  1. The Ebony Express still pull out the win even after a change in opposition. Moadid makes a frightening mark. The Can-Ams get a chance to show off. Wild Bill takes the easy way out. The fans back in Memphis are really gonna let Hart have it after they saw him get painted yellow. A bloody Rick survives the Butcher. The DC finally get their definitive win. Did we just witness the Dallas screwjob? Sullivan shows off his technique before his men run down. Jack & Vader just became the most legit tag team in the USWA. Hart never did know to quit when he was behind. Still a nice father-son victory. Dillon may have cost his man the title but Luger leaves the champion lying in a heap.
  2. The Bombers v Guerreros unfortunately didn't really settle anything. Blaze burns his rivals. Payne makes Burke submit. Now that makes an impression. The Bodies retain in a barnburner. Maybe it's a good thing Tully's retired cause he did fuck all the whole match then he's the one to give up.
  3. Tasha may have just dug herself a deep hole putting hands on the new personnel, Wild Dog toeing the line by demanding a TV title shot but he & Morton reach a gentlemen's agreement. Tasha & PiP manage to slither away but Blue almost had her.
  4. Candido really should've let that nickname roll off his back when he had the chance. Aloha Spectacular promises two amazing night of action to go along with what's sure to be stunning scenery.
  5. WrestleWar is seriously heating up. Sid proves he could turn the tides in WarGames all by himself. The Dangerous Alliance is really shining lately. They're heading to something big.
  6. The Bunkhouse Boys are calling everybody out! Thunderstruck continues to prove himself. TCB bail the Iceman out but the Rock n Roll RPMs are there to rescue Jammer. The Japanese trio are on a tear. Canek is back and all the Champions had better keep an eye out. Arcidi thinks Norton can go straight to the top. Austin returns and helps his Idol's retain. Great recap of the road to WarGames.
  7. No Prime Time this week due to scheduling conflicts so here are the results of WWF Weekly TV. RAW 2/9/91 "Thrilling" Tom Brandi defeats Horace the Psychopath with a diving body press. Horace bodyslams a member of the Ring crew in his anger. Mean Gene's Update reveals that at WrestleMania VII, March 22 from the Richfield Coliseum in Richfield Ohio will see "America the Beautiful" performed by the one of a kind Willie Nelson! Col Debeers defeats Tom King with the face first pile-driver. Before he even got into the ring, Debeers got into a verbal altercation with a black audience member and he got so visible angry at the man for....some reason that security took the liberty of getting between them. Jake "The Snake" Roberts defeats Tony Burton with the DDT. The Texas Outlaws join Sean Mooney, Funk tells Mooney to keep his Yankee trap shut because there's Outlaw business that need's handling. He's been watching Bart and Fernandez bicker like a couple of schoolgirls and he's sick and tired of being sick and tired of it. Says he spoke to WWF President Jack Tunney and he's gotten them a match, against each other at the next Saturday Night's Main Event on Feb 22 from the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland Maine and he expects them to settle their differences like MEN. And as for Murdoch, since he's the only one acting like he's got some sense he'll be taking on Tito Santana at that same SNME and he'll be the one making sure that Mexican jumping bean doesn't make it to Richfield. "Dangerous" Dan Spivey with "The Doctor of Style" Slick defeats Len Wagner in just 44 seconds with the Powerbomb. Wrestling Challenge 2/10/91 Haku with "Sensational" Sherri Martel defeats Alan Reynolds with the "Tongan Death Grip" Lord Alfred Hayes' Special Report informs the audience that at WresteMania Dan Spivey will take on Bad New Brown and if Brown wins, he gets Slick in the ring for five minutes! "The Boy from New York City" Jimmy Valiant w/"The Guiding Light" Capt Lou Albano defeats Dale Morrisson with the "Groovin' elbow". The Genius defeats Peter Whatson with the "Honor Roll" Billy Jack Haynes defeats Mr.E with the Full Nelson. The Twin Towers (One Man Gang & King Kong Bundy) w/Slick defeat The Spirit Warriors (Wahoo McDaniel & Navajo Warrior) after Bundy hit NW with the "Avalanche" then talked in OMG who hit the 747.
