Little Heart tires out Singh & captures TV gold. These "Season Matches" sound interesting. i'll be curious to see them explained in full later. Congrats to Kennedy for being the first winner. Medusa earns the right to call her shot & calls for a submission match! Luna''s gonna have to get crafty to win this one. Pardue shows a hint of a mean streak to win her season match. The Princess proves the superior cheater. Little Heart scores the pin in the main event to remain a double champ. But the real story may be Richter getting jumped by the Nasty Girls. Could Richter be about to turn over a new leaf? Season 1 is off to a strong start!

Lowblow said he had Manny so i'm not sure what to tell you.

Previously recorded in Atlanta GA @ Center Stage. Originally airing on 3/25/87 With your host "The Dean of professional wrestling" Gordon Solie. (Instead of the opening video we see footage of the NWA's recent event in Fayetteville NC where Big Daddy Ritter defeated Jim Duggan using brass knuckles. We are then shown footage taped after the show while Duggan is being interviewed in the trainers room. Suddenly Ritter, Parsons & Slick burst into the room and assault Duggan culminating in Parsons delivering a Piledriver on the concrete floor! Solie informs the audience that Duggan was rushed to the nearest hospital and that initial reports suggest it could be months before Duggan returns to the ring, if ever) Ranger Ross defeats Executioner with the "Combat Kick" The Celestial Trinity (Zodiac & Jason the Terrible) defeat Mike Hamilton & Jack Williams when Jason layed Williams over his knee & Zodiac came off the second rope with a kneedrop. From the Armory in Gastonia NC it's.... NWA Power Hour! Previously recorded/Airing on 3/24/87 On Commentary:Bob Caudle & Tony Schiavone Ring Announcer: David Crockett (The opening video slams on screen showing quick clips of the top stars set to "Rock Warrior" by The Rods. We close on a shot of NWA World Heavyweight Champion Tully Blanchard before cutting to Caudle & Schiavone at ringside. They welcome us to the show and hype the Crockett Cup which Caudle reminds us is a little over 2 weeks away. Schiavone also reminds us that later this broadcast, we'll hear who the NWA championship commettie have selected to challenge Tully Blanchard for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship on night 2 which will air live on Pay-Per-View before sending it to the ring for the opening match) Match #1 Big Daddy Ritter w/Slick defeats "Stray Cat" Brodie Chase with a powerslam. Slick joins Commentary and says he's already figured out how to spend the Million Dollars after his boy's win the Crockett Cup. When Caudle asks if he means he's figured out how to spend his share of the prize money, Slick pauses briefly before confirming that is indeed what he meant. Commercial-Bob Caudle runs down the NWA house shows for the coming week. Match #2 Spartanburg Vice (Jerry Bryant & Lou Winston) defeat Cyril Feggis & Sterling Archer with the "Spartanburg Special" on Feggis. BC: Wrestling fans, it's my pleasure to have the President of the National Wrestling Alliance, Mr Jim Crockett Jr to announce the challenger for the NWA World Heavyweight Title at night 2 of the Crockett Cup. JC: Thank you Bob. Before I get to the announcement I want to take the opportunity to thank my fellow promotors for agreeing to come together to honor my father who I know would be thrilled beyond words to see the collection of talent lined up for this tournament. BC: I'm sure he would be. But seeing as you mentioned your fellow promotors, I feel I'd be remiss not to ask you about the addition of Bill Watts & the UWF entering the Crockett Cup. JC: I thought you might Bob. The fact is that the end of Mr Watts' tenure as NWA President has been spoken of in detail by myself, Mr Watts & even Les Thorton. I'll say only that Mr Watts & I are two businessmen who agreed to a business arrangement that we expect to be beneficial to both of us. BC: Fair enough sir. Now for the real reason you're here, what everyone wants to know. Who will challenge Tully Blanchard for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship on night 2 of the Crockett Cup? JC: Well Bob, as you can imagine this was a very difficult decision. The championship commettie & myself discussed several viable contenders before coming to the man we agreed to be most deserving. And so it is my privilege to announce that on April 10th, live on Pay-Per-View from the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia South Carolina, Tully Blanchard will defend the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against....."The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes! *Monster pop* Match#3 Giant Haystacks defeats The Intern with a 600 pound legdrop. Commercial+Promo for the Crockett Cup (We see a pre-recorded promo from Adrain Adonis. He says he doesn't blame Savage for being so emotional lately as it must be hard to see someone be so much more "macho" then he could ever be. As for wether he's after the United States Title or Elizabeth? He says why should he choose when he can have both? After all, when he defeats Savage for the title, obviously "Lizzy" will see what's she's been missing out on & will "leap at the chance to get with a real man". He challenges Savage to a match on night 2 of the Crockett Cup so he can claim BOTH his prizes on the biggest stage the NWA has ever had) Match #4 "Super Rookie" Hiroshi Hase defeats Fire with the "Scorpion Death Lock" Commercial+Promo for the Crockett Cup Main event The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Arn & Ole Anderson) w/JJ Dillion defeat Good Plenty (Ray Candy & Sweet Brown Sugar) when Arn pins SBS with a spinebuster. Dillon joined commentary on alternated between boasting that the Andersons were destined to win the Crockett Cup, and ranting about how Dusty Rhodes didn't deserve a world title shot. When Schiavone tried to ask about the seeming tension regarding Ric Flair, Dillon immediately shut the line of questioning down.

