This week's Rampage was fucking awesome. It was an example of why a one hour show is the best format for pro wrestling TV. This show rocked from start to end. The Baddies and Statlander are the future of the women's division and are outshining the main event level talent. That Statlander/ Red Velvet match was fucking fire, and Statlander should be pushed to the moon, no pun intended. Dropping the dopey Alien gimmick was so important. She's freaking great and is still over without it.

I love it when something ridiculous comes out of nowhere and becomes my favorite thing in wrestling. "Scissor me, Daddy Ass!" is so freaking funny .

I like having Jericho with them because he always breaks Taz with some silly line or something.

I just watched an episode of the cartoon " Young Justice" where it looked like Nightwing had been killed, but he was faking it. He faked it by blading his forehead with a batarang and he called it an " old pro wrestling trick." I laughed out loud.

No shit, right? How many stars do I add to Cody vs Seth because the kids here forgot Wrestling is fake and were totally invested? And all three told me , "I didn't like Cody but now he's my favorite wrestler."

Speaking of racism in wrestling... Gunther is Vince's new bad ass foreign heel who's getting pushed HARD. The Germans have become the safe foreign heel characters like Canadians are every now and then. It's why I love that they dumped Imperium. It was way too Nazi-ish. Gunther, ( A better name than Walter. Seriously. Walter? That name and him being fat in little pants held him back), is going to be huge now.

I get where you're coming from, but it's Mortal Kombat, right?. Even if MK is racist, which it is? Im not throwing the racist tag on a wrestling character of a video game bad ass. It's a bad ass martial artist with lightning effect, who was the babyface in this living room. No one cares that Lacey had it bad. She's a heel.

No shit, right? Holy shit, Sami vs. Riddle fucking ROCKED!

Micheals was fucking awesome. So many of the criticisms are based on his real life shit from the fucking 90's. The whole Bret vs Shawn shit that STILL takes up oxygen amongst some folks is both fucking stupid and amazing.

Carrot Top is a legendary stickman. Sororitys nationwide have Carrot Top wings.

I've realized that one of the various reasons I like Rampage more than Dynamite is Taz on commentary. He's one of the best.

It's Pro Wrestling. Since when do we discount the most important part of pro wrestling? No one chants "Adam Cole Bay Bay!" just because of a Pavlovian response. He's fucking over and being over is the most important part of being a pro wrestler. And lots of folks do think he's great. I think he's great. I hate the Panama Sunrise but he's great. He takes an ass kicking better than most guys, especially heels. Coles selling is fantastic.

AEW is getting to Crockett 87 level of belts. As a fan of 87 Crockett, I'm all for it.

Cole and company had been on top in NXT for a really long time when AEW first started. They were already tired as top guys along with Gargano and Chiampa. AEW was hot and new and Janella wasn't on top. Omega, Jericho, the Bucks, and Cody were. No offense, but it's getting to be hilarious to read people walking tightropes trying to reconcile their hatred of Cole with his popularity. I think people should just admit that they're projecting their HBK hate onto him. Especially cause he looks like him if he was shrunk in the dryer.

Moxley was going full Brando on that promo.

Today is my birthday, and we had over some friends and the kids for the show and some grilling. The boys were in and out of the show, running around and all. But when Cody revealed that bruise? They were transfixed. They know what wrestling is. But this was their first " Holy shit, a guy is hurt for real and doing this crazy shit" moment as young 11-12 year old fans. They were wincing every time Cody got hit and they popped huge when he win.

Tony keeps telling viewers to call their friends to order a show that's almost over. That comes off desperate.

It's gonna be 11 pm for me, and that's an hour past my normal bedtime on a work night. I can't imagine how bad that stinks for East Coast folks who have to work tomorrow. That being said, it's a Holiday weekend and lots of folks are off tomorrow.

Jericho killing the music was perfect. This rules.
