Havent watched Owen/Vader in forever so can't really comment. Would for sure at a bare minimum keep Vader/Shamrock. Shawn vs. Austin I would say is a keeper. I remember the match being good and it is their second highest profile match besides Mania 14. I also think KOTR doesnt need any representation besides a JIP job of HHH winning so including this help fills out some of that card.

Keep it coming Vinnie. Loving reading these monthly status reports. I agree with Flair, everyone knows about his 1989 but I think he extended that really well up until the title change in 1990 as one of the best stretches of his career.

War Games is trickier for me that Bret vs. Taker because there is not a superior version like One Night ONly is for Bret vs. Taker but I still lean towards clipping it for some cool hidden gems beneath the surface enough. I trust you and Will's judgement as so far you both have done an amazing job of finding some totally unique stuff but also including the mainstream US promotions where no outside individual could be off put by picking up the set. Also even if stuff doesn't make it on here, that is what the errata is for.

Agree with another vote for clipping down Taker vs. Bret. I do think the Hart Foundation 1997 is something I wont object to some slight cherry picking around since Will has already done a pre-existing set that is comprehensive. For instance if its SS 97 in full vs. a LLPW match, I lean LLPW since a. its unlikely I will pick up whole shows of that in the future and b. given the market it seems unlikely that there will ever be comprehensive Joshi 1997 or CMLL 1997 sets at this point.

Good stuff as always Dylan, only person I would have significantly higher (and I should preface by saying I havent seen nearly as much Southern indies and luchas as you) is Sheamus. He would be for sure in my top 10 and knocking at my top 5. I think he has been a poor man version of Cesaro but has had some great matches and I loved him in that Shield vs. Superfriends match at Elimination Chamber and his work vs. Cesaro in their main event match. This year has been very disappointing to me overall match quality wise. This time last year, we already had my top 3 for the year and we also had other stuff that while I didn't love as much as everyone else (Taker/HHH), it still had a ton of hype and support. I have seen a ton of 2.5 - 3 star matches this year (mostly from WWE TV) but only a couple that I would rank at 4.25-4.5

Yes. Should be a great time all around. The two things I am most interested going in will be the lucha which is a discovery on every yearbook set since I am a novice in lucha and the joshi since 1997 seems like one of the highest quality years post the golden age with GAEA coming into its own and AJW still cranking out some great stuff.

I think we have found our worst match of the year. Im not blaming Sid because while he didn't do the most professional thing in the world, and least he stood up and refused to go along with that piece of shit El Gigante was throwing stuff at him. Post match was horrendous.

I am always impressed with how big Windham is put over by the announcers as a heel. I am always a big fan of wrestlers maximizing their time and they did that here with using the blood and pace to escalate the issue and make the match seem a lot more dramatic than the time would indicate. Really fun feud that should have had more time to develop.

Michael Hayes always look like he has been in a hour long match post 1989 with as much as he sweats. Damn this was great stuff even though the crowd was dead. This may be the best the Birds looked in the 90's. Fantasia debut was a wrestlecrap worthy moment. Interested to watch the full match when we get to it on the podcast because this match being a hidden gem could solidify this whole ppv card with 4 other good matches already.

dammit Hulk you were on such a good role post mania. This was my least favorite stuff of him since the Mania pre promo and this really feels like him living in the past and bringing up stuff that has died down tremendously. So far I am unimpressed with the barber shop format.

May need to rewatch but this felt like a MOTYC as is in my top 7 so far. sano is a guy I have really begun to appreciate as he pops up 2-3 times on every yearbook and has a good performance. Shamrock was really impressive here looking dangerous on the ground but also realizing the pro wrestling dramatic timing. My favorite thing about this match was the struggle and the fact that I didn't realize how long it was and felt it could end at any moment. Nothing was conceded in the entire 26 minutes and my patience was never tested. 1991 has become really endearing to me with the amount of mat work being done in a variety of different areas.

Love seeing all the different shoot style groups on display. Wilkins bring such a zanyness to these matches that is infectious and him vs. Fuji is great pairing work. I thought the finish was a little abrupt but the structure and work was a lot of fun.

Interesting knowing real life implications but not too interesting as a stand alone wrestling segment

Glad Shoe mentioned it because it was weird how they made this match out to be hyped as a brawl instead of a technical masterpiece. I also always get jarred hearing Eaton talk.

That table bottom looks like recovered Titantic wreckage. This goes about as expected but yeah last week we see Embry vs. Jarrett, Gilbert, and Kiern plus him referencing Lawler being gone. This week he is in a heated dispute with Dundee so it seems like overkill.

Weird get up for Sherri and I continue to be impressed with how involved she is. Good development in drawing out Virgil feud.

I love matwork so I have eaten up all of disc 11. In fact as far as 1991, while there hasn't been a ton of really great matches (excluding this one) everything has been a ton of fun and I feel like we have had more hidden gem type stuff than in other years. Santo is really short. I always knew that but really noticed it in the beginning when some of the kids in the ring were as tall as him. This match was a beautiful display. Maybe just a step behind their 1987 and 1997 iterations and much like Jumbo vs. Misawa from earlier in the year I don't count it against these two that this match is only really great instead of a top 5 MOTYC. Matwork was beautiful, crisp, and gripping. The build to the low blow by casas and then the retaliation by Santo was amazing. Finish was a tad confusing but is biggest blemish against this glorious match.

My favorite Brazos tag to and right on the brink of being a great match. The comedy got over here but all the other action was very crisp. I usually dont associate Atlantis with this fun lucha environments and as more of a serious wrestler but him vs. Porky was a fantastic pairing.

Hey Brody, I was able to stream and download the podcast just now, if the problem persists please PM me.

They had done a good job of giving some gravity to this angle that seems hokey on the surface. That all goes out the window here with Quake coming out in his wrestling attire, having the snake skin and snake eyes dice, and then really cements itself with the burgers. This is bullshit indeed Vince.

I just realized I don't think we got any Jameson which is a shame and maybe a little snippet for the errata set. This was odd and felt like Prime time kind of reaching the end of its rope in coming up with unique real life situations to play off the wresting characters. I have no idea where the woman with Hennan is leading to.

I would have preferred this on the funeral parlor as brutus beats dont really play well off of Jakes cold demeanor. We do get the introduction of Lucifer which I was jacked about as a kid.