The Olympians & The Quebec Connection put in a solid tag team showcase. Scorpio looks ready to snap. Cooley gets a win over Blackwell thanks to Gagne. As if Morgan wasn't dangerous enough, Now he;s got the Sheepherders watching his back. Lightning Strike come up short but earn the champs respect. Baby Doll helps her man retain against Mulligan.
-
Owen continues to show heart against the Knights Templar. Adams scores the Rainbow Warriors first win over the Crazy Gang. Hughes beats the Anvil in what must've been a bruising affair. TDT & Dingo are to wild a trio for Gary Hart International. Jarrett apparently hasn't earned Mr Backlund's respect. Between their tournament win & the result of this six man, Black Gold have an undeniable claim on a tag title match.
-
Steamboat returns with a fire promo. Colon is in for a fight on the 18th. Peterson with a Dynamite victory to get the night rolling. Its a nice touch how nervous Resnick constantly is around Morgan. Its the kind of little thing that really puts him over as a threat. Dick Slater has to be a favorite on the 18th. For what its worth, The Bombers always had MY attention. Busick really is doing the TV title proud. Santana really brought that on himself. Gagne is seriously overstepping & getting in Blackwell's face. Canek has some serious guts meeting Abby in Puerto Rico. Plus he's got Gama waiting in the wings. Lightning Strike is back in the title picture. A all-star six man main event goes off the rails & we end on another scene of Mulligan putting Rich down with the claw.
-
Red & Haynes corral the Bulls. Miller reminds everyone why he leads the Crazy Gang. Regal is starting to crack under the strain of this losing streak. Tenta keeps the momentum going with a pin on Grizzly. Bock claims his first win against Windham's teammates. Though I imagine he'll have a tougher time when he faces a better rested member. Hart excellently executes Hector. OMG & Windham get it on earlier than expected & the champ is worse off for it.
-
Dingo proves capable of learning his lesson. But will it help against Hito? As if the Barr/Eddie feud couldn't get any wilder, now Cactus Jack is involved! Hennig keeps up the momentum with a win over a Wild Bull. Tatum surprisingly gels with the Knights. Though his old buddy Victory is surely helping. Jarrett rebounds with a win but may have earned the ire of Mr Bob Backlund. Aw that Bockwinkel, So classy...yet such a dick. Humongous dissolves any question of his continued dominance by debuting the Powerbomb! With that in his arsenal, he may go from lord of the wasteland to being the MASTER & RULER of the world!

