  1. No, I am saying that you are picking and choosing the arenas you are using in your example. You are ignoring Murdoch's runs in bigger loops. "Hahahaha... he didn't play MSG. He played Bumfuck, TX". Oh... he also played Houston and New Orleans and Orlando and OKC and Tokyo etc.
  2. No, I am saying that if you are making fucking cash and drawing, you are good. Also, what is the Kansas City loop or Central States loop? Also, if the only territory that matters is WWWF, or the ones Parv wants to push as important, lets just induct guys from those three territories.
  3. This idea of less important promotions actually is funny to me when referring to the territories. That is some fucking snobbery bias bullshit right there. I get it that the WWWF, MId Atlantic and GCW all appear as heavyweights in the 80s where all three had a mark on cable TV but I don't buy that they were the elite companies in the 70s when almost every company in wrestling was wrestling on the same model of a loop of big and small cities and local TV.
  4. They really should turn Cena heel.

    Christian

I enjoy post TNA Christian but pre-TNA Christian isn't somebody I would go out of my way to watch and it isn't a style I really care for. Too any other WWE guys I would rather watch.
  6. Not going to lock the thread but it does reinforce the idea that the initial whining was sour grapes and that the issue is not a PWO problem.
  7. I try to play devil's advocate and question Kris' s hyperbole but the Bix and Kris tag team did enough to convince me he should have gone in with the initial class.
  8. Ok who? Enlighten me.

    LA Park

He'll be on my list somewhere. Not High End Luchador Ranking BUT Some Where In THE Bottom half.
  10. The reality is Kris had to make the historical argument. I can only make an argument for match quality but that isn't what Murdock would go in for anyway.
  11. Kevin Sullivan reinforced the idea on his MLW podcast that the plan was for Hogan and that he had people trying to talk him out of it. Sullivan said he basically babysat Hogan all day and night before the PPV to make sure he didn't get cold feet.
  12. He has Admin powers. Now a pony WITH lazers.... that would fucking rule.

    Samoa Joe

Can somebody point me to any Joe TNA matches in 2005 and 2006 besides the Angle series and the 3 Way Dance?
  14. Right... I would rather slaughter a lamb than watch another Dory match voluntarily.

    Vader

Shit, that 1986 Leon White vs. Hansen match is great. That was a great match but I looked at that like the master training the student. It felt like a Stan Hansen match throughout the whole thing. Leon was game and deserves credit but that was all Hansen.
  16. Now I feel vindicated. Fucking lasers.

    Vader

Yep, Vader was having great matches as early as 1989. He didn't start his great run with the Sting feud.
  18. True story... after the first Punk - Bryan match in 2012, I let Punk know he should request a best of 99 series with Bryan and just wrestle each other the rest of the year. He told me he was lobbying for a long Bryan feud. They had such confidence in the both of them that they inserted Kane in the mix.
  19. the thing about Jumbo is how he was able to grow with the times. Him and Fujinami are similar in how they both adapted to the changing winds. Fujinami went from the best junior to excellent tag machine to top heavyweight throughout the decade, never missing a step. Jumbo worked the style of the times in the 70s, 80s and into the 90s without missing a beat. Matwork and world title matches? Check. Wild bloody brawls? Check? Stiff, violent main events? Check. Great tag wrest;er? Check. He was also great in his role as ace and as Baba's second. Jumbo played the role he needed to play in all phases of his career INCLUDING opening old geezer before he passed.
  20. Yes, you can nominate both. They are two separate polls.
  21. It isn't really that simple anymore. With cell phones and I Pads providing auto-correct, people can post some weird shit.
  22. Great posts so far. I may have to do a podcast on this subject.
  23. Did one person ever complain about that match not making it? It isn't even something we considered for the errata. Also, after the success of the New Japan set and the reinforcement of people shitting on those historical picks, we wouldn't have put it on amyway. Every person on the committee gets personal picks. We didn't need one for the Malenko match. We all enjoyed it.
  24. That can be done but "Big Bad Bill is Sweet William Now" will have to be playing at the end.