  8. Bedlam officially calls out the Final Boss. I think Hammer just met his two biggest fans. Badd might not be so pretty after Zeus gets done with him. Good job making a family friendly version of Val Venis work. Well Bagwell's won half the crowd over at least. Thou shalt not mess with the Dudley's! Vampire Warrior already seems displeased with his latest disciples. The New Breed call out the Gunns and they'll get them next week with the winners becoming GWF's first tag champs.
  9. Taylor & Kelly are actually a pretty nice fit when I think about it. Wild Bill is in for a wild night against Link. I know we're heading to Texas but that doesn't change the fact that Memphis is probably the only territory that could pull off a match where the loser gets painted yellow. A Texas Death match against Abby? Who the hell did Rick piss off? No DQ is exactly the kind of environment that the DC could thrive in. Lots of talent in that TC title 4 way and a great showing of the international talent the USWA has to offer. Between Sullivan challenging Scott and Vader & Cactus going after the Road Warrriors the 26th could be a huge night for Soul-less. Never heard of a tag variant of the Texas Death stip but I'm sure Rich, Gilbert and the Lawlers can work magic. Having watched WCW growing up I have plenty of memories of Savage & Luger going at it. So I know Dallas is in for a treat.
  10. Good thing BDP was there to prevent Tasha from making their situation even worse. Though Considering Misty Blue has arrived on the scene, I still wouldn't call it good for her. Lil Frank wins the battle of West Virginia's oddest wrestlers. Wild Dog makes clear that regardless of his relationship with Shane, he's coming for the TV title.
  11. Show opens with a huge reveal of Colon as the new International champion. Unless i'm forgetting something this is his first title in the AWA and considering how much blood he's shed for Verne over the years he's more than earned it. TCB live up to their name. The Heavenly Bodies look high on their own supply. Rough night for Blaze. 32 men will face off over the course of a month to claim the honor of being AWA world champion. Kokina easily backs up Adnan's threats. A huge TV main event leads to the War Games teams in a massive pull apart brawl.
  12. After that performance in San Francisco, I think Richards may have just tanked any chance he ever had of joining the Playboy Club. Guido may have lost to Sandman but he's starting to chip away at Scorpio.
  13. For the version of the WWF i'm running, i'm going to go with MJF.
  14. Major hype created for WrestleWar at the announcement of War Games pitting Sting's Squadron vs Sid's Psychos. More Hennig v Steamboat? Yes please. Rude & Koloff are gonna tear each other apart. Better reinforce the whole building for when Doom takes on Demolition.
  15. Originally airing 2/4/1991 on HBO. We start with a match from the most recent episode of Wrestling Challenge which sees High Energy (Boko B Ware & Tom Zenk) defeat The Bolsheviks (Ivan Koloff & Boris Zhukov) with steroid sunsetflips. Footage of Tito Santana's celebration with the majority of the face roster after winning the Royal Rumble is shown. Gorilla confirmed,s that barring a title change, Santana will face Terry Funk for the WWF Championship at WrestleMania VII live on PPV from the Richfield Coliseum in Richfield Ohio. "Dangerous" Dan Spivey defeats Mike Williams with an over the shoulder Powerbomb. Interestingly Slick is out with Spivey and in a split screen promo, SLick says he promised to rebuild Black Diamond Enterprises and it starts with bringing in Spivey to finally rid of of that "bald headed bum" Bad New Brown, It continues next week where he promised the return of the Twin Towers. Clips of Black Bart eliminating Manny Fernandez from the Royal Rumble is shown. Gorilla praises Bart for standing up for himself while Ventura wants to hear what the King of the Outlaws has to say about this. Tugboat defeats Joe Turner in a match from Wrestling Challenge. Still shots from the Loser Leaves Town Steel Cage match are shown. Due to the excessive amount for blood, many are in black and white. Greg "The Hammer" Velentine makes Tom King submit to the figure four. The Killer Bees w/Capt Lou defeat Mike Wallace & The Minotaur with the "Stinger" on Wallace. Minotaur is enraged after the match and flattens Wallace with "Running with the Bulls" 'Thrilling" Tom Brandi defeats The Iron Sheik with a flying body press in a match from the recent show in Madison Square Garden. Feature Match. The Northen Invasion (Chris Benoit, Dino Bravo & Kerry Brown) w/'Le Commandant" Frenchy Martin defeat The Commonwealth (Dynamite Kid, Danny Boy Collins & Biff Wellington) when a pier six brawl allowed Brown & Bravo allowed the latter to pin Welington.
