Airing live on NBC, The World Wrestling Federation proudly presents... February 28, 1991 Cumberland County Civic Center, Portland, Maine On Commentary: Gorilla Monsoon & Jesse "The Body" Ventura Col Debeers defeats Ranger Ross. Ross had the "Combat Kick" line up but Debeers shoved the ref into the line of fire. Ross managed to stop himself but in the confusion, Debeers hit a low blow which he followed with the fiance first Piledriver for the three. Debeers continued to lay into Ross after the bell, screaming furiously about "your kind". He throws Ross to the outside, lifts a section of the mat and hits another face first Piledriver onto the concrete! Security and medic both rush to Ross side but Debeers isn't leaving. Finally Jim Duggan charges down with his trusty 2x4 which send the Colonel into retreat. Duggan stays close keeping watch as Ross is stretchered out. King's Crown Contender's match. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake defeats The Berzerker by countout. Berzerker goes for a running boot but Beefcake dodges and Barzerker goes sailing over the top rope. Berzerker almost breaks the count but Beefcake hits "A little off the top" sending back down for the ten count. WWF Intercontinental Tag Team Championship. The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Saggs)(c) vs The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) ends in a no contest as all four men end up brawling in the ring and the ref cannot restore order. "Raging Bull" Manny Fernandez defeats Black Bart in what was a hard hitting but clean match until Fernandez raked Bart's eyes setting up the "Flying Burrito". Fernandez actually offered a handshake but Bart wasn't having it and walked away to a positive reaction from the fans. Lord Alfred Hayes and The Ultimate Warrior are showing off the variety of WWF merchandise on sale. We get some comedy with the stuffy posh of his Lordship bouncing off the utter madness that is the Warrior until Jake Roberts storms the set and blindside's the Warrior hitting him with some of the merch, bouncing his head off the table they were using before finally planting him with the DDT. Main Event. Tito Santana defeats "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch w/WWF Champion Terry Funk by countering the Brain buster into an inside cradle. Funk is furious and attacks Santna with the branding iron. Security and lower card wrestlers hit the ring to protect Santana (and the WrestleMania main event). Noticably, Manny Fernandez comes out to aid the Texas Outlaws but Black Bart doesn't. The show ends in absolute chaos with Monsoon and Ventura frantically selling Mania.

Snow really has sent Severn off the deep end. And he isn't the only one as Rose is so pissed at Stevie he ends up beating Scotty's ass.

De champagne man had a plan and it might have just removed Hogan from the World title tournament. I wonder what Morrow promised the Japanese trio to get them on board?
-
Good showcases for the Tiger and the Equalizer. Bunkhouse Boys win a wild one. I share Nelson's enthusiasm for Gange;s return Magnum finally breaks down the AWA World Title tournament. Kind of a Battlebowl feel for the later rounds. Payne shatters an arm and his chance to become World champion. Some major miscommunication going on in the Idols. Colon is looking strong as he prepared to face the man of 1,000 masks. Singh fight off the Heavenly Bodies. Wildfire's back and he's coming for the title he never lost.

Been awhile since Vines & Sword appeared in the game. I know they gave the Gunns a fight. Blue Demon Jr shows he's still a contender in the Light Heavyweight division. I hope Watts grabbed every security guard he could get a hold of for that contract signing. Okay, The Cream Team may just be my new favorite tag team name. Bagwell calls out the LH champ but didn't count on his new muscle Killer Kyle. Thankfully Shaun Simpson was there to prevent things from getting too bad. Badd is on a major roll with back to back main event wins.

