  1. Given his current lack of bulk, can you imagine the HHH promos.
  2. Primarily I'd love to hear more about the specifics as I've always utilized guesswork on it here. That Arn was opposed is a new piece or information but we don't have enough knowledge to create a framework to understand that information in context. But what I want as much as anything else with this podcast is to hear about the Arn/Cena wrestler/agent relationship.
  3. On today's podcast, Arn talks for a couple of minutes about the first Owens vs Cena match and I'm not even sure what to do with that info. i always felt like Cena's indy pairings, new moves, and shift to excess there was on him as a way to finally shake the Cena Sucks chants, which ultimately worked, and what you do hear here is that a lot of the biggest spots in the match were done against Arn's wishes.
  4. You and Jerome should start a podcast called Tendentious Grounds and Appropriate Mockery

I am a bad human being but I can't wait for the internet to trash Ross and then Ross to go nuts on the podcast this week.
  6. If only he was a completely different person.....
  7. Would The Last Temptation of Jim Cornette involve a Wendy's?
  8. They should rename him Adam Elliot Warrenton.
  9. I, too, dislike Seth Rollins.
  10. I haven't been able to churn through results to figure out what the heck I was actually talking about. I am open to the idea that this was a low level Europe tour too.
  11. They should do it like those Australia tours in the late 80s/early 90s and just send Koko and the Bushwhackers.
  12. Two interesting tidbits from Barry Horowitz from the Payoff podcast: 1.) The best guy to give a press slam was Lex Luger. 2.) Three babyfaces that would always let the heel call 100% of the match without a peep were Brad Armstrong, Tommy Rich, and Tom Zenk.
  13. That'll fix everything.
  14. I'm out tonight but are they putting the NXT belt on Bryan to boost rating on Weds?
  15. I wouldn't want Arn reacting to things he didn't know firsthand every week but him giving logical thoughts on things he didn't know about was very interesting.
  16. I skimmed through that quickly but didn't see anything on the Houston library.
  17. It is in our nature to think about solutions and it feels like there are almost none. Building the entire product around Rey feels like it might get traction.
  18. "Gregory" Helms is an agent, right?
  19. Where are they tonight? Could the crowd rebel?
  20. Congrats to @Superstar Sleeze for his very important social media achievement today.
  21. I feel like Fox strongly overestimated the overlap between wrestling and sports. People get something different from wrestling.

Likewise, the Fantastics vs MX/Cornette match may have technically been out there but everyone should still watch it with this video/audio.

We were robbed of a long heel Ronnie Garvin run.

Today's the 7/16/1988 Bash card from Greensboro. ~2 hours of it. Bugsy McGraw & Tim Horner vs. Rip Morgan & Larry Zbyzsko The Italian Stallion vs. Ronnie Garvin. Dick Murdoch vs. Gary Royal. Rick Steiner vs. Jimmy Garvin. The Sheepherders vs. The Rock ā€˜n’ Roll Express. Al Perez (w/ Gary Hart) vs. Brad Armstrong. 2 vs. 3 Handicap: Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers vs. Jim Cornette, NWA US Tag Team Champions Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane. Scaffold Match: The Road Warriors vs. Ivan Koloff & the Russian Assassin. Sting vs. NWA TV Champion Mike Rotunda (w/ Kevin Sullivan & Rick Steiner). War Games: Lex Luger, Steve Williams, Nikita Koloff, Dusty Rhodes, & Paul Ellering vs. NWA World Champion Ric Flair, NWA US Champion Barry Windham, JJ Dillon, NWA Tag Team Champions Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard. If I'm not mistaken, we definitely have Sting vs Rotunda and the War Games match. Are the rest new though? A new Sheepherders vs RnR match and that Fantastics vs MX/Cornette match both look well worth seeing.
  25. I think Brock is not just the worst thing to happen, he's produced also generally terrible matches that feel important due to the breaking of established narrative rules. I can give people some of the multi-mans or specific moments of matches or maybe something like the Goldberg sprint, but even the almost universally lauded stuff like the Bryan match doesn't work for me. This is the farthest I'm on with Eric/Phil, and I've expressed why plenty of times.
