  1. I was a little disappointed by it. I thought there would be more substance to the stories, but each one was pretty brief. It was fine, but I'd probably give it 3 out of 5 if we're using Amazon's rating system.

    WWE Hidden Gems

Not Johnny, but the preview video at https://www.wwe.com/videos/12-days-of-wwe-hidden-gems-exclusively-on-wwe-network shows matches with Road Warriors vs. Ivan & Kruschev, Tully vs. Magnum, and Flair vs. Dusty. Those matches were all on the 12.29.85 Meadowlands show. It also looks like the Midnight Rockers competing in a cage against Somers and Rose, which took place on 12.25.86 in St. Paul, and Rockers vs. OMX from 12.25.87 in St. Paul. I think I've seen the cage match before, but I'm not sure if the 1987 match is new.

Perhaps the craziest thing about this match is that Billy Robinson is the referee.
  5. The main event of the first show I ever went to was the Bulldogs challenging Valentine and Beefcake for the WWF titles. They are still my favorite tag team.

I loved the tag match. I agree that the suplex on the ropes was an awesome move. Flair vs. Race was very good too, except they cut to the crowd too much. This is the kind of stuff that makes the Network worth the subscription.
  8. It's definitely a Winnipeg match. I don't have my TSN footage cataloged very well, so I don't know the date. Between Robinson, Hayes, and referee Bob Warren, there's a lot of fantastic mustaches in that ring!

i can't believe this is a question that I'm asking, but who is the masked announcer?

  12. I believe I read somewhere that the Mid-Atlantic stuff was supposed go to up on January 8.
  13. Thanks! Glad you like the set!
  14. I agree with you, these video packages have been great. I had the opportunity to see Tim Storm defend the NWA title last May while I was at the CAC, but I chose to go to Fremont St that night. Kind of wished that I would have stayed to see his match. Don't get me wrong, I had fun on Fremont, so I'm not kicking myself that much! I'm glad to see CWFH working with the NWA again. I think the last great series that title had were the Pearce vs. Cabana bouts.

  16. I loved this! Very cool to hear John's insights on the various guys as they entered and exited the territory. I agree that a MSG or Spectrum piece would be great too. To be honest, the two hour podcast time was also a plus.
  17. I was at the show in Mason City when Pat Tanaka popped that kid. The kid was talking smack to one of the Diamond Dolls and was following them back to the dressing room. He stuck his arm through the door to grab her and Tanaka got in the way.

  21. I'm pretty sure I attended a MCW card around 1988 or 1989. I definitely remember a masked wrestler named "The Professional" on the show. This would have been in Northwood, IA. I'd love to the footage you have!
  22. Exactly, that's what I've always hated about him being in there. It's not like you're going to see Adam Silver suit up for the NBA All Star Game. Basically, they're saying anyone can walk off the street and be a pro wrestler.
  23. Get Shane McMahon out of there.
  24. Sounds excellent and right up my alley. Knowing that we share the same favorite territory, I think you'd enjoy it.
