First of all, the fact that anyone voluntarily goes to Newark still blows my mind. But that place is the new Meadowlands so things have changed. Also, that's drawing the New York/ New Jersey/ Philly fanbase who of course are gonna turn out. Meanwhile, in Colorado....Dynamite is coming here to Broomfield at the First Bank Center, a place I've seen concerts and WWE House Shows that holds 6,500. And there are still lots of tickets available. I got my ticket the day they went on sale, because here in Denver and the surrounding area, RAW and Smackdown at the Pepsi Center sell out because it's TV , but house shows at The FBC and The Budweiser Center in Loveland never sell out. AEW got a lot of local media coverage the day they announced here, but there's been no local presence as far as ads on TV, but they might have radio spots, though. I haven't seen a billboard in Denver, which surprises me. It's all part of finding an audience out here in the West and I love it, but I really thought the place would have sold out by now. Walk up won't be a thing really, since The FBC isn't in a city or town. It's an exit on US- 36.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4

There are way too many bald white guys with beards in wrestling. It's like an invasion of clones. -
I like Rollins. I enjoy watching him wrestle,. I have no issue with his "in ring style". My problem with Rollins has always been character shit. He's a natural heel, that voice is a heel voice and I don't want to hear it giving babyface platitudes. "Reach for your dreams Rollins" stunk. After the Shield, his heel character was fine as the sell out to HHH, and gave us J and J Security, but it wasn't Main Event Heel yet.Rollins beating Brock twice gave him credibility as a top guy that he needs to be as a top heel. This is Main Event heel stuff from him now, and yeah. He does work better with a supporting cast, which is in no way a criticism. Rollins as an Egomaniac leading a group of The AOP and Murphy totally works for me.

I was just listening to an old podcast I did where we did a "Missy Hyatt fucked a lot of guys" joke and I cringed. I should have went with a "CM Punk was the Missy of the 2000's" but I failed. -
The one positive about the fucking Saudi shows is that they never have anything I want to watch. I watch WWE and enjoy it way more than anyone who posts here. And yet not one match on any of these shows has made me want to watch them and have a dilemma that doesn't matter. I watched the first one because my buddy wanted to hang out and watch it, and he regretted it as I yelled at the screen the whole time about politics and the filthy wealthy.

WWE TV 1/6/20-1/12/20: At least 2019 is finally over

I really can't see Rock coming back to wrestle again. He's literally the biggest star in Hollywood right now. I think that appearance on the SD debut on FOX is about as close as it's going to get. -

LT was also a huge star at the time. To the point that at least in the NJ/ NY market the real sports media were shitting on LT "demeaning" himself. -
83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff
Johnny Sorrow replied to flyonthewall2983's topic in Publications and Podcasts
It's funny how some shows work depending on the circumstances you're in. I normally avoid the watch along shows because I'm not about to sit in front of the TV and watch something as I listen on my phone. But sometimes they work during a drive. For in stance, the latest Bischoff show is a watch along of the first Thunder. This past weekend I was on call for work and I had to drive an hour from home at 6:45 pm Saturday night to handle an emergency and then drive an hour back home. The Thunder show was exactly what I needed for my drive. I couldn't imagine just listening to it while relaxing at home, but it worked for the drive. -

I sat back and thoroughly enjoyed Smackdown last night. -
I've come to the conclusion that the people who have the money to sit there are also soulless. Outside of the occasional two old guys dressed up as wrestlers and a few kids, they all just sit there, barely reacting. All the noise during matches is coming down from kids and smark dudes, depending on which town. On the plus side, this AEW Dynamite show is at a place with only floor seats and one level. I've been to some WWE house shows and concerts there. The worst seats for wrestling are on the floor. There's not a bad seat in the stands.
-
And, I just got my ticket. It was $37.50 but after service charges it was 58 bucks, which is a fucking scam. I remember when Ticketmaster service charges were like 5 bucks. The same level seats on the hard camera side are $82.10 each and hard camera ringside are fucking 373 bucks a piece. That's fucking insane. Who spends that much on a wrestling ticket? I'm sure WWE prices are similar for RAW and Smackdown and that's nuts, too.
-
I don't watch Dynamite purely because I don't have cable or satellite and they don't stream anywhere, but Dynamite is going to be in Broomfield, CO in March. That's only 20 minutes away from me so I think I might go. I've seen a few WWE house shows there.

I popped for that when I saw it the other day. Panic rules.

That's not Bret's responsibility. She's a grown woman. -
Are you kidding me? She's adorable. And yeah, she said he was too athletic in bed. Which makes perfect sense.

Otis is the fucking man. Cole sounded surprised and delighted when he acknowledged the "WE WANT OTIS!" chants. Also, reading recaps of is no way to judge anything, especially wrestling. -
JR was clearly smoking weed on this show, which led to something I've never heard before, someone being cranky and stoned.
-
I'm interested, he's a great talker.

WWE TV 11/25 - 12/1 Soccer does take politics away from the spotlight

I hope Bray sells every last one of those dumb belts so he can get his cut. -
You can make a drinking game out of this show. Every time JR creates a straw man to argue with, take a shot.
