  3. When guys sign with WWE, there is a "chasing the dream" aspect that hasn't been mentioned yet. Guys who are on the indys aren't signing with WWE (or NXT) to be NXT Superstars. They are signing with dreams of being the next Rock, Austin, Bret Hart or Honkytonk Man. I don't know how much Balor made in New Japan, but there will come a time when he will be frustrated they haven't called him up yet. Zayn and Owens aren't in NXT, making significantly less than they were in the Indys, so they can spearhead the developmental league for years. Rollins & Ambrose were vocally unhappy about not being called up for months before they finally hit the main roster. Chris Hero makes much more on the indys and in Japan than he ever made in developmental so this brings up another point... How are the contracts going to be structured for developmental talent who are in a touring company? When they start touring, will WWE pick up the tab for travel and rooms the same way the indys pick up the tab? Do developmental guys get a cut of merchandise (I really don't know)? At what point do guys like Zayn and Owens say "Fuck this" and start making more money in a happier environment outside of WWE? I think for this to work for indy guys, you need to sign two types of guys at all times... guys you expect to move to the main roster and guys who will never have a shot at the main roster but would make good hands until they finally give up. In the first category, you put in guys like Zayn, Balor etc. who really should be on the main roster now. On the 2nd hand, you keep guys like Hero, sign guys like Davey and Eddie (when they had the chance) and then you just lie to talent until it is no longer useful to keep them around since they are chasing the dream. It sounds pretty fucked up when it feels like the purpose of NXT is to be a stepping stone to WWE but you need to create a shadow system (to go along with Loss's shadow company) where you hire bodies to help your real WWE prospects along the way.

Lance Storm made a great point about the idiocy of HHH's trolling of internet fans. In order for the WWE to succeed long term, they need the hardcore, internet savvy fan to engage in their ONLINE NETWORK and support their ONLINE product. He contrasted this with Paul Heyman who made the ECW fans babyfaces and put the fans over, didn't shit on them for not buying what the company was selling. With the exception of Johnny Sorrow and 4 year olds, being bitter at your fans who don't accept your booking decision is a bad long-term strategy in building your network.

Raw is written specifically for Johnny Sorrow. LOL at the CM Punk chants being the only real criticism.

  9. Why did Gallows miss the match?
  10. Ok my stream dropped. It keeps kicking me off my computer. Damn internet.
  11. - They are succeeding at making Moose look like Sid and I mean that in a good way
  12. We are going to do a reaction show for this PPV so we are all in here at PWO. Here is the card for tonight... + “Mr ROH” Roderick Strong vs BJ Whitmer + Maria Kanellis w/Michael Bennett vs O.D.B w/Mark Briscoe + The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Michael Bennett) vs The Addiction (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian) vs The Bullet Club (Doc Gallows & Karl “Machine Gun” Anderson) + Cedric Alexander vs Matt Sydal + Moose vs Mark Briscoe + IWGP Heavyweight Champion “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles vs ACH + ROH World Tag Team Championship reDRagon ( c ) v IWGP Jr Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks + ROH World Television Championship Jay Lethal ( c ) w/ Truth Martini vs Alberto El Patron + High Stakes Four Corner Survival for the ROH World Championship Jay Briscoe ( c ) v Michael Elgin vs Tommaso Ciampa v Hanson Also, watch this ....
  13. Come on Sleaze... if he sounds this way the entire show, I gotta tap out.
  14. Honestly, I don't care what DB wants. I don't care if he is a millionaire. The reason we get wrapped up in this is because we want to see someone pushed to the limits of their talent / appeal. I am not a Dolph Ziggler guy but the way he has been treated has been atrocious. The volume on his push is lower because he isn't as over as DB but it is no less appalling. Just like bad booking ruined 1987-88 Crockett for me as a kid and bad booking ruined 1998-99 WCW for me as a college student. Bad booking is killing my interest in modern WWE.
  15. I am so underwhelmed with the direction of this comapny going into Mania, my only reason for watching is to do the reaction show. I throw in the towel. No more arguing. No more dream booking. Back to watching matches as 2 guys dancing in the ring, completely isolated from the stories that put them there in the first place.
  16. I came into comment on Meltzer ' s article. The entire analysis of Reigns and Bryan is one of the best things he has written. Kris' s mentality that you need to lower Bryan is still stupid. When you get the biggest response of the night, you don't put that guy in a meaningless mid card program
  17. Oh Christ, they are sending Bryan out there to give Roman the big pat on the back. I was actually liking "bitter, mad I am lost" Bryan for about 30 seconds.

