  1. "Not a lot to say from the Diamond Studd and Diamond Dallas Page". Not sure when I first started watching WCW but this is the first show I can remember as my family friend that got the PPV's taped this one for me. Attack looked really good.
  2. Couldn't follow the action at all and I don't like Sulilvan matches = bored Chad drifiting in and out of this match for 15 minutes until it was over.
  3. Larry has a great way of making himself seem cocky by being so intellectual. Really the best at doing the "scholar" gimmick in wrestling history. Here the way he gets more angry and screaming as his goes along is glorious. Arn is smooth as always. I really love the Enforcers.
  4. We were hopeful for a show this weekend but the logistics of mine/Parv's situation is awful as I am traveling for work Monday-Friday and trying to record a show using hotel wifi is dicey at best. Throw in the usual restrictions we have of recording on the weekend and the time difference and you get our current situation.
  5. Sometimes Prtichard underwhelms me and I think it is because he has potential like this promo and the "talk to Tom" angle where he can produce some of the best wrestling angles in history. The cheap shot and action looked good and again more heated and interesting than the Lawler/BJT interaction. Embry deserves a mention to for his post match interview. Fun shit.
  6. A fireball is used to intensify this feud but something is still missing and I think its just Billy Joe's overall demeanor vs. the King. Disappointing feud of 1991.
  7. Give Slaughter back his country so he will shut up please. WWF is beating Paul Revere's dead horse with these vignettes.
  8. Everything throughout 1991 played up to this match and paid off. All of the submission work and kawada rising up the ranks had the crowd sniffing an upset in the vein of shot-putting him into the stardom of Misawa after 6/8/90. Jumbo really is masterful in looking vulnerable and giving the majority of the match to Tosh but also looking resourceful and strong when it counts at the home stretch. it is a thing of beauty and every move gets emphasized in the final stretch. Right finish to. One of the best singles matches of 1991 and superbly worked.
  9. Man Fuchi has been the man in October. He was a complete dick throughout this match working over the leg and leading to a logical finish. Kroffat was very sympathetic and timed his short bursts and comebacks well. Awesome little stuff that I wont rank because of how little we saw overall but enjoyed immensely.
  10. Fun little match with Finlay especially looking good to me doing a lot of little vicious things throughout this match. Always good to see Steve Wright as well. Finish was pretty weak though.
  11. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrZYxbjD2W0 This was the Misawa six man I recommended. Had a fun time overall doing this show.
  12. Pretty good run in for Sting beating Abby and Cactus up with a stick. Ross shitting on the referee was funny.
  13. Ron gives a great promo and the main event feud is well done again. He announces Dusty as his second for Havoc and Harley pitches a shit fit.
  14. This chamber of horrors match is such a mess considering this show was the perfect setting for Cactus vs. Sting in a cage to keep Abby away.
  15. Hey, a better Lawler promo. Maybe we can get something out of this heading into next week.
  16. Billy Joe has been better than Lawler to me in trying to prove himself. Hopefully the feud is turning around.
  17. I agree that both guys are showing a lot of fire in this feud but to a certain extent, i don't know why everyone is so bent out of shape.
  18. Damn Fuller is one of my favorite promo guys of all time. Every time he talks I listen closely. Marlin is pretty swank here as well.
  19. Awesome little angle with El DIablo being Jake under the mask and wreaking havoc after Sid vs. Taker got massive heat for their staredown.
  20. Tito has become El Matador but the camera work is fairly suspicious when the bull is charging in the arena.
  21. This match felt like the equivalent of a parent going up to a kids room, unplugging the boombox and throwing it in the trash. Jumbo's team has had enough of the young people's shit and is fighting back. Fuchi in particular is angst ridden giving the bird and saying something on the mic. I liked how even when Misawa's team would tag out it was done relatively easy because Jumbo and company were not backing down in this fight. Taue really goes after Misawa's face as a receipt from the last match and Kikuchi gets bent all sorts of ways. Finish was sublime and definitive. Awesome match that brought Jumbo back as a threat after his submission defeat last month.
  22. Mooney is your host of Primetime now. Was this Vince selling the chair shot? Macho is great in the primetime setting glad handing, selling his point, and clowning on Bobby. Jameson is still a thing as well.
  23. This is one of my favorite Piper interviews of all time. He uses his unhinged personality to focus in on Flair using his one liners and it works well to captivate the audience. Really wanting a singles blowoff between the two.
  24. This video looks really out of place late in 1991 when the menu music featured all Nirvana songs. I dont think Hammer had a chance to succeed.
  25. Man what happened to the good buildup for Havoc? We have gotten some goofy shit lately and this is the latest example. We didn't even get to see Missy's reaction.
