  1. I was sports entertained, although the bloom is off the rose with Wardlow. You've got to start putting him in real matches where he's doing surprising cool shit instead of just powerbombs. Ladder match had some real crazy stuff. Nick Jackson really carries the Bucks. Ospreay vs Dax was awesome. Forbidden Door seems weird but I think it was always going to end up being a weird show based on the depth imbalance between the companies. It will be some real shit if Okada and Bryan aren't on the show. Bryan is injured but ZSJ did challenge him for the show so I have to think that wouldn't have happened if Bryan wasn't going to be ready by then. Okada skipping seems much weirder. There's still a week and a half to fill out the card and presumably half the show won't have any angles or storylines heading into it, so just putting cool matches together with what remains of each roster shouldn't be that hard. On the other hand, consider how NJ usually handles joint shows in Japan. Forbidden Door could be eight six/eight man tags.
  2. It'd be truly incredible if Steph left because of this and HHH leaked the story. However, something like this has come up about Vince every few years for like 40 years now, and while the culture and atmosphere is different now, I'm pretty confident nothing will come out of it for Vince.
  3. I've never seen a Shafir match in NXT or AEW that hasn't had a few weird, ugly spots
  4. NJPW Strong doesn't count come on man
  5. Putting Ishii in a 4 way instead of running Ishii vs Eddie or Miro is some real shit
  6. Okada is going to be in a CHAOS/Best Friends tag against Andrade Family Office leftovers
  7. Okada towering over Cole like he's facing Marko Stunt
  8. I'd like to see someone bring back Verne Gagne's running shoulder block back body drop. It kind of evolved into the front chopblock sold by the guy doing a flipping bump, but Verne's version was way cool and would get a big reaction.
  9. I had a torn labrum. Took about a year before I could even fully lift my arm above my head without feeling like something was going to burst.
  10. I think the main complaint about the booking is that there have only been a handful of actual storylines going on, one of them is bad and no one likes it, and an overreliance on tournaments and gimmick matches. Most shows in the past month or two straight up feel like EWR auto generated card. TK is clearly spread too thin and needs some help with booking and creative. You can only do the lights out ECW surprise debut and random international stars with no angles or storylines like 1997 Nitro so many times. I don't think it has anything to do with Dynamite not overtaking Raw in TV ratings.
  11. I think if we're being fair, that applies to all but like maybe 5 people on TV in American pro wrestling in 2022.
  12. The last month or so has been pure EWR booking
  13. I would be amazed if the Owen titles don't get defended
  14. Titles currently active in AEW AEW World Championship AEW Women's World Championship AEW World Tag Team Championship AEW TNT Championship AEW TBS Championship Owen Hart Foundation Men's Championship Owen Hart Foundation Women's Championship ROH World Championship ROH Pure Championship ROH TV Championship ROH Tag Team Championship AAA World Tag Team Championship and now the AEW All Atlantic Championship that features brackets from countries in the Pacific. Not to mention the NJPW titles defended at Forbidden Door. Lmao.
  15. What kind of supplements is Andrade on
  16. Those last 2-3 years of Stampede are far more rematch heavy than modern WWE. There has to be 50 Owen vs Great Gama or Makhan Singh matches.
  17. Dare I say that was the most Dusty-like Cody has ever been, in terms of truly making an audience FEEL
  18. Cody is officially a made man for life in WWE
  19. I am truly stunned that Vince is okay with this in 2022. Seth should probably buy Cody a car for some of these shots.
  20. This seems so, so ill advised and this shit is making me cringe more than all but the very worst deathmatch shit. Maybe the idea was the injury is already as bad as it can get so fuck it. But fuck.
  21. Skip the interim bullshit and just have the injured fighter/wrestler get a title shot when they return to action. No one should be emulating Dana White.
  22. Weirdly it feels like they did a much better job of cycling different talent every week at the start when they had way less talent and names.
  23. They're really not too much anymore. The FCC doesn't really have any say over content on cable. In theory, they could have aired MJF screaming "fucking" without any issue, much like they didn't bleep it out when Moxley said it. It's usually down to sponsors and not wanting to get complaints, but plenty of shows on regular cable say all kinds of words that would have been relegated strictly to subscription channels 15 years ago. Most of the networks doing spooky movies for Halloween season just blur out nudity but otherwise leave everything intact. And they could air the nudity if they wanted to.