  16. The Gunns hit the bulls eye in their debut but run afoul of the New Breed. Bagwell shines in defeat. Angel finds out that Abby earned his reputation the hard way. Zeus probably got the biggest pop of his career when he finally ended that match with Haystacks. Big night for Bedlam. He puts down big Bill and positions himself as the next challenger for Tenryu.
  17. Great write-up for what was quite literally a one match show. Morton definitely owes Wild Dog one after that.
  18. Spaldoni said the link wasn't working so i've gone ahead and copy/pasted the Rumble match instead.
  19. I would've loved seeing 25 mins of Sreamboat/Pillman on free TV. Pretty Wonderful provide a frightening transition from Main Event to the Clash. Steve is clearly upset and it costs in in the US tag title match. R.I.P Vega. Pillman's injury leaves a vacancy that the Dream readily fills. Marty's Giant surprise wasn't enough to take down Doom. Hennig wins the US title in a somewhat questionable call by the ref. I'm a little confused by the battle royal. Did DDP grabbing the cash count? Or did Davey Boy stopping him from reaching the floor allow someone else to get it? Great finish to the world title match. There can be no doubt who rules the world.
  20. Shamrock barely manages to hold down Suzuki. Onita could be poised for a breakout year. Funaki may have gotten the win but I'm sure Kawada got immense respect for being willing to fight even as he was bleeding out. Maeda slays the Dragon to remain the Undisputed World Champion.
  21. Free for All match. The Commonwealth (Biff Wellington & Danny Boy Collins) w/Dynamite Kid defeat The Russian Pitbulls w/Ivan Koloff with a dropkick/German suplex combo. Airing live on PPV from the Baltimore Arena... The World Wrestling Federation proudly presents, the first major stop on the Road to WrestleMania... King's Court match. Jerry "The King" Lawler(k) defeats Silver King after one too many high risk attempts allowed Lawler to hit SK with the Pildriver. WWF Intercontinental Tag Team Championships. The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Saggs) defeat The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers)(c) when a pier six brawl allowed Saggs to hit Fulton with a tag title belt letting Knobbs pick up the pin. WWF Intercontinental Championship. "The Walking Natural Disaster" Earthquake w/"Le Commandant" Frenchy Martin defeats "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan(c). Frenchy tried to hit Duggan with the Canadian flag but Duggan intercepts and decks him. While the ref is dealing with that, Earthquake grabs the flag and cracks Duggan in the ribs. He sets the flag on the apron before the ref turns around and he hits the "Earthquake" splash. WWF Tag Team Championship. The Ronin (Kensuke Sasaki & Hiro Hase)(c) defeat Sensational Power (Hercules & Warlord)w/"Sensational" Sherri Martell when Hercules tried to bodyslam Hase but Hase held on and turned it into an inside cradle. Loser Leaves Town WWF Championship Steel Cage match. Terry Funk(c) defeats "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes in a bloody, all out war. It was a race to escape with Funk climbing over the top as Rhodes tried to drag himself out the door. It was neck and neck until Manny Fernandez Rand down and rammed the door into Rhodes' head stopping him cold and allowing Funk to drop to the floor. Main Event. 