On a message board, I'll take someone who's negative about everything but tries to explain why they're negative in a well-thought out fashion over someone who's positive about everything but doesn't bother to explain anything in any real depth.
I'd probably rather WATCH wrestling with the other guy, mind you.
I don't think Parv's criteria for Greatest Wrestler is necessarily the one who is Greatest at Wrestling.
EDIT: That's not a knock either. I was just typing it on my phone at midnight last night. I think he places "value" much higher than most of us do.
I naively still thought they'd do the "Lana fools Cena" finish, which was malicious when they did it to Foley but would have gotten so much heat here. I guess we should all get used to social media pushed baywatch Lana.
They should have used a different camera angle on the reply since we really saw Ryback bump himself into the corner. In general,I thought that was a well-built finished for a match where neither guy should lose.
I had no problem with the finish. They've got similar tights and that's all the ref could see from his vantage.
Re: Devon's go slower comment: the time where I wish they let it sink in a bit more was after Cesaro's catch powerslam on Big E and then the press slam. Those should have had another 20 seconds to breathe and play to the crowd each. Make it matter.
They did a very good job of justify the relatively early pins in this relative to other WWE tag 2/3 falls matches. Some of the tandem moves were way off though. I'm glad they at least tried to do the freebird rule.
Baltimore's about 15 miles away so I could have gone to this one but it just didn't feel worth the headache. I hope it's good enough that I regret it (because then everyone gets to benefit).
I think there are ways to spin this, to highlight that they're giving local talent a chance, or that they're making grassroots efforts to find the next big stars, or something, but yeah.
