This is a fascinating little project. It's a shame so little of this sort of thing will ever be done. Jim says Mark and Jim have come up with solid plans for 3-4 similar collaborations.

WWE Performance Centre is pretty bitching Check out the floor plan: http://www.bizjournals.com/orlando/slidesh...ry&img_no=2

He could have a built in feud with Orton too. As he Punt kicked him.

Another thing is I think the typical wrestling fan has become smart enough to realise he can do more to annoy the heels than just boo and say "you suck!" Especially in an environment in WWE where Wrestlers are told to play to the camera and not to the audience. They should as Erick Rowan and Luke Harper probably don't have flashy enough offence to silence/impress a troll crowd.

The thing that has been knocking around in my head in light of the Husky Harris chants is that we can't just shake our fists at the "Smarks" can we? Wyatt was in a well remembered faction and appeared in a WWE video game. He also had a name that is both terrible and chantable (Micheal McGillcutty isn't). WWE has also created culture where the crowd has been given significant editorial input into shows. WWE communicates the message to fans over and over that they are here to entertain YOU and they regularly hand the control back to the viewers via online voting and shit like that.

There's no agenda here. This has nothing to do with Dave Meltzer or message board wars, and I wish Dave hadn't even been brought into the conversation. I wasn't sure if I would like the other New Japan, so I picked something that based on the description sounded right up my alley, because I was actually looking to be positive. I didn't care for it, but I'm not going to indict all of New Japan as awful based on watching one match that was praised that I didn't like either. People are silly. I don't think there is agenda. People's likes and dislikes are very well elaborated on here. Wasn't crazy about Shibata and Goto myself beyond it was a hell of a thing to watch live with the dropkick in the corner and THAT headbutt opening up the possibly I might be witnessing a fatality. I can see why you would have the issues you would given the not so cerebral construction of match and given the expectations you were given. No way in hell was it as good as Cena-Brock on a visceral basis.

Regal swiftly deleted a Tweet confirming interest in the Briscoes and subsequently that interest being distinguished in Tweet warning Prince Devitt about his in character trolling of Japan: Ah Twitter. You drama machine you.
-
Oh I agree. But if anything at the very, very least Meltzer was about a year slow in giving New Japan the more than one paragraph in the Observer treatment.
-
Someone signed up to Twitter last night with sole purpose to get me to incite a PWO vs F4W gang war. Miss the days Alan4L would be blamed on here for New Japan's popularity and tricking people into liking it. I would say word of mouth among fans is a bigger factor than Dave himself. Just this past weekend I have been asked to recommend some New Japan by people who have never read the Observer and their previous exposure was watching New Japan on Eurosport in mid 90s.

Someone needs to dress up as Bret Hart and do it/her

It is far more fun than the furrowed brow consternation you seem to be going through. Just watch any of their iPPVs and decide for yourself.

I will answer the thread topic with this year's G1 line up: Group A is beyond stacked and you have the intrigue of Devitt wrestling the Heavyweights and Ibushi in the mix.

The extremely well liked Tom Pritchard who was gotten rid as NXT Head Trainer in favour of the immensely controversial and derided Bill DeMott. Tom referred to Martlaro as a Little Napoleon. After current spate of releases some of people released tweeted Tom with "you were right" messages He seems to be your standard terrible middle management type but ultimately that position in talent relations involves being disliked anyway - talent vs office.
-
Dave wrote a paragraph of death on Naylor: The "one wrestler" seems to be Dr. Tom Prichard as Tom's Twitter used similar verbiage. A lot of his friends would say on podcasts and such like about how much influence he had on the more positive aspects of NXT and beyond. As credible as those friends are generally I just thought it was largely confirmation bias or wishful thinking. But there you go. Shame Triple H wants to follow Management Best Practice or whatever and create a fresh corporate culture at NXT Orlando.

Very much a shoot. They never really followed up on it and was overall simply "weird" like an organic incident would be. The funniest detail from Observer about the backstage scene was that Daniel Bryan was calling anyone within an ear shot a motherfucker.

Retraction I wish to apologise to Lucha Kitty: https://twitter.com/luchakitty for confusing its parentage.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?

Growing pains, cash flow issues and maybe more: PWInsider: prowrestling.net: -
Love this picture of Sami Callihan driving overnight on his way to report to NXT along with his cat Lucha Kitty:

It is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag4OuU1NQ7o No idea how quickly it will be taken down if at all.

New Japan clamping down: IVP avoided selling New Japan iPPVs so to fly under the radar. Obviously that didn't work. All means all too from comps to classic footage.
-
They tried to at least according to PWInsider. Both WWE's main operation and NXT in moving to Orlando is in a state of flux. If you look at the Creative department for example there seems to be a endless reshuffling this year . Some of the most senior and influential people have continued the praise for Rob over the past few hours:

I enjoyed the show. Not the best PWG show but well above average. I either skip, zone out or do something else during their matches. I genuinely didn't watch that one closely. PWPonderings is a great, comprehensive site for Indy wrestling. Jeremy Cusson in great contrast to Dylan wrote: http://www.pwponderings.com/2013/05/07/pwg...t-1-dvd-review/ Most PWG fans hated the Drake-Sami hardcore stuff some went as far to say they were are repulsed. Can't say I am a massive fan either to be honest.

Really was one of the most overwhelming things ever. Every single one of the NXT roster and staff posting the nicest messages and photos amid all the madness. Wherever he is going I don't think he will be stuck for reference that's for damn sure. Definitively King for the day:

Would a closer guess than Ziggler or Cesaro if you take HBK's power of estimation and wikipedia as gospel. Curt Hennig was a great mentor to Shawn so I could see Shawn going to bat for his son. Also as rumoured: Hope he lands on his feet. If he hasn't already!