30 man Royal Rumble match. #1 Dynamite Kid #2 Chris Benoit A tense yet technical opening to this year's Rumble full of stiff strikes and snug suplexes that ends with the arrival of… #3 Greg Valentine The Hammer is back! And he’s not playing favorites as he hammers away on both men. #4 Wahoo McDanel Knife edged chops for everyone! He eventually ends up throwing hands with Valentine allowing DK & Benoit to refocus on each other. #5 Tito Santana A flurry of armdrags and dropkicks to liven things up. Still no eliminations though. #6 Disco Inferno Kid seems more interested in dancing than fighting. Valentine squares up to him and we get the entertaining image of Inferno trying to coax the Hammer into dancing with him. Valentine looks at him like he’s lost his mind and chucks him out. Disco Inferno has been eliminated. #7 Iron Sheik Sheiky baby is in and things settle down a little until… #8 One Man Gang The mood changes as the big OMG enters the ring. The first thing he does is head over to where DK & Benoit are fighting near the ropes and heave them both over. Dynamite Kid and Chris Benoit have been eliminated. Sheik offers a high five but OMG plants him with a clothesline before sending him over. Iron Sheik has been eliminated. #9 Ranger Ross The US army ranger’s arrival does nothing to halt the rampage of 469 pounder. #10 Tugboat Finally someone who can go somewhat toe-to-toe with Gang allowing everyone else to regroup. #11 Jimmy Valiant The Boy from New York City grooves his way to the ring and starts using his unusual offense to down several of the men left in the field. #12 Bob Orton The Ace makes his mark as he nails an already stunned Wahoo with a lariat to send the Chief flying. Wahoo McDaniel has been eliminated. Tugboat tries to capitalize by rushing Orton but the Ace is too quick and low bridges the big man. Tugboat has been eliminated. #13 Tom Brandi Brandi wastes no time living up to his “Thrilling” moniker as he hits a dropkick that sends Greg Valentine from the ring. Greg Valentine has been eliminated. #14 Bad News Brown Brown pounces on OMG as soon as he enters the ring. Seeing the massive man staggered for once, all the other entrants come together and, with Brown leading the way, manage to get OMG out. One Man Gang has been eliminated. #15 Dino Bravo The Canadian strongman puts an end to the good vibes tha OMG’s elimination caused by muscling Valiant over the top. Jimmy Valiant has been eliminated. #16 Brutus Beefcake. The Barber hits the ring and is looking to strut & cut his way to the main event of WrestleMania. In the midst of his entrance, Bob Orton goes after Bad News Brown but gets caught with the “Ghetto Blaster” sending the Ace over the top. Bob Orton has been eliminated. #17 Dan Spivey Spivey hits the ring and immediately targets Brown who, perhaps taken by surprise at being targeted by the 6 '7 Floridian, is thrown out soon after. Bad News Brown has been eliminated. #18 Tatanka The war dance is on in full force and he downs several men with chops right to the top of the head. #19 King Kong Bundy The Walking Condominium has returned and he’s bigger than ever! Avalanche on Ross who can’t even put up a fight as he’s tossed from the ring. Ranger Ross has been eliminated. Tatanka with the rapid fire chops and runs the ropes but gets bodies by Bundy who scoops him up and tosses him. Tatanka has been eliminated. #20 The Ultimate Warrior He zeroes in on Bundy and he gets the big man rocking though can’t quite get him out. #21 Dustin Rhodes He collects Santana and they come over to help the Warrior and the trio manage to get the Walking Condominium over the top. King Kong Bundy has been eliminated. #22 Black Bart The tough Texan starts throwing bombs at anything that moves. #23 Nikolai Volkoff The Lithuanian Giant is in and does his damdest to impose his will on everyone still in the ring. #24 Jimmy Snuka Big pop for the Superfly. #25 Col Debeers The imposing South African officer certainly gets the crowd’s attention and he cements it when he dispatches Volfoff. Nikolai Volkoff has been eliminated. #26 Manny Fernandez Fernandez goes over to where Rhodes and Bart are brawling and assists in dumping the Natural over. Dustin Rhodes has been eliminated. Bart looks to celebrate but Fernanez is lecturing him for some reason. Fernandez gets