dillon defeat Good & Plenty (Ray Candy & Sweet Brown Sugar) with a double gordbuster to SBS. The Outlaws (Ron Bass & Black Bart) defeat The Southern Boys (Tracy Smothers & Steve Armstrong) after Bass hit Armstrong with Miss Betsy behind the referee's back. NWA World Tag Team Titles The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal)(c) w/"Precious" Paul Ellering defeat The Red Tide (Ivan Koloff & Vladimir Petrov) by dq when Nikita stormed the ring after the Road Warriors had hit "Uncle" Ivan with the "Doomsday Device". The Road Warriors fought back as best they could with Ellering doing his part but the Red Tide got ahold of their chains it all went downhill. What followed was a brutal beatdown that culminated in Hawk, Animal & Ellering all being hung by the chains! By the time security pried Red Tide off the damage was done & the fans were ready to riot. Security practically dragged the 3 Russians out of the arena with NWA officials being heard screaming that the Soviets had gone to far this time!

Superblast is stacked with the kind of hardhitting matches that Watts would've loved irl. Tom Prichard actually fits in well as a Freebird. Murdoch vs Brody in a Lights Out Match! What more needs to be said?
-
The image of Burke & Miller trying to have a match while both having to corral their own partners cracks me up. Tenta squashes Roses top lieutenant. Backlund outlasts Barr. The scene at the end with all the Knights just staring at Barr was kinda creepy. The Hart Foundation & Los Guerreros had their working boots on tonight. Both members of the Bomb Squad go down in defeat. Mr Backlund doesn't seem pleased. Finlay vs Konnan is such an interesting contrast of styles. Finlay's respectful streak continues. Ya know, if PCW was ever gonna host it's own Wargames, Brigade vs Crazy Gang would make for a good one. A distraction, An exposed turnbuckle & his feet on the ropes? Say this for Rose, he man doesn't do half-measures. Young fails to dethrone Owen leaving the Knights with a record of 2-3 over 2 nights. The MXE finally fend off the Odd Couple. But Jarrett & Severn showed they belong with the best teams PCW has to offer. Windham may have bested TNT but can even HE stop OMG?

NWA releases Steve Wright & signs Hiroshi Hase (thought i posted this earlier but i guess i hit the wrong button)
