  1. Good promo by Flair as he continues to do his best to present Gigante as a threat.
  2. Another good promo and I liked that they mixed up the brawl to make it different from Lawler/Gilbert by throwing in more wrestling moves inside the ring.
  3. Gilbert was giving a great promo but then here comes Lawler and they are at it again. Great stuff all around on this episode.
  4. Jaime does a great job here explaining that now he is out on his own and can do stuff his way. Dundee responds to this by whipping him to the studio crowd delight. Dundee yelling I hate you as he was leaving was very intense.
  5. I really loved the mSC stuff and agree with Loss that it saddened me to see so many empty seats. Lawler taking the fireball in the shoulder was well done with him having a scar in the previous tag and him rubbing lotion in the back stage segment here. The pull apart between him and Gilbert is very intense and its amazing how they kept this feud fresh.
  6. I have actually really enjoyed the build so far to the Hogan vs. Slaughter match. Slaughter continues to put over his new rules which up to this point has led him to great success.
  7. Savage's promo was intense goodness. Warrior for his part is humanized a good bit in this program and they both do a real good job of hyping up the retirement match at WM 7.
  8. Pretty by the numbers tag but needed to be included for the Lawler vs. Austin interaction. Austin is developing at a quick pace and should be heading for WCW soon enough.
  9. I always liked these lucha features for culture aspects and this was no exception. The old clips especially was cool.
  10. Fun match but definitely a by the numbers action wise match carried by the comedy of Porky. I enjoyed it for what it was but along with Lawler vs. Garvin this goes into more novelty territory instead of great matches territory.
  11. Actually a fun segment to close the show setting up the Wargames. Flair was really selling as hard as he could for El Gigante.
  12. Great tag work. This may be the best I have ever seen Brad Armstrong look as he took a great beating and made a subdued crowd really into by the end. Arn/Windham make a great team and are able to mix up schtick with viciousness well. Ending was lame and doesn't really build to Wargames well. I kind of wish they would have just had a huge blowoff between Doom and the Horseman at the January Clash and then moved on.
  13. The build up to this was really good and Jim Ross really put over the magnitude of it.
  14. Ross reaction at Gigante was great. Him pointing saying I want da belt was even better.
  15. Kiern comes out and agrees to destroy Jarrett and Lawler but no one will lay a finger on Fargo. Big trouble in the Fabs camp.
  16. Great stuff overall that Memphis does well intertwining multiple storylines into one cohesive segment. I especially liked the way Fargo was presented as such a legend.
  17. I didn't dig this a lot. Segments of it were really good like the headscissors punch and some of Arn's antics on the apron but overall the faces controlled way too much of the match and the match seemed to have a ton of restarts. Just when it was starting to develop into an interesting tag, Simmons and Teddy interfere and while the beatdown was pretty good, I was left disappointed.

  19. Good match but not a great one that you would hope for. I did like the Honor amongst thieves stuff they did throughout the match and this did show that Bobby was competent as a singles competitor.
  20. Thanks Dean, We have switched programs that we use for the show and I am using a new microphone which has helped our audio quality.
  21. Here are the years I feel relatively sure about: 1969 - The Destroyer vs Giant Baba (JWA, 03/05) 1984 - Antonio Inoki/Tatsumi Fujinami/Yoshiaki Fujiwara/Kengo Kimura/Nobuhiko Takada vs. Riki Choshu/Animal Hamaguchi/Yoshiaki Yatsu/Isamu Teranishi/Kuniaki Kobayashi ( NJPW, 4/19/84) 1985 - Tully Blanchard vs. Magnum TA (I Quit, Starrcade 85) 1986 - Curt Hennig vs. Nick Bockwinkel (AWA, 11/18) 1987 - El Hijo del Santo vs Negro Casas (WWA, 07/18) 1989 - Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat (NWA, 04/02) 1990 - El Dandy vs El Satanico (EMLL, 12/14) 1992 - Manami Toyota & Toshiyo Yamada vs Mayumi Ozaki & Dynamite Kansai (AJW Dream Rush, 11/26) 1993 - Mitsuharu Misawa & Kenta Kobashi vs. Toshiaki Kawada & Akira Taue (AJPW, 12/3 1994 - Mitsuharu Misawa vs Toshiaki Kawada (AJPW, 06/03) 1995 - Mitsuharu Misawa & Kenta Kobashi vs. Toshiaki Kawada & Akira Taue (AJPW, 6/9) 1996 - Mitsuharu Misawa & Jun Akiyama vs Toshiaki Kawada & Akira Taue (AJPW, 12/06) 1997 - Mitsuharu Misawa vs. Kenta Kobashi (AJPW, 1/20) 2010 - LA Park vs. Mesias (AAA, 12/5) 2011 - CM Punk vs. John Cena (WWE, 7/17) 2012 - Negro Casas vs. Blue Panther (CMLL, 3/2)
  22. Not commenting on promos again but I was way off on this one and I don't know what was going on. I guess I had Lawler burnout from 1990 as this was way better than I gave it credit for the first time as Lawler rallies the crowd up against cornette and the Fabs.
  23. Echo most of my thoughts on this one as well. This felt like a good beginning and end to a match but had no middle section and neither the beginning or finish were spectacular enough to counteract the lack of transition so the match is merely good for these two.
  24. Liked this a little more this time around. Still towards the bottom of the list for the year because 1991 has been so good so far but Young looked a lot better and I really liked his flying knee. Embry yelling Texas also excited me with the fire he showed.
