  1. Love the foreshadowing of Magnum declaring he'll clean up the messes around the AWA only for the Horsemen to come out and make another. Magnum makes them pay for all their crimes by declaring War Games! Jammer is a o more chill without Vinnie around. Payne has better things to do than answer questions. The Heavenly Bodies are shining. Norton's AWA debut ends in a Flash. The Idols are after even more gold. Horrible night for Tommy Lane.
  2. Looking forward to it.
  3. Garvin & DJ still can't get on the same page. The Southern Rockers get the won but the Bruise Brothers spoil the celebration. Mean Mike takes his place in the Memphis Mafia. Jamie suckers his old man in. Love the scene of Embry and RPG laughing at the whole thing. Somebody better console Platt because RPG finally has his co-host spot thanks to....The Bullet?
  4. The link worked for me and I am thankful for it. I didn't actually know who Como or St Clair were so I looked them both up. Honestly surprised the latter is currently Toni Storm's butler. Vampire Warrior & Kabuki. Back together and just as creepy as the first time. Bedlam with another dominant win but his post match actions cost him some money. Boss man Watts gets the crowd back with the announcement of three incoming titles. Zeus has been unleashed but Giant Haystacks may just be the man to rein him in. Larry Winters doesn't fare any better against the Demon than Stetson did. Pourteau however takes the chance to wear his opponent down ahead of next week's clash to become the first ever GWF Light Heavyweight champion. Lombardi did much better than I thought he would but Tenryu still puts him down. He doesn't have time to celebrate however as the Monster Rip Morgan makes his pretense known. Abby's GWF is as chaotic and bloody as we all knew it would be.
  5. Originally airing 1/14/91 on HBO. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan's non title squash from last weeks RAW is shown. Splitscreen promo sees the IC champ say the contract has been signed and he'll see the big Earthquake at the Royal Rumble.....TOUGH GUY! Mean Gene's Update gives his weekly update segment. His sources tell him that a number of talent will be arriving at the Royal Rumble to take part in the titular match. Some will be familiar faces while others will have never been seen in the World Wrestling Federation. The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Saggs) defeat Mark Starr and Disco Inferno with "Welcome to Nastyville". Splitscreen promo see them hooting and hollering (mostly the latter) about how at the Royal Rumble The Fantastics will take their long overdue trip to Nastyville. Brutus Beefcake spikes someone with the "A little off the top". It's announced that at the Rumble he'll enter the King's Court to challenge Lawler for the crown. Promo time with Sean Mooney! Dino Bravo, Billy Jack Haynes & Bad News Brown all hype their chances with Brown in particular swearing to dump the One Man Gang out personally. A replay of Dustin Rhodes' squash from a recent RAW is shown. Tom Zenk defeats Black Bart with a sunset flip. Manny Fernandez comes down and once again gave Bart a tongue lashing. This time however, Bart looked less apologetic and more frustrated. Sensational Power (Hercules & Warlord) w/"Sensational" Sherri Martel defeat Pat Armstrong & Pete Sanchez with dual fall-away slams causing both jobbers to collide in midair. Sherri says The Ronin took Roma out so now her pair of beasts is going to do the same to them. Andre joins the set and chats with Monsoon about the Rumble. Jesse tries to crack some jokes but quickly backs off when Andre starts to get irritated. Tatanka pins Kent Carlson with "The end of the Trail". The iron Sheik submits Rico Fredrico with the "Camel Clutch". The Bushwhackers defeat Dennis Allen and the Gladiator with a double gutbuster. Feature Match. One Man Gang w/"The Doctor of Style" Slick defeats Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka after Slick shoved Snuka off the top when he was going for the "Superfly splash" allowing OMG to hit the 747.
  6. Get ready San Antonio because the Butcher is coming!
  7. Starr gets caught in the act. Taylor finds out how mean Miller is. Armando's tricks get his team the win. J.C didn't have much fun at the Party. Papa Bill is much more successful. Whatley & Olympia just shot to the top of the tag ranks. Embry needs help to escape with his title.
