  1. Vince getting pissed at him for wanting time off is what led to him losing the title to HTM. I heard somewhere, I forget where, that he'd told Vince that Bonnie was pregnant long before and wanted to delay the Savage match but Vince was adamant that it be at WM3.
  2. The eight foot claim was for Giant Gonzalez aka El Gigante.
  3. I very much enjoyed the show, although I thought the ending of the main event was complete horse shit. Steamboat still has it!

  6. I'm pretty sure that "I'm not feeling it" referrs to the first UT/Lesnar match at Unforgiven '02.

  8. It's not supposed to be racist (unless the Simpsons episode implies it, I've never seen it), just somewhat surprising and funny that he didn't know the origin of St. Patricks Day. I learned about it when I was in elementary school, but I lived in a town with a lot of Irish people and heritiage, so I sort of took it for granted that it was fairly well known.
  9. Being Irish as well, I think you might be right, Sek. Unless it was some subtle attempt at sarcasm, and Scooter isn't the subtle type.
  10. I hear Big Show let the cat out of the bag on VH-1 that it was gonna be Edge/Show/Cena for the World Title.
  11. HHH actually acknowledged that they were married in real life on TV and referred to her as the mother of his kids. You're right, it doesn't make much sense.

  13. Wouldn't No Mercy '07 in the LMS match be Orton's big win over HHH? Has anyone heard anything about Cena/Austin at WM? I haven't, but there are posts on DVDVR mentioning it. I'd dig Edge/Rey at WM and I could see them doing Edge/Christian too.
  14. I'd like to see Edge stay on SD and HHH go back to RAW, he's got the history with Steph and the McMahons, plus it can be explained as Vicky giving him a release from SD (they set the precedent with Matt Hardy leaving ECW that way). That sets up HHH/Orton for WM. And I'm sure they'll add Cena (they've got a habit of doing that the past few years). The problem that leaves is that doesn't leave a big SD main event. I suppose they could do Edge/UT again, but that's pretty played out IMO. Jeff is busy with Matt, and I'm blanking as to anyone else they could use in that role.
  15. Granted, I haven't watched a full episode of RAW in months and haven't watched SD period in even longer, so I'm not quite up to date on what's going on. But did anyone see Edge's loss and win coming at all? I thought it was weird that they put mid carders like Kofi and Knox in the Chamber match, but I wouldn't have called Edge winning the World Title in a million years. I figured that Edge would either win his match and then lose the WWE Title to HHH at WM, or he'd lose it in the Chamber to HHH and then challenge him at WM.
  16. I honestly think people are overreacting a bit by saying how it's such a huge waste to put him on ECW. The brand split hasn't truly meant anything since 2007 when they stopped running the single brand PPVs. The move to ECW is probably to get him back into the swing of things as far as the traveling and to work off any ring rust from his time off. And there's no reason why he couldn't work a month long program with Swagger and then go to RAW or SD.
  17. Re: Flair/Luger/Sting. This is the only scenario I can see playing out: Luger wins the title at WrestleWar. Luger retains over Flair in the cage at Capitol Combat. Flair challenges Luger at Clash 11 but Sting makes his return and costs Flair the title. Sting/Flair still wrestle at the GAB, but who does Luger wrestle? Sid? Windham? I'm lost for a good opponent for him. Halloween Havoc can be used for the War Games: The Four Horsemen vs. Luger/Sting/Pillman/Zenk (Steiners were feuding with the Nasty Boys at this time). I'd actually give the Horsemen the win after some sort of mis communication between Sting and Luger, which leads to . . . . Luger turns heel on Sting at Clash 13. Sting wins the title from Luger at Starrcade. Instead of jumping right into Flair/Sting in '91, WCW could have brought back Muta for a spell to work a program with Sting over the title.

  19. He's said several times before that it was Orndorff turning on Hogan that turned him into a huge fan, which was 2 or 3 months after Wrestlemania 2. He can't even keep his own memories straight, and people are supposed to trust him as an authority?
  20. No, you're not the only one, Bob. I figured he'd have been released a good three or four years ago. Has he had any role on WWE TV, other than occasional jobber, since he was Bischoff's Chief of Staff in 2003?
  21. TNA will continue to make asinine decisions both in the booking of their shows, and on the business end in regards to who they sign.
  22. Not trying to dig up the argument again or anything, but I came across an episode of WOL with Tony as a guest on it, and this was actually brought up. Tony's take on it was that he'd been talked to by other wrestlers and promoters before and told to get on the gas (while not being blatantly to get on the gas), and that he didn't get that vibe from JR at all.
  23. It's actually not a bad film, it's a mindless waste of a couple hours. I haven't seen it in over ten years, but I did enjoy it as a child. Now, as an adult, I can understand the underlying message of the film, that being the nice guy wrestler going against the evil TV Station owner, aka Vince McMahon vs. Ted Turner.
  24. I don't recall that particular scene in the movie, but no, Hansen definitely was involved in some of the wrestling scenes.
  25. I've been wondering if you were going to be recapping the issue with that quote and be mentioning it. Since it more or less kick started Mick's career.
