I haven't had the chance to listen yet but I'm pretty much with you on this. It's almost never worth it just outright say "this is fake." I like the idea of just putting it on YouTube if they felt they had to do it in general.

The difference between Owens being so single minded and Sasha doing the curtain call was striking to me.

There's an element of time and investment here, Parv. Not just context but emotional connection that builds over time.

The idea with Sasha falling off the ropes was that she got too cocky/showy in front of the big crowd when if she just stuck to something more fundamental she would have been fine and probably won the match? Is that a stretch of a reading there? I'm still a little iffy on those two bits of layout (though not necessarily execution - I just don't think Bayley should have been in the position to have to portray being unable to hold on to the bank statement seconds after her hand had been stomped on repeatedly in the first place. It's not on her), even on a rewatch. The flip side is that there's no match in a year and a half that's provided as emotional a moment and I'm not sure I've seen a better match this year. I've zero problem with the finish, btw. That sort of bump could believably pop Sasha back up in my mind and the CHARGING belly to belly just had so much oomph behind it as a moment.

Someone point me to some Kana matches to watch.

I could be high on Christian, but part of that is the wonky nature of my list.

That's the thing. They can't say "Well, this is just 1000 loyal fans in Full Sail." It's going to be back to back nights filling the same Arena. Real curious to see how things come off.

The brutal stomping on Bayley's hand during the Bank Statement was awesome, but it was really bad layout to follow that with the finisher stealing. She should have made it to the ropes and done almost anything else. Yes, she couldn't hold it, in part due to the hurt hand but I don't think that came across well enough in her work. Still, it was a great match, but whoever put that together screwed up that moment. (Also, the transition with Banks going off the ropes should have been clearer in causality). In general, I loved the match, though. The crowd tomorrow is going to be so interesting compared to tonight. They went nuts for Blue Pants, for the Tag finish, for Bayley. I wish Sasha would have been a bit more frustrated after losing the belt. I get why they did what they did and it was emotional, but it felt like a Curtain Call moment, especially after her entrance and the sheer amount of character she showed in the match. On the other hand, she sold the neck. Selling > hugs. Definitely a lack of kids in the crowd relative to Full Sail, which felt like a shame.

What if Graves was just a matter of timing with the ESPN cameras filming for the E:60 special?

I predict that we're all utterly pissed off at Parv for his lack of knowledge of the product by the end of the night.

Judy Martin will make my currently entirely-non-Japanese-save-for-maybe-Saito list.

Anyone going higher than me on Andre?

I really liked Oates vs Funk. It's a bit of a hard match to explain, with a lot of an exhibition feel but one that got heated but never entirely lost control.

Is it possible that WWE dumped Sting out of the tag match not because the Rowan injury but because he wanted to do Wizard World Chicago as it's a huge paydate for guys like him?

http://www.newsarama.com/25635-stephen-amell-suits-up-for-wwe-summerslam.html It's gotten more play on comics sites, but he's debuting the new costume apparently.

To be fair, I think it's always been a part of wrestling, for decades and decades, that when they hammer home too hard the idea that someone has someone else's back, a turn may well happen.

I wonder if there are a legion of teenage girl CW fans who will drop $9.99 just for the chance to see the new Arrow costume for next season of the show the first time.

Sheamus cashing in at the end of the night is the way they solve the duel belts issue, right? It could even be the way they keep the US belt on Cena if they want to.

New Day on Jericho's podcast were funny talking about when Kofi put Orton through the table and then wasn't used at all the next week.

The Ambrose thing just hurts because he was really taking off after Reigns' injury last summer.

There was a huge amount of interest from Sting's appearance and I think a big rating the next night. That they didn't more actively follow up the next night was the issue. I still firmly believe they should have run Sting/Cena at Mania with Sting going after Cena as sort of a force of justice (in his 1997 mystery role) for him failing and allowing the Authority back.

I don't think they're going back for Taker vs Brock III at Mania.

Re; Ziggler: He might go off to be a successful comedian and not need the WWE and leave instead of getting fired and then Vince will cry a single tear. Better to not make money than that.