Originally airing 2/25/91 on HBO. A replay of the Navajo Warrior-Haku match from RAW airs. Wahoo is supportive throughout but NW ultimately succumbs to the "Tongan Death Grip". Mean Gene's Update confirms that Col Debeers & Ranger Ross will go one-on-one at SNME. Jake "The Snake" Roberts defeats Terrance Blaylock with the DDT. Split screen sees Robert say he's found the path that will take him to WrestleMania and the next time you see him it'll be too late for the poor soul who's been chosen to be his victim. A replay of Terry Funk's "Outlaw summit" is seen before Manny Fernandez's squash from Wrestling Challenge plays. Split screen sees Fernandez vow to "knock some sense into Bart so he'll know his place in the Outlaw pecking order." We Man Gene's WrestleMania VII report. He runs down the card so far with promises of more to come. The Biff Wellington-Kerry Brown match from Wrestling Challenge airs. Double disqualification as both men's stablemates get involved. The Berzerker gets a dominant win. It's announced that at SNME he'll face Brutus Beefcake with the winner challenging Jerry Lawler for the King's crown at Mania. WrestleMania VII promos with Mooney. Bad News Brown says he'll tear through Slick's latest flunky and FINALLY give him the a**whooping he's had coming for months. Black Bart says at Mania he's "takin' the Bull by the dang gum horns" when he shows "Terry's boy" Fernandez who he's messing with. Billy Jack Haynes' squash from RAW is shown. Feature Match. High Energy defeat The Nightares with stereo sunsetflips.

Kimberly doesn't scare easy. Good for her. These Dudley's really are popping up all over the place. Aww, how sweet of the Crazee's to get Tasha a late Valentine's day gift. alas she doesn't approve and the following handicap match ends in a now traditional studio brawl.

Night 1 in Honolulu. Windham overcomes a hurt arm to ko Condrey. Dibiase's trusty glove comes through again. Richards contributes to 1 win and 2 losses for the Club and they weren't too thrilled at the win. FBI's teamwork put them over. The Citadel fully weathers Stormfront. Back to back title changes add doubt to the main event but Liger holds strong. Night 2 begins with two Thrilling multiman matches. Oh i'm sure if you asked Wright, he'd say his eyes ARE on the prize. What an Awesome win for big Mike. Kawada is a bad man rather he's regulated to submissions or not. We're heading to the clash of the Thunder Dragons. Sabu self harming after a loss is so in character for him. Iron & Steel wreck the Wrecking Crew. Adams may be down but he's not out.

Somebody get Morrow a wheelbarrow to carry the balls he has to have in order to show his face around the AWA, ESPECIALLY with Hogan in the building. I don't like how confident the de champagne man was at the announcement of the match with Hogan next week. RPMs didn't want a match they wanted the hide off of TCB's hides. Los Guerreros strike during the main event,

Dallas. Kelly gets his feet under him in the singles division. Moadib proves he is Soul-less. Wallstreet's latest outing is more profitable than the PPV. Like you linking the Texas heavyweight title match with the previous tag match. Southern Justice gets their heat back while the Ebony Express cement their rise by interacting with Texas champ. Sullivan & Soul-less prioritize violence over gold. Memphis. The Bad Boy gets struck by White Lightening, Brown Sugar isn't good for Moondogs. Graham gets it done. Keirn bets Somers as a ladies man and as a wrestler. The DC put down a game Cam-Am. Bet the Memphis fans loved the idea of 12 months without HTM. If Luger wasn't regretting the DQ at Texas Tough he is now.

Great weekend for the Alliance, especially with Rude & Hennig pulling double duty on the main show.
-
The New Breed start a new era for GFW as tag champs. Bagwell is quickly becoming one of the most and least popular guys on the roster. Hammer and his new friends keep the party going. Vampire & Kabuki show their minions how it's done. Badd wins in a classic "beauty vs beast" encounter.

