Your ideas for heels that would get over today
Grimmas replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in Pro Wrestling
Parv has it wrong, you need somebody to pretend to be a nerd but is really cool and you know he's just pretending to appeal to the nerd crowd. Nerds hate that. Someone like Roman Reigns in a pocket protector reading comics would get over as a heel. Glasses taped together is key too. -
By bad booking do you mean keeping his matches too short to get a feel for him as a worker ? I mean squashing people got him over. He had an aura about him. I'm just not sure about being a great worker though. No, bad booking post winning the title. The squashes ruled, but the way he was handled after he was the top star was pathetic.

So, do we get Sting as the replacement for the Authority after they lose or does Sting just sit in the rafters and watch Bray Wyatt or somebody?
-
Funny because I think Rey is clearly better in the WWE than before it.
-
So, does Rey purposefully throwing someone onto the bottom rope to set up a move harm his matches in any way?
-
I don't see how setting up a move is a flaw to a wrestling style at all. Does anyone complain in Stone Cold matches that he kicks someone in the gut? Does anyone complain about Ric Flair or Bret Hart working the legs to set up submissions? Is there anything wrong with Hulk Hogan's comeback? What about Lawler dropping the strap? Rey in WCW used to do a hand twirl before the springboard hurrancanrana. The only one that really stinks is Edge's set up to the spear.

Thank you. It is a fun concept to think about and we only went through a few variations. There are a LOT more that could be done.

I have no issues with the 619 set up. It's not like guys are just falling into position, Rey is purposefully putting people into that position.

Just trying to make it fair for every category. Obviously it easier get in some places than others. He does this make it unfair to Americans?

I believe it's people who don't vote lucha, but have heard Cien Caras is a slam dunk and don't want him to fall off. So, they vote for him in the lucha category only and no one else. I guess to see that is see how many total voters there were this year in lucha compared to last year. This illustrates a problem with allowing such fluidity in self selecting where to vote. The problem is if you give ten votes to a person and say they can only vote in one category, what will that do? I think you do something like this: at most you get 10 votes. You are set into certain categories that you can only vote in those. Each category gives you a certain amount of votes (Say 2, 5, 3, etc.. based on how many people in that category). So, say A is allowed to vote in Category 1 & 2, he would get 5+3 votes, so 8 votes to use anywhere. Say, B is allowed to vote in Category 1, 2, 3, & 4, he would get 5+3+2+5, but the max is 10, so 10 votes. Well the easy way of handling this is eliminating categories This would hurt all candidates currently in categories aside from U.S. tremendously. So what?

Scott Hall is one of those guys that the wrestlers praise, but he just seems good to fans. He's a lot like Randy Orton.

What is wrong with the 619?