fed up and slaps Bart who rears back and floors him with a stiff forearm before throwing him over. Manny Fernandez has been eliminated. #27 Billy Jack Haynes Lots of power moves as you’d expect. #28 Berzerker The wildman is in his element and he has a big boot for anyone who gets near. Tom Brandi is one such victim and gets tossed soon after. Tom Brandi has been eliminated #29 Andre the Giant Big headbutts for everyone (except Snuka). #30 Jake Roberts Beefcake is squaring off with Dino Bravo who muscles him over the top rope. Brutus Beefcake has been eliminated Berzerker and Bart start throwing hands which ends with Bart getting lifted up and over. Black Bart has been eliminated Berzerker is pounding his chest in triumph but turns around into a clothesline by the Warrior that sends him out as well. Berzerker has been eliminated Jake Roberts rallies a few others together to gang up on Andre and the 8th Wonder can’t hang on. Andre the Giant has been eliminated Haynes has Bravo in trouble when Debeers come up from behind and dumps them both over. Billy Jack Haynes and Dino Bravo have been eliminated Snuka catches Debeers with a crossbody but unfortunately for him his own momentum carried him out with the Colonel. Jimmy Snuka and Col Debeers have been eliminated Final Four: Tito Santana, Dan Spivey, Ultimate Warrior & Jake Roberts Roberts and Spivey strike up an alliance and target the Warrior with Santana too exhausted to lend a hand. Ultimate Warrior has been eliminated. Spivey, seeing Santana having to use the ropes to hold himself up, gets cocky and charges but Santana gathers his wits and performs a low bridge. Dan Spivey has been eliminated It’s down to Tito Santana, who entered at #5, and Jake Roberts who entered at #30. Roberts pounced on Santana, determined to press his advantage. He sets up for the DDT near the ropes but Santana grabs his legs and lifts him up and over the top rope. Roberts is able to grab the rope and stand up on the apron. Santana summons his last burst of energy to score with a dropkick sending the Snake to the floor. Jake Roberts has been eliminated. Winner and going to WrestleMania VII: Tito Santana!
  22. The Playboy Club is in an interesting spot right now. Scotty's off side questing trying to make something out of Richards while Rose is doing everything he can to prove he still deserves to be in the title picture. things are heating up between the MVC and the Collective. A tough couple of losses on the loop suggest people may be getting wise to Stormfront's tricks. Crybaby Candido. Lol. I'm liking the Light Heavyweight title stepping up to the bigger stages.
  23. Cobra provides a lightening quick start to the show. Burke is back and doesn't waste time calling out Payne. The Bunkhouse Boys really take the fight to Latin Desire. Thunderstruck with a solid debut. The Bombers aren't backing down. Sheik Adnan shows up, declares Kokina is gonna wreck everyone and then just dips. Classic. Equalizer shows off. Gama retains but the Idols try to make him pay for it. Tiger and the Tribal Nation make the save by driving off the 6 man champs. Love all the promos for War Games. Really selling all the bad blood that's going into that cage. Also looking forward to Double A taking on the Hulkster next week.
  24. Jimmy Jannetty isn't supposed to be on my roster either. I'll also drop Mark Starr to make enough room for Danny Boy Collins.
  25. This week's edition of Prime Time Wrestling is dedicated to hyping the Royal Rumble with all the WWF's onscreen personalities discussing the various matches taking place this weekend. The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers)(c) vs The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Saggs) King's Court match. Jerry "The King" Lawler(k) vs Silver King Free for All match. The Commonwealth (? & ?) vs The Russian Pitbulls.