Originally airing 2/18/91 on HBO. We start with a tag team battle royal from the 2/16 edition of RAW. When the smoke clears the Twin Towers are standing tall having earned the right to face the Ronin for the tag belts at Mania. The Tito Santana interview from the 2/17 edition of Wrestling Challenge is shown. Santana puts over his log tenure in the WWF and say he's been a tag champ, he's been the IC champ and now, at the grandest stage of them all, he'll complete the trinity when he becomes the new WWF Champion. Ariba! The Berzerker defeats David Isley from Wrestling Challenge. Okerlund is in Toys R Us with Duggan hyping the new WWF trading cards. "Dangerous" Dan Spivey w/"The Doctor of Style" Slick defeats Disco Inferno. Split screen promo sees Slick say that's not a snowball's chance in the Sahara of Bad News Brown getting past his main man Spivey. That fives minutes ain't never gonna happen! He's so confident that he's got his lawyers hard at working striking that stip entirely...because of how unnecessary it will be. We get a match from a recent live event at the Copps Coliseum pitting Ranger Ross against "The Ace" Bob Orton. Ross gets the win with the "Combat Kick" but the real story is that as he's celebrating Col Debeers and he's fighting mad for some reason. The two trade words and look ready to come to blows when security gets between them. The Brian Knobbs v Bobby Fulton match from a recent Wrestling Challenge taping plays. The match ends in a double DQ when both their partners get involved. We're informed that a rematch for the IC tag tites will take place at SNME. The Billy Jack Haynes squash from a recent RAW is shown. Mean Gene gives the WrestleMania update, recapping all confined matches and revealing that America's favorite talk show hosts, Regis Philbin & Kathy Lee Gilford will be at Mania. Stay tuned over the coming weeks to what exactly they'll be up to. Silver King defeats Darryl Woodworth in a match from this weeks RAW. Feature Match. WWF Intercontinental Championship. "The Walking Natural Disaster" Earthquake w/"Le Commandant" Frenchy Martin defeats Tatanka after a distraction from Martin lead to the "Earthquake" splash.

The Ebony Express still pull out the win even after a change in opposition. Moadid makes a frightening mark. The Can-Ams get a chance to show off. Wild Bill takes the easy way out. The fans back in Memphis are really gonna let Hart have it after they saw him get painted yellow. A bloody Rick survives the Butcher. The DC finally get their definitive win. Did we just witness the Dallas screwjob? Sullivan shows off his technique before his men run down. Jack & Vader just became the most legit tag team in the USWA. Hart never did know to quit when he was behind. Still a nice father-son victory. Dillon may have cost his man the title but Luger leaves the champion lying in a heap.
-
The Bombers v Guerreros unfortunately didn't really settle anything. Blaze burns his rivals. Payne makes Burke submit. Now that makes an impression. The Bodies retain in a barnburner. Maybe it's a good thing Tully's retired cause he did fuck all the whole match then he's the one to give up.
-
Tasha may have just dug herself a deep hole putting hands on the new personnel, Wild Dog toeing the line by demanding a TV title shot but he & Morton reach a gentlemen's agreement. Tasha & PiP manage to slither away but Blue almost had her.
-
Candido really should've let that nickname roll off his back when he had the chance. Aloha Spectacular promises two amazing night of action to go along with what's sure to be stunning scenery.
-
WrestleWar is seriously heating up. Sid proves he could turn the tides in WarGames all by himself. The Dangerous Alliance is really shining lately. They're heading to something big.
-
The Bunkhouse Boys are calling everybody out! Thunderstruck continues to prove himself. TCB bail the Iceman out but the Rock n Roll RPMs are there to rescue Jammer. The Japanese trio are on a tear. Canek is back and all the Champions had better keep an eye out. Arcidi thinks Norton can go straight to the top. Austin returns and helps his Idol's retain. Great recap of the road to WarGames.

