On Steen's dick a fair bit but his ROH work the past 18 months has been really bad compared to the stuff in PWG. The finish was a total anti-climax and not the joyous "my guy one" moment I wanted. Smith Hart said Cornette couldnt make it over the border and wasnt there. I think ROH's fanbase and appeal is a little bit more robust than what people are making it out to be.

I'm not Bix, obviously, but I haven't heard a thing about the Summer of Punk DVD other than the fact that ROH released one. Do tell, Rovert, how bad is it? Yeah, what happened here? Just that they cut out the entrances and have a remix of Cult of Personality. Obviously these are sad commercial realities. However what gets lost isnt replaced by a current day narrator. The story that gets told on the DVD downplays Foley & Gibson's roles as well as Punk's friendship of Cabana. Nerd stuff but still fairly key.

So what do we make of the timeline of Rey's drug test and wellness failure? Meltzer didn't pass overt judgement on the radio show but he let the circumstances speak for themselves. Going by what Meltzer said the thing seems to stink. Rey visited Raw in early March as soon as he entered the locker room he was told to get tested and only now it came out. Seems like it was punishment for not coming back sooner and saying no Wrestlemania rather than an honest failure. He failed for amphetamines. Meltzer said Rey is contesting it as Rey doesnt know what would make him fail for that but WWE announced it anyway. Meltzer speculated a weight cutting drug could possibly be the cause.

Really? This guy may have a drug problem and clearly has health issues regardless of how or why, and you want him wrestling the world? That is an interesting viewpoint. Or just Wrestling. I still watch Kurt Angle matches.

What was the long and short of Rey contesting his last suspension again? It is going to be interesting to see how WWE manages commercial interests vs Rey staring down the barrel of termination. A meth free version of the Jeff Hardy 2009 saga. Kind of scummy and poor form to wish someone lose their job especially if Rey is badly caught up with pain pills but him Wrestling the World would be amazing after being a WWE stalwart.

A fine show in the main that I doubt is priority viewing for anyone. The promotion doesn't seem to have actual destination point(s) or genuine landmark events on it's TV show even when they do on paper like the wedding angle it neither draws you or repels you.