I'm not as surprised by Vince's appearance (which was likely airbrushed a good deal - I mean, I'm not saying the dude isn't in great shape, but from what I know about magazine/commercial photography, if the public is seeing it, it's been touched up), as I am about the ridiculous word choice. "Better than ever at 69"? If I read the article, is that fact confirmed by Linda? If yes, I think I taste my lunch coming back up. Meltzer absolutely BURIED this magazine cover the other day. Said Vince needs to grow up, reassess his priorities and called it sad and pathetic. Funny hearing him get so worked up about it. It's that crazy bastard Vince - what can you do? Meltzer needs to be taken to task for his anti-steroid geriatric shaming.
  19. Boo fucking hoo. He can groan and mumble under his breath but when it is his turn to defend the actions of the WWE, he can't put it all together because the voices are raining down on him? Come on man!!!! I want Dylan to respond to this. If you think Daniel Bryan has peaked, and there is no longer any money to be made, then yes, let him job until he goes back to raising sorghum or whatever it is. The problem is that most Bryan backers think that their is still money and lots of it to be made with the guy. Bryan and Reigns shouldn't have met yet but this is the position you are stuck in when you decide a guy is ready and not following the fans. I never got the Sid love but he was fucking over. Was the WWF stupid to push Sid as a main eventer? No, they should go with the hot hand. Daniel Bryan is the hot hand. It just so happens he is also the best worker they have. I agree with the sentiment but with a slight difference... Rusev isn't jobbing, Harper is one of the job guys.
  20. Having Stewart back Bryan would theoretically be fine except it is as likely as Bryan vs. Rusev. If anything, I see them attaching Stewart to Orton and Rollins exclusively. Also, where has it been reported that Stewart was going to get in the ring? I think he would be an outside guy like Trump was, if anything. With that said, still a horrible use of your most over babyface (which is diminishing by the day) and the one guy guaranteed to have a good match with nearly every single person on the roster.
  21. That sounds incredibly horrible and would be a horrible use of Bryan.
  22. The Fast Lane talk is now moving from the PPV to discussion on the Mania card. We talked about it briefly on the post-game show but this is what Mania is shaping up to be so far... Lesnar vs. Reigns Cena vs. Rusev Rollins vs. Orton HHH vs. Sting Undertaker vs. Wyatt Divas match Battle Royal? (If not, what wacky multi-man match do you do?) I am guessing they do some sor tof tag title match even if it is another multi-man on the pre-show That still leaves DB out in the cold... your hottest babyface in the company and best worker in some thrown together meaningless match. No singles match for Dolph Ziggler who is currently like your 2nd or 3rd most over guy. Do they do the Dean Ambrose-Bad News Barrett payoff even though the match sucked last night? Do Stardust and Goldust get to do their dream Mania match that nobody cares about? Is Sheamus stuck in Battle Royal mode again like last year? Looking at the card so far, what a shitty looking card. Cena-Rusev should be hot. Lesnar-Reigns could go either way... the HHH boring as piss route or does it go Lesnar-Cena where they just bomb the hell out of each other? Rollins vs. Orton could be hot but I don't really care about the match. HHH... Sting... Taker... Yuck.
  23. The issue here is we are shitting on his funhouse. For whatever reason, Johnny enjoys the product as presented. I actually gave the wrestling on the show a thumbs up but anyone who thinks that they are booking shows to maximize profit OR to truly entertain the fans is fucking ignorant.
  24. It's easy to look good against Daniel Bryan.