No Prime Time this week due to scheduling conflicts so here are the results of WWF Weekly TV. RAW 2/9/91 "Thrilling" Tom Brandi defeats Horace the Psychopath with a diving body press. Horace bodyslams a member of the Ring crew in his anger. Mean Gene's Update reveals that at WrestleMania VII, March 22 from the Richfield Coliseum in Richfield Ohio will see "America the Beautiful" performed by the one of a kind Willie Nelson! Col Debeers defeats Tom King with the face first pile-driver. Before he even got into the ring, Debeers got into a verbal altercation with a black audience member and he got so visible angry at the man for....some reason that security took the liberty of getting between them. Jake "The Snake" Roberts defeats Tony Burton with the DDT. The Texas Outlaws join Sean Mooney, Funk tells Mooney to keep his Yankee trap shut because there's Outlaw business that need's handling. He's been watching Bart and Fernandez bicker like a couple of schoolgirls and he's sick and tired of being sick and tired of it. Says he spoke to WWF President Jack Tunney and he's gotten them a match, against each other at the next Saturday Night's Main Event on Feb 22 from the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland Maine and he expects them to settle their differences like MEN. And as for Murdoch, since he's the only one acting like he's got some sense he'll be taking on Tito Santana at that same SNME and he'll be the one making sure that Mexican jumping bean doesn't make it to Richfield. "Dangerous" Dan Spivey with "The Doctor of Style" Slick defeats Len Wagner in just 44 seconds with the Powerbomb. Wrestling Challenge 2/10/91 Haku with "Sensational" Sherri Martel defeats Alan Reynolds with the "Tongan Death Grip" Lord Alfred Hayes' Special Report informs the audience that at WresteMania Dan Spivey will take on Bad New Brown and if Brown wins, he gets Slick in the ring for five minutes! "The Boy from New York City" Jimmy Valiant w/"The Guiding Light" Capt Lou Albano defeats Dale Morrisson with the "Groovin' elbow". The Genius defeats Peter Whatson with the "Honor Roll" Billy Jack Haynes defeats Mr.E with the Full Nelson. The Twin Towers (One Man Gang & King Kong Bundy) w/Slick defeat The Spirit Warriors (Wahoo McDaniel & Navajo Warrior) after Bundy hit NW with the "Avalanche" then talked in OMG who hit the 747.

Bedlam officially calls out the Final Boss. I think Hammer just met his two biggest fans. Badd might not be so pretty after Zeus gets done with him. Good job making a family friendly version of Val Venis work. Well Bagwell's won half the crowd over at least. Thou shalt not mess with the Dudley's! Vampire Warrior already seems displeased with his latest disciples. The New Breed call out the Gunns and they'll get them next week with the winners becoming GWF's first tag champs.
-
Taylor & Kelly are actually a pretty nice fit when I think about it. Wild Bill is in for a wild night against Link. I know we're heading to Texas but that doesn't change the fact that Memphis is probably the only territory that could pull off a match where the loser gets painted yellow. A Texas Death match against Abby? Who the hell did Rick piss off? No DQ is exactly the kind of environment that the DC could thrive in. Lots of talent in that TC title 4 way and a great showing of the international talent the USWA has to offer. Between Sullivan challenging Scott and Vader & Cactus going after the Road Warrriors the 26th could be a huge night for Soul-less. Never heard of a tag variant of the Texas Death stip but I'm sure Rich, Gilbert and the Lawlers can work magic. Having watched WCW growing up I have plenty of memories of Savage & Luger going at it. So I know Dallas is in for a treat.
-
Good thing BDP was there to prevent Tasha from making their situation even worse. Though Considering Misty Blue has arrived on the scene, I still wouldn't call it good for her. Lil Frank wins the battle of West Virginia's oddest wrestlers. Wild Dog makes clear that regardless of his relationship with Shane, he's coming for the TV title.
-
Show opens with a huge reveal of Colon as the new International champion. Unless i'm forgetting something this is his first title in the AWA and considering how much blood he's shed for Verne over the years he's more than earned it. TCB live up to their name. The Heavenly Bodies look high on their own supply. Rough night for Blaze. 32 men will face off over the course of a month to claim the honor of being AWA world champion. Kokina easily backs up Adnan's threats. A huge TV main event leads to the War Games teams in a massive pull apart brawl.