  8. Nothing like a nice, crazy battle royal to welcome the fans. Really enjoyed the back-nd-forth between Johnson & Prichard. Bruiser Bedlam makes a terrifying impression as he dismantles a Von Erich. Tenryu overcomes the earlier assault ot become the first ever GWF World champion. I thought that there might be funny business when I saw Watts and Ladd in the same ring but the Big Cat played it straight.
  9. Oakland. Not the best first showing for Scotty and Steveie. Modest impresses his new teacher. Adams puts Tommy on Dreamstreet. Cornette has quickly become a believer in the FBI. Stormfront clearly didn't care for a win. Adams puts Hart on Notice. San Francisco. Patriot with a solid Victory. Gordy return to save Dr Death. Finlay and the Thrillaz strike the first blow. Candido looks to prove himself to the boss. RVD & Sabu were just too crazy. Young gets spiked. Fresno. Tatum avenge his partner. Guido isn't any more successful against Scorpio. Trisha seems to be getting a lot of unwanted attention. Modest keeps up the pressure. Kawada k.o's the Beast. Liger sends the fans home happy.
  10. Bill Watts is back and hyping his new territory as only he can.
  11. JC Ice crosses the line by hitting his own father with the chair. Olympia ii tries to get a piece of Miller. Garvin is told he's in the doghouse. Team Texas uses Embry's title as leverage and now RPG may get his coveted co-host spot. The Rich's get themselves a shot at the tag straps. Ya know, I;m starting to suspect that Alberto isn't as good a lawyer as he thinks he is. Bill and Mantell bring in Budro to even the score as we get a Memphis civil war at this week's Birmingham show.
  12. Idol's back and immediately slithers his way into a world title shot. Memphis is about to become a Madhouse! JJ and Luger are coming to the USWA. Can Memphis handle them? Lawler declares all out war and Rich and the rest of the Family. The Can Am Express are back in the game. USWA Dallas is up and running. Gary Hart is back in Dallas and he brought the brought the Great Muta. Austin and Madusa are still going strong. Sullivan, Cactus and Vader? Dallas ain't ready for the Soul-less. Steiner quickly makes friends in the new territory. Wallstreet and Miss York run a foul of the lucha legend.
  13. Great write-up of the battle royal. First round looks interesting. Some obvious ones sure -i'll eat my hat the day Skinner bets the Dragon- but with the potential for some big upsets.
  14. *Meant to post this last week* I popped so big for the Mountain Dew Kid. Been drinking that stuff since I was 3/4. One thing i've noticed about your territories is that, compared to the rest of us you don't rush to crown your champions, you set up your big storylines first. I also like that you're starting with the TV title. Nice hook with the random draws.
  15. Taylor keeps himself in title contention. Gee, I wonder what had Alberto so out of sorts? Memphis Mafia vs Team Texas, hell yeah! Okay what the hell is going on with Miller? Fuller kick RPG out allowing Whatley to get his revenge on Kabuki. The tag title match is all out madness. A batshit finish sees Embry become Southeastern champion meaning Team Texas has all the gold save the Jr title. The Mafia look to take their anger out on the Superstar only for Dutch Mantell of all people to save the day. southeastern is officially the craziest territory we have going.
  16. The AWA heads act decisively resulting in a vacant World title and the need for a new commissioner. What a nightmare for poor old Verne. The Horseman are making all kinds of moves. What a wave of talent coming in.
