  1. I'll throw in Fantastics vs. Midnights from the first Clash for the US Tag Titles.
  2. The days of a real world champion, by most of our definitions, are long over. When pretty much every promotion is able to be viewed on a national or international basis, there's no need for one. That's why the WWE pretty much killed the idea of the Undisputed Champion defending against both RAW and SD wrestlers after four months.
  3. According to Rajah, Alex Shelley wants to go right to the WWE main roster and not do anything in developmental. I have a feeling that's going to rub a few people the wrong way.
  4. I just watched this entire show, and Styles is fucking horrible. He must have supersonic hearing, because it seemed like every other thing out of his mouth was "I could hear that all the way from here!"
  5. So ROH has started giving godawful nicknames to their roster members: "The Outlaw" Charlie Haas "Killer" Kenny King (KKK!) "Ruthless" Rhett Titus
  6. For as much, deserved, flak as Michael Cole gets, he had some funny comments during the main event. When he commented that Big Johnny "Looked much better on the video tapes" the boys and I all lost it.
  7. Someone needs to make gifs of the two Cena fans in the front row after the Show turn, the big guy in the green Cena shirt, and the kid in the black polo.
  8. The 1994 Stud Stable in WCW were awesome! The Hangmen 3 in ROH was pretty bad.
  9. You mean the one about how everyone in the business without exception is on something? "Does this make logic?"
  10. Foley didn't have much of a role did he? All I'm remembering is a single promo at the NYC show.
  11. I can only think of two production errors offhand on WWE TV in over ten years. A RAW episode where they displayed an on screen graphic for a match that "hadn't been booked" yet. And a couple of years ago when they accidentally gave away Melina's return by playing her music and titantron video too early.
  12. I'm not Bix, obviously, but I haven't heard a thing about the Summer of Punk DVD other than the fact that ROH released one. Do tell, Rovert, how bad is it?
  13. Boy, is ROH cashing in on their former stars. First they release a Joe vs. Punk DVD, featuring their three title matches, their 2003 singles, and their 2005 Straight Shootin' interview. Start tomorrow, Punk vs. Danielson will be available to download on their website. It's smart for them to get some mileage out of their former roster members who went on to bigger and better things, but you'd think they'd put the same amount of effort and energy into creating a genuine buzz for ROH and getting some new fans.
  14. So Dave now says Brock's backstage blowup after the show was a work to convince people putting over Cena was the right idea. I've been somewhat vocal here in saying that it wasn't the worst idea in the world, especially the way they actually went about actually putting Cena over. But, someone should remind them how much these "work the boys" angles helped WCW.
  15. PWInsider is saying that Brock had a fit backstage because he thought Cena double crossed him with the promo afterwards, and the plan was supposed to be Cena getting carried out on a stretcher, so the impression was that Cena won the battle and Brock won the war.
  16. Only once that I know of, he refused to lose the IWGP Title to Tanahashi in 2006. Of course, that's provided you trust Mrs. Scott Norton.
  17. The way I put it my best friend last night, Brock losing the match is pretty much a footnote. Brock kicked Cena's ass in a way that's never been seen before, he busted him open. Brock may have put Cena on the shelf with his left arm being hurt. Oh, BTW, Cena wound up winning.
  18. The guys I was watching with saw Cena clearly mouth to one of the doctors "my left arm is fucked" and if you watch while he's celebrating and cutting his promo, it was swollen up huge and he was barely moving it. I'm thinking his promo about being gone for a bit is because he knows he's badly hurt and will be out for some time.
  19. I'm sure that Flair's debut is going to be earmarked for this, but I'd also like to recommend the opening of the PTW episode that featured Flair's debut, with Heenan berating the whole crew in nervous anticipation of Flair's arrival.
  20. I would think so too. There's a story about Kerry's foot and the WWF trying to use it to get Kerry kicked off the Superclash PPV in one of the '88 WONs that Loss recapped.
  21. http://www.rspwfaq.net/2012/04/texas-tornado.html So Kerry "lucked" into the IC Title, which he won only a few weeks after his TV debut.
  22. Don't hold out on us, Will!
  23. I'm sure Vince knows he exists. It was rumored a few years back that Gabe tried getting on the WWE writing team. And, Stevie Richards name dropped Gabe on the Rise and Fall of ECW DVD.
  24. ECW @ Schenectady, NY - Sportsplex - November 10, 2000 (1,000) Balls Mahoney defeated Mike Bell Nova pinned Bilvis Wesley (w/ Prodigy & the Prodigette) with the Kryptonite Krunch Tony Devito & Angel defeated Christian York & Joey Matthews when Devito pinned York after Angel hit York with a chair behind the referee's back New Jack defeated the Blue Boy (w/ Jasmine) following a chairshot off the top; the match came about from the Blue Boy & Jasmine appearing as guests for Lou E. Dangerously's Danger Zone Kid Kash pinned Simon Diamond with a tornado DDT ECW Tag Team Champions Little Guido & Tony Mamaluke defeated Super Crazy & Tajiri when Mamaluke pinned Crazy after Sal E. Graziano interfered and hit a powerbomb on Crazy Danny Doring, Roadkill, & the Sandman defeated EZ Money, Julio Dinero, & Chris Hamrick (w/ Elektra) when Roadkill pinned Hamrick with a splash ECW World Champion Steve Corino (w/ Jack Victory) pinned CW Anderson (w/ Cyrus) with the Old School Expulsion Jerry Lynn & Scott Hall (mystery partner) defeated Justin Credible (w/ Francine) & Rhino when Lynn pinned Credible with a tombstone. When Hall came out a Lynn's partner, the place went nuts! The six man tag with Sandman was fun too, it was obvious the boys were having a good time. At one point Sandman hits a big chop on Dinero and then yells out "That hurt me! I know that hurt him!"
  25. I can see why people think the Unbreakable Three way is the best match of all time. It's the main event of a PPV that has an undercard of absolute dogshit. But, I think both the August and December Joe vs. Styles matches are better.
