    I really liked the angle setting this feud up. Flair saying he never focused on tag wrestling seems reasonable to me.

    I was down on their first match more than most and this was worse than that. Opening 10 minutes were a waste. It improved overall when Cactus went to the floor but overall this was missing something.

    I would be interested to see if his IWA-MS stuff holds up vs. Punk, Hero, etc. When I was a heavy watcher it always struck me as them trying to recreate Hardcore Heaven 1999 but there may be a diamond in the rough in there.

    If it means anything to you Brain, one of my most vivid WCW memories is Abby getting fried in the chamber of horrors that I can't wait to share on the Havoc 91 pod.

    Piper may be the reason people get yelled at today on commentary as you can almost picture Vince snapping his fingers at him in the booth telling him to shut up. Simbas dance was awful. Sad to see Atlas in this fashion. I don't think I was as blown away with his promo stuff as most but it was good and certainly deserved better than this.

    Good promo by LOD and I loved the line Hawk gave about Arrogance.

    Sid promos in this arena are good. Short and sweet.

    Better in some spots than I expected and plodding and boring in others. Konnan turning on his opponent was interesting and the Rayo vs. cien exchanges were heated.

    This lucha vignettes and clips are usually unique but well done.

    This may be Eddy's first real good match? The Brazos were really awesome especially Porky pairing with Eddy and given him the big splash to the outside. Great showcase match that made me anticipate all the Brazo stuff coming up in 1990-91.

    I didn't think this match would be this great. The bladejob is great but the character of Muta really worked for me in this match. Great performance by both men and New Japan singles MOTY up until now.

    Good slugfest although below the Vader/Choshu match. A good sequence in the middle would have made this match great.

    I fucking loved this. Tenry and Ishikawa were the greatest bullies possible to Takagi. Just peppering him with little kicks and keeping control. Yatsu has enough and flips his shit but it is not enough. The match never gets another hot tag. Real unique ending. I thought Yatsu showed more fire here by far than anything else since the 12/6/89 RWTL match vs. Tenryu/Hansen.

    Never knew Flair called an audible like that on Starrcade 88. That is great at showing how awesome Flairs instincts could be inside the ring.

    A double hair vs. double hair mixed tag match would have been awesome. Sad to see USWA TX go as it has been probably one of the most consistent promotions we have seen this year with consistently great angles anchored by Adams vs. Austin and some good matches including breakout starts like Billy Joe and Gorgeous Gary.

    Kimala really sauters down to the ring but throws some good haymakers in clearing the ring and the crowd goes nuts. This still feels a little more low rent than the angles USWA TX was doing a few months ago.

    Seriously when did the switch flip for Cactus. He has been brutal so far. You can see a lot more glimpses of Austin's promo potential than Mick's. skandar continues to be on a roll calling Saddam Fabulous.

    Pretty terrible vignette and made the Blasters look like imitators.

    Yeah this one does sound more like Ole than previous vignettes. I laughed at the we want your life line.

    USWA had been good up to this point in interjecting racial discussions in an intelligent way. That went out the window with Gilbert here.

    Gilbert is really able to rile up the studio crowd. Hot angle all around.

    This was great stuff all around. A huge collection of people but lawler's demeanor in explaining it all really put it over. Another great USWA segment for 1990 and I am glad they were able to keep some steam after botching a lot of the stuff last week.