  17. Originally airing 1 7 1991 on HBO. Unless stated otherwise, matches were taped at the Worcester Centrum in Worcester Massachusetts. Ventura and Monsoon welcome the audience to 1991 and say this week's show will feature a host of new faces to the WWF. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake defeats The Iron Sheik with "A little bit off the top". Sean Mooney's interview with Jake Roberts is shown. Robert says that a snake needs to find the perfect place to strike from in order to bring down its target and he gave himself the best spot imaginable when he secured himself the #30 spot in the Royal Rumble. Disco Inferno defeats Tom Stone with the "Chart Buster" (Ace Crusher). A lot of the kids in the audience were dancing along with him after he won. Ventura & Monsoon discuss the drawing in the Royal Rumble for the benefit of new fans. Mean Gene gives the Royal Rumble Report. The Rumble takes place at the Baltimore Arena on January 31st live on PPV. He then plays a VTR of Dusty Rhodes as he reveals the stipulation for the WWF Championship Match at the event. Rhodes says he and Funk have been doing this dance for so long he can't remember a time when they weren't. Says Funk has done a whole laundry list of horrible things to him but nothing compared to the War Zone match back in July when he was handcuffed to the ropes, forced to watch as Terry Funk nearly used a branding iron on his first born son. At the Royal Rumble, he'll pay Funk back for that and everything else he's done to the Rhodes family when they meet one last time...inside a STEEL CAGE.....Loser Leaves the WWF! The Russian Pitbulls' squash from Wrestling Challenge is shown. The Minotaur defeats Ron Steel with "Running with the Bulls" (Pounce). Ranger Ross defeats "Russian Brute" Boris Zhukov with the "Combat Kick". Bob Orton's squash from RAW a few weeks ago airs. Navajo Warrior w/Wahoo McDaniel defeats Kent Carlson with 'The Last Mile" (Power slam). Horace the Psychopath defeats Terry Davis with "Delirium" (Inverted DDT). Tugboat defeated Tom Bennett with "Capsized". Billy Jack Haynes squash from Wrestling Challenge is shown. Feature Match. Haku w/"Sensational" Sherri Martel defeats "The Boy from New York City" Jimmy Valiant w/"The Guiding Light" Capt Lou Albano with the "Tongan Death Grip".
  18. Portland. Nice showcase for the Dragon. Sandman spikes the Sicillian. Finlay seems to see something in thThrillaz. In just one interview, you've given Scotty & Stevie a nicer interaction than I ever saw on TV. Awesome gets too show off. Corny and the Midnights get their payback. Sabu doesn't seem to care about winning the title. Night 2. Stormfront maintain their edge over their old friends. Wright brings victory home for the Hexagon. The Bulldozer is quite the get for the Collective. What a visual with the powerbomb on Bigelow. Busick overcomes the craziness with Sabu to retain against Candido. Condrey takes the Pacific champ the distance. Eugene. The Thrillaz show their new mentor what they can do. Scorpion stings Guido. Fastball crashes hard. The Gentleman is on a roll. The Dragons are flying high. Snow's shortcuts lead to a dead end.
  19. I like the idea of the monthly TV specials. Gives you a nice clear goal to book towards without the hassle of ppv.
  20. A mix-up in scheduling leads to the Southeast's first ever triple threat match. Team Texas an the Memphis Mafia nearly came to blows a couple times throughout the episode. I'd be curious to see how the live crowd reacted. I don't like the way RPG responded when Fuller mentioned selling the company. Such a shame Madril had to go to night court just before Armando & El Toro's match. Pistol Pez is fired up and rearing to get a hold of Kabuki.
  21. WWF sends Masahiro Chono, Scott Norton & Kokina to AWA for King Kong Bundy, Col Debeers & Tom Brandi. WWF sends Paul Roma to WCW for Dan Spivey. Vader's loan is up so he returns to WCW.
  22. The Bunkhouse Boys with an impressive debut. Tiger pounced on the Equalizer. Big night for Jammer as he's the last man standing and he ditches Vinnie. Colon proves once again nobody in the AWA does a no DQ match like him. Konnan lives up to Hart's hype. Oh joy...Greg's back...yay😒. Los Guerreros are vicious on the way to victory. Kerry survives Spivey but gets waylaid by a debuting Michaels. Gigolo Jimmy arrives as the real Heavenly Bodies claim the National tag titles. We just witnessed the Denver screwjob! You know things are dirty when Don f'n King is shaking his head.
  23. Kudos to Sting for not waiting for Sid to get a title shot. Dillion's beef with Paul E leads to him losing his job. Speaking of whom, he pulls a major league dick move by messing with Muta's papers. At least we're getting a tournament out of it.
  24. Go for it.