"Super Rookie" Hiroshi Hase defeats Zodiac by DQ when Angel of Death & Jason the Terrible storm the ring & attack Hase. After a brief beatdown Good & Plenty make the save leading to.... The Celestial Trinity (Angel of Death & Jason the Terrible) w/Zodiac defeat Good & Plenty (Ray Candy Sweet & Brown Sugar) a distraction by Zodiac allows Jason to hit a hockey mask assisted headbutt to the back of Brown's head. Road Kill Tour match Stan "The Lariat" Hansen defeats "The Polynesian Prince" Siva Afi with the Lariat. "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes "Hacksaw" & Jim Duggan defeat The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Arn & Ole Anderson) w/JJ Dillion. An odd finish as Ric Flair came down & seemed poised to interject -with Dillon even distracting the ref- before deciding against it to the delight of the Tampa fans! This lead to a back and forth between Flair & Arn before Arn turned around into a football tackle from Duggan for the win! After the bell Flair entered the ring to check on Arn but was intercepted by a irate Ole. A shouting match insued and the two Horsemen seemed about to come to blows when Dillon & a recovered Arn intervened. While the group left together, Flair noticeably lagged behind taking the time to interact with fans on his way.

WWW is making big changes & i am pumped for it! Singh retains the TV title but immediately loses the Tag Titles! But at least she can say she & Bennett squished Morgan. Maxine fails to capture gold then gets choked out by Luna! Nellie puts in a good effort but Moretti is just on another level. Looking forward to your first 2 hour show!
-
Perhaps the beginning of a promising feud between The Glamour Boys & The Chosen Ones. Scorpio seems to be getting fed up. Brown & Dream Machine take turns jumping each other. The Bombers level The Olympians. Fuller's plan blows up in his face. Larry Z & Perez retain in a wild finish.
-
Konga returns with a vengeance as he puts Atlas on the shelf. Sullivan, Konga & Vader make a nightmare trio. I knew it! You can't trust Gilbert! Now Brad's missing his title & his 10k. I would've loved to see Hayes eat that triple dropkick. Ladd loses his managerial license but gets a consolation prize in the form of Watt's seat on commentary! MVC win the gold just in time for the Cup. Dibiase secures the North American title & the Shiek's job. Reed & Lawler go the distance. I feel a rematch coming. Glad to have you back.

Ms Linda joins Commentary & says Dundee & Street will be representing the Six Man Champs in the Crockett Cup. (Schiavone informs the audience that one final promotion has agreed to send teams to compete in the Crockett Cup & that promotion is.... the Universal Wrestling Federation! Fans at home can hear the sound of jaws hitting the floor in the arena as Schiavone explains that while NWA officials were understandably hesitant to work with Bill Watts, the talent being offered was too good to pass up. He then lists the UWF's representatives as... The Miracle Violence Connection of Steve "Dr Death" Williams & Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy...The Freebirds represented by Michael "P.S" Hayes & Buddy "Jack" Roberts...And the world famous team of Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson, The Rock n Roll Express! At this point the crowd shakes off their shock and delivers a HUGE pop) Match #3 "The Polynesian Prince" Siva Afi defeats "Big, Bad" Bubba Backlund with a jumping headbutt. Commercial-Ad for "St Valentine's Day Massacre" on NWA Home Video. (We see a video of Adrian Adonis' advances towards Ms Elizabeth before cutting to a pretaped promo from Randy Savage. He says -well growls- that he'd actually spent a fair amount of time trying to decide if Adonis was *actually* trying to get Elizabeth's attention or if this was only a ploy to get a United States Title match. But then he realized it doesn't matter, because if Adonis is coming for his woman, his title or even both, it all ends the same way... Adonis getting his head RIPPED CLEAN OFF HIS SHOULDERS!) Match #4 Angel of Death defeats The Gladiator with a clothesline from the second rope. The Outlaws were eliminated when Bart charged Armstrong who lowbriged him. Winners: The Southern Boys!

Mulligan gets a win & the upper hand on Rich...again. Bombers seem to have something on their minds. A big tournament to decide who gets the World Title shot at WrestleRock. Morrow seems to be regrouping. Santana gets a nice tv win. Gagne had better not get in Blackwell's way. Le Revolution is on! Kirchner gets the patriotic win in the flag match. Zybysko flubbing the team names got a chuckle out of me. Nice of him to mention the Crockett Cup.I'm sure the World champs being invited just slipped his mind. Speaking of whom, solid win by the Japanese duo. Did anyone actually believe Buzz wasn't gonna accept the challenge to the chain match?....Yeah, me neither. Putski got off to a good start but Colon was too much. But what everyone will be talking about is the return of the Dragon!

Between the debut of Scott Hall, Idol picking a opponent for Race then teaming with Idol to challenge for the tag titles, Des Plaines is in for an eventful night.
