    If not for the AJ 5/26 six-man, this would be my match of the month. I really enjoyed some of the Lucha trios as well, but MX have been near perfect for the entire year. On a secondary note, I get that Ross' "mixed doubles champion" line about Cornette is supposed to be some sort of gay joke, but I don't get it. In this incarnation he says his partner's name was "Jack." Um, what? Could someone explain this oft repeated Ross insult?

    This is my May Match of the Month. Just fantastic and I'm glad I am finally seeing AJPW 90's from the start.

    I can't believe I'm saying this about a Jimmy Valiant match, but I wish the whole thing was available. This looked great in clipped format and may be Valiant's best match of his career.

    Lawrence certainly made this segment and I too snickered at his tear gas line.

    I dug Paula's Plowboy Frazier story. Paula is MILFariffic! I liked that this wasn't as condescending and eye rolling as the Connie Chung piece.

    I would love to know what the fan said to set Lawler off and, of course, Lawler's response. As for the angle, it's the first time I seen it as an adult and it's fantastic. I can't wait for more.

    Funniest thing on the yearbook so far. I was thinking the same thing as Loss as to why Lex wasn't playing since he had that high GPA and all. Glad this was put on the YB. Any what are the shoes the WCW guys are wearing? They look like the Marty McFly Back to the Future Nike's.

    Not sure if it was this segment or the one after commercial break, but after Valiant brings everyone in front of the camera saying this is the people's belt, the crowd is chanting "We Want Lawler!"

    Worst rules concept in the history of wrestling. Knowing Memphis, it won't last long.

    My first time seeing this (as with a bunch of non US stuff on this YB) and it's a very high MOTM contender for April. Better than Hogan/Warrior and better than Hansen/Vader from Super fight.

    So was it known that Tenryu was leaving at this point? I always thought it was a blindside that he was leaving as a "spokesman", but it was only a cover to form SWS. Also, was this the last day of the tour and 5/14 the first day of the next?

    Ronnie Gossett telling Embry that he hates nothing more than a fat slob is tremendous. Embry is super annoying in this segment (and everything in 1990 so far). I wish this wasn't out of order because it lost me for a bit. Agreed it went way too long.

    Interesting to note, I believe Frogman was Steve's first TV match of his career as well. My favorite part of this is Ronnie Gossett saying "She's over with me" after she slaps Adams.

    This went on FOREVER. I'll probably rewatch due to the praise in this thread, but am dreading it as I found this to be boring.

    Midnights are amazing in this. Definitely Tag Team of the Year for the first 1/3 of the year and knowing what's to come probably will hold up for the year.

    Very disappointed by this. Probably sets the record for chair shots in a match and they were nearly the entire offense of both teams.

    Nate's promo was just him saying "BIG MAN!" over and over. Pretty annoying. Did Nitron even wrestler Lawler at MSC?

    Good stuff. Commentary was difficult to hear, but I think one of them said that Waltman doesn't drink or do drugs. Nice.

    Weird seeing this and then turning on the TV to see a trailer for the new Robocop coming out 14 years later.

    Warrior winning this match is one of the best, most enduring memories of my childhood. My memory as a fifth grader was that this was a much longer, epic match, but watching it as an adult it was rather short. I guess now I knew the outcome and was watching it with a more critical eye. Still a great memory.

    A lucha match is likely my Match of the Month for March, but I'm not sure which one. Possibly this one. It'll take a rewatch.

    Current front runner for Indy match of the year for 1990. A little long, but I enjoyed it.

    Racist Lawler in Philly. The King has balls. He and brain damage have there usual indy match.
