I really want to see the MSC match because the action was really heated that we saw. Finish was really clever I thought. Jarrett is about to make short work in the studio before Dr. Tom interjects himself and they have a nice brawl in the ring. Embry comes in and the beatdown ensues. Jarrett blades and Lawler has to make the save. Still loving the Texas vs. Tennessee stuff.

The Dragon is coming in. These spots are really too brief to resonate.

I thought she looks pretty close to the Queen and I will admit that as a kid I thought it was the real one. She has a bold prediction that Warlord will be successful at Wrestlemania.

[1991-03-02-WWF-Superstars] Brother Love: Ultimate Warrior
soup23 replied to Loss's topic in March 1991
So this is the end of Brother Love. I have had ups and down with segments as a whole but it was an integral part to continue feuds especially in 1990. Warrior being the one to destroy the set and end Brother Love makes a lot of sense. -
[1991-03-02-WWF-Superstars] Update: Sgt. Slaughter/Hulk Hogan update
soup23 replied to Loss's topic in March 1991
I liked this update as it showed Slaughters new rules and Hulk responds vowing revenge. I agree that you can tell they wanted to do the flag as even Hogan alludes that Slaughter setting the poster on fire was the equivalent of doing that. -
[1991-03-01-USWA Texas] Jeff Jarrett & Bill Dundee vs Eric Embry & Gary Young
soup23 replied to Loss's topic in March 1991
Herky Jerky match but by design to show that Young/Embry is not a partnership that could be long lasting. Sure enough after Young takes the lost, embry turns on him and we have a brand new babyface in Gorgeous Gary Young which is a sight to see.- 8 replies

I loved this. The arm work looked rugged. All of the other spots like the kip up into a punch looked really crisp and the finishing run was really hot. Pritchard is someone I go back and forth on but he really impressed me here and I'm excited about this feud as a whole.

This was sort of touring style match for these guys but it did have a good many neat moments and I also did appreciate the way it intensified over the course of the match. Casas getting the clean win was surprising to me to and I did enjoy seeing all these vignettes between falls again.

Not a whole lot to this at all. The match never really had any flow and then just ended in fairly abrupt fashion.

I liked this match but it looks like a decent amount less than you guys as its in the Vader vs. Fujinami bracket of 1991 matches instead of the upper tier. i did like that in 14 minutes they really crafted a match that felt like a war and the minimization of the weapons was nice to see. Two guys bleeding and throwing bombs in an entertaining manner.

Around the same as the general consensus on this match as well. Match was good but never really ratcheted up to an exciting finish. Misawa being laid out like that was also something weird to see.

[1991-02-25-WWF-Primetime Wrestling] Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan
soup23 replied to Loss's topic in February 1991
Weird sneak peak camera but Vince and Bobby have undeniable chemistry. -
Cant add to much more than this. Pillman's performance is great and this is the most hatred I can remember in Sting vs. Flair encounters. The Steiners also remained serious throughout the match. The finish didn't bother me.

[1991-02-24-WCW-Wrestle War '91] Fabulous Freebirds vs Doom
soup23 replied to Loss's topic in February 1991
Freebirds are at 1997 levels of NWO oversaturation. Doom is no more and Chad is saddened. I don't know why they decided to be done with this team. I know Dusty liked simmons but they still had a lot more potential.- 9 replies

[1991-02-24-WCW-Wrestle War '91] Lex Luger and Nikita Koloff

I knew Nikita came back but totally blanked on how he was introduced so I was shocked to see Nikita belt him. Good segment.- 10 replies

[1991-02-24-WCW-Wrestle War '91] Lex Luger vs Dan Spivey
soup23 replied to Loss's topic in February 1991
Don't know what all Spivey did to earn this shot and he has looked absolutely awful in the 1989 stuff so I was kind of pessimistic going in. Spivey is still somewhat reckless here although not as reckless as we have seen and the match actually builds to an exciting climax and they pull off a lot more complicated moves than I would have figured. Pleasant surprise and big testament to Luger.- 13 replies

[1991-02-24-WCW-Wrestle War '91] Big Van Vader vs Stan Hansen
soup23 replied to Loss's topic in February 1991
Vader feels special for the first time in WCW. I really liked this match but it was too brief and the ref calling it off was annoying especially after they have highlighted this to be a conclusive rematch to the Tokyo Dome match.- 12 replies

Sting is still a little "off" but does a pretty good job in talking about how the odds are staked against them but the Wargames will still go on.

[1991-02-23-WCW-Saturday Night] Brian Pillman and the Four Horsemen
soup23 replied to Loss's topic in February 1991
Damn, this was amazing. How can WCW have the potential to do something this awesome and still have Big Josh. Big beatdown on Pillman is just what I would need to see if I was ordering a PPV.- 8 replies
