  1. I think Kenny is a fine promo. Certainly much better than the Bucks.
  2. Has Starks even had a match on TV since beating Jericho again? Will Adam Cole be the first to not suffer from the clout vampire?
  3. It's only a story because it's Punk. The talent pool for pro wrestlers on that level is pretty small and they all know each other. AEW/NJ talent pops up backstage at WWE shows when they're in the same area, plenty of WWE people have been backstage and doing dinners with AEW talent. The real sus part is that he was visiting "friends".
  4. I could understand Chavo being miffed that Eddie/Rey is more of the association than Eddie/Chavo, but "Rey is lining his pockets" is the weirdest angle to take considering Rey is a bigger star than Eddie ever was. I would also imagine merch money goes to Eddie's estate, not to Rey.
  5. AKA The Bang Bang Gang is the best TNA rip off name possible for the Bullet Club
  6. Injured before All In, imo. Really hope they don't go for the PIPEBOMB bullshit. This is Phil Brooks talking to Tyson Smith type bullshit.
  7. I imagine he means coke
  8. Sammy has been overpushed and overhyped by the company literally since day one. He's never been over to the extent that he's been pushed, he's just not likeable, his promos suck, and there are probably literally 80 guys working for AEW that can do everything he does in the ring as good or better. I do not understand why Tony (and Excalibur) love him so much.
  9. Jungle Boy really should have dropped all "jungle" stuff a while ago, but definitely after the Christian feud. JR had been trying to transition to Jack Perry since day one and it is well past time to "mature" the gimmick. Personally I think he should switch to tights and perhaps actual boots as part of a glow up. At least just move to Jungle Jack Perry and switch up the gear.
  10. Doing legit sell outs for house shows all around the country and stadiums internationally would suggest rats are jumping on the ship instead of going down with it.
  11. My step-grandpa used to bring up how he went to WWA Indianapolis shows a lot in his younger days and would always bring up Dick The Bruiser and Bobby Heenan when I'd rent wrestling tapes with him.
  12. Wish Bruno/Hansen could have been revisited post 1980. A quick look at cagematch shows there actually was a bit of a run in 1981, including another cage match in Boston. Wonder if that exists on tape anywhere, because Stan Hansen in 1981 is a completely different guy than Stan Hansen in 1976.
  13. I feel like there's been something of a "soft brand split" for most of Rampage's run, in the same way that Smackdown had a group of guys that got a lot more time on SD than Raw in 1999/2000.
  14. What if The Young Bucks vs CM Punk and....Colt Cabana
  15. Also Punk is not the deciding factor of in the red or in the black. AEW is making a profit. WBD is pleased with their ratings. Punk is not a necessity at this stage. He would just be icing on top, but you know, perhaps AEW doesn't need the extra calories.
  16. This is all so stupid. There's still so much drama around Punk and he's not even been in the locker room for 6 months. Why would things be any better with him actually there being his normal self? Guy is clearly not worth the hassle, nor can you trust his body not to immediately fall apart again. Really wish someone would ban Dax from the internet for a few months, too.
  17. All the passive aggressive whiny ass subtweeting type shit should be grounds for instant termination.
  18. Oh I was talking about last year's summerslam
  19. How about Jericho vs Adam Cole
  20. It's wild. Literally no one has benefited from a program with Jericho. Even the ones where he "made a guy a star", they immediately lose any momentum and do nothing for 6-9 months while Jericho goes on to be heavily featured in the next feud with whatever talent is getting hot. And the cycle repeats. It's so blatant.
  21. I'm sure they will just not open one side, much like WWE did for Summerslam
  22. The mustache thing is definitely weird as hell as Vince has been on TV for roughly 50 years and has never even had a hint of stubble.
  23. While I don't think it was intentional subliminal messaging from WWE or even some rogue actor putting the pic in there for nefarious reasons or even to troll, "the Auschwitz Memorial is a business just trying to get attention" is perhaps the wildest take possible on this. Like....what the fuck, guy? Obviously, there is no circumstance where using pictures of Nazi concentration camps is appropriate for pro wrestling in any context, accident or not.
  24. I 100% believe they would not check sources for something that flashes in for half a second in a video package. Especially as they almost always use royalty free and stock images/videos for b-roll stuff. Go look at video packages for HIAC/EC/No Way Out and I bet you'll find that image.
  25. I would have to imagine it was a simple image search of something like "prison yard" and that's a pic that popped up and no one checked or realized because there are thousands of pictures that look just like that when you search. I would also imagine that if people go through old footage that it is part of b-roll that they've used for years and no one noticed. The idea that someone intentionally put a picture of Auschwitz for reasons (?) seems absurd to me.
