  1. We've been doing a lot of "what if..." lately, but this made me think of another. Would HHH have risen to where he is if Montreal hadn't happened? To me, it seems his suggestion of "screwing" Bret was his first power play (for lack of a better term). Hell, if Bret and Vince don't have a falling out, Bret might be a high front-office guy. I believe Bret had a 20 year deal, which put him in creative once he retired from the ring.
  2. "When you are talking about money, you are talking about old school. I was hired to bring ratings." What an idiot.
  3. DiBiase is not as good as Savage. Savage got a great match out of Warrior. Heck, Slaughter & Hogan had better matches with Warrior then DiBiase did. Bobby Heenan too. Plus Savage-DiBiase isn't as good as either of the Savage-Warrior matches.
  4. Is there a RSS feed for the Good Will shows, I can't seem to find it. I can find a feed for the FlairChop proper shows, but not for Will's.
  5. The best part of the Hunter, Taker and HBK booking team is that HBK will be an announcer and get everything over, ala Vince. Also, Shawn can cut promos for all of the guys on the roster. Free shows like that remind me why I don't subsribe anymore.
  6. The amount of lies they keep claiming are still disappointing. WM2 was so crazy, because it was done from 3 arenas. Something like that would be hard to do even today? Wasn't Starrcade going from 2 arenas before then? Also the crap about moving wrestling from smoke filled bars to the big time is so annoying, when WM is at MSG, where the WWF had been running at since the 70's.
  7. I always heard that guys were booking their own stuff in ROH, and yet everyone lost that ability for some reason when Pearce took over. Maybe because Pearce wanted to book like ROH was a 70s NWA territory? Pearce said on Colt's podcast that he has no idea what 70's wrestling is and has no idea where that rumour came from.
  8. No Miz-Lawler TLC? That is crazy.
  9. Its amazing that I have watched longer and seen more of a variety than either of those two. I cringe anytime they start talking about the 80's. I only just turned 30 and I thought Bryan was older than me.
  10. All I know is that my high school friends and I started ordering WWF ppvs in 1998 and ordered almost every single one. In 1999 we only ordered WrestleMania and SummerSlam, but in 2000 we ordered every single show. '99 was brutal. If they didn't have The Rock and Austin to save most of the shit it would had been the worst year ever.
  11. I was watching a house show from '87 where Adonis was wrestling and Gorilla mentioned that he was a former WWF Tag Team Champion with Jesse Ventura. Thats is acknowledging some kind of history, even though its a weird twist.
  12. I assumed Cena would return under a mask.
  13. Vince wants Brock vs. Taker at WrestleMania.
  14. How was he wimpy? He had the choice of losing the match or being fired. How is choosing not to be fired a wimpy choice?
  15. Tim Sylvia?
  16. You really believe that? If someone sends in a report it will be in the Observer, its that simple.
  17. On the Bryan and Vinny show they reviewed Cena-HBK vs. Taker-Batista from No Way Out 2007 and claimed that Cena was horrendous in 2007 and he most likely got way better over the last three years from working with HBK. 2007 was Cena's best year, from what I recall, wasn't it?
  18. After beating Flair at the ppv and thinking that TNA might actually be making a star, Jay Lethal This company is clueless.
  19. That blowup doll ruining a match and Petey Williams wrestling after being slipped a laxative had to had been Russo.
  20. On the Brian & Vinny Show, Brian mentioned how Todd Martin also finds the silver lining. Is he for real?
  21. I'd have to go back and re-watch some stuff, but I remember really liking all of them. I forget which Judo (Martial Arts) match I liked the best. I think its the one where Muraco gets pissed that Steamboat takes the white coat, leaving Muraco to take the black one. Not the MSG one, but they had many and I forgot which. I believe the other one that really stood out was a Toronto match (I believe) that was very bloody. I haven't watched the whole series in years though. It may be my major Muraco-markdom that over-rates those matches, but I do love the bloody slow hatred matches that they had.
  22. Ugh. I really didn't think the Orton match was all that great, and I've yet to see a watchable Steamer-Muraco match. Then you need to watch more Muraco-Steamboat matches because they are awesome. One of the best series of matches the WWF did during the 80's. I've never seen this particular match, but the rest of the series is so strong I can't imagine this not being really good. Especially when the prior month's MLG match being really good.
