  1. If you're gonna split hairs regarding where someone was born, Jericho was born in New York.
  2. Check it out, people. We tear it up. Funniest show we've done yet , and Pete making the greatest point about Brody ever.
  3. https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/twiw-nwa-on-demand-01-24-2017 Pete and Johnny discuss a wide variety of releases on nwaondemand.com 1. Ken Patera vs Steve Pardee 11/16/79 2. A Paul Boesch Public Service Announcement -Is Screaming a good form of self defense for women? 3.Estela Molina vs La Pantera Surena (Houston 8/22/80) -A real hidden gem of early Luchadoras. 4.Great Scott vs Mr. Moto 5.Tony Atlas vs Jerry Brown 2/22/80 -Atlas advertises his fetish on a shirt. Pete and Johnny speculate. 6. Dick Slater/Tom Pritchard/Manny Fernandez angle -Thoughts on Tom Pritchard 7.Spoiler vs Bruiser Brody 11/16/79 -Pete speculates on why Brody has looked better in Houston with an assist from Johnny.
  4. That site is the worst click bait hole out there. Not even worth looking at.
  5. The best thing is Paul saying that he feels that hair pulling should be legal in girls matches because it's natural for girls to want to pull hair.
  6. Cornette must be happy he made sure she couldn't procreate.
  7. Enough to steal AJ, Nakamura, and Gallows//Anderson last year. How do you "steal" human beings who are making their own choices? Especially Gallows, Anderson, and AJ , who have stated that they were tired of being away from their families. It's like when people say Vince "raided" the territories. As if he and Pat were kidnapping talent during night time incursions and tossing them in a big burlap sack.
  8. Of course the match that's the start of the Freebirds vs Von Erichs fued is important. It jumped started a dead territory into both an attempt at going worldwide and major recognition, and fans remember it.
  9. Why? Because he was one of the biggest stars of all time, and he drew in an entire generation of kids to be wrestling fans, myself one of them. So many folks don't know just how huge Snuka was at a formative time for millions of kids. I'm not saying that excuses anything. And it's a challenging thing for lots of us. And it's hypocritical as fuck , but life isn't simple. Some childhood heroes of the screen are flawed people who have done terrible things. But at the end of the day, it's the fucking Superfly, and for me and a lot of folks that's enough.
  10. The Jesus stuff from the crowd during Saxton vs Gradwell was legit fantastic. "Hey, Jesus..Ooh! Ahh! I wanna knooooow...will you be my God" 👍 Tremendous.
  11. It's hilarious hearing Nigel being awesome on commentary after years of ROH Nigel where he clearly was hating life.
  12. I like to think that Paul loved the midgets so much he booked on the fly and added them to the Casey/ Mansfield match. 😄
  13. Woo hoo, Houston, we have midgets. 😎
  14. I like that Jericho has gotten to do the two things he wanted to do since he was a kid, be a wrestler and be in a band. I think that's cool. And maybe it's an age thing, but as a 46 year old American, Motörhead was totally a band everyone was aware of.
  15. Cool idea, man. And I love the name.
  16. Fuck that. I want more of The Big 'Un.
  17. Jesus Christ, SmackDown this week was fucking awesome. And since I had just read that Road Dogg and possibly Scott are major parts of the booking/ writing team, I was totally feeling and picking up on the huge Southern Armstrong style through a modern production prism that this week's show had.
  18. Yeah but all the eighties guys were characters. I myself didn't know any Ugandan warriors, devil worshipers, or Kings. Maybe i was running with a different crowd. Miz has been exactly that recently. Especially on Talking Smack, where actually a lot of the guys and gals have been cutting great promos.
  19. He isn't really a "callup". He was already lead writer of Smackdown before he went to NXT in 2014, and I don't remember Smackdown being so good at the time. Well, SD wasn't its own show then. It was RAW lite.
  20. Oh, and is Robert Blake dead? Cause he'd be a recurring character. Like Greico on Jump Street.
  21. I'm picturing a TV show where OJ and Snuka are Private Eyes solving cases, while eternally searching for the "real killers." And they live on a boat, like Riptide. And their maid is the robot from Rocky 4. And now I'm bummed it's not real.
  22. That Abby stuff was fucking awesome. JJ was fucking amazing. I'm so used to basically kinda boring JJ from the Horsemen era, which was what it was supposed to be, that seeing and hearing a young and at times maniacal JJ is so cool. His big blonde stache and sideburns...the cigar.. fucking great.
  23. So, when Gary Young tries to shake hands with Wahoo and Wahoo refuses, Paul says "Wahoo, as an Indian, has the right not to trust the White Man." That's fucking tremendous. 😄
  24. That triple threat on SmackDown was fucking awesome on every level.
  25. Will turned me onto him some years back and I thought he was awesome. 2016 strikes again.
