Lawler tries to narrate a full history of the Lawler vs Gilbert family feud to hype up his match against Doug Gilbert and Gilbert takes offense to him showing footage of Eddie on TV without his permission. Lawler and Doug Gilbert get into it, with Scott Bowden helping jump Lawler. Good stuff.

I love this feud. It's really got a ton of legit-feeling heat. The parking lot brawl clip is brutal.

 

Lawler buries the SMW belt pretty strongly.

Yeah this could have easily taken place in a bar after Gilbert crawled out of the trailer park.

So what's up with business casual Scott Bowden? Does the USWA loop overlap with his Omaha Steaks territory or something? Dude looks like he'd show up on my doorstep selling knives with that outfit!

Lawler is wearing his WWF outfit. Jerry references Smokey Mountain. Didn’t they go under by now? Lawler shows off some clips of him versus Eddie in the parking lot from previous years. I’m disappointed we didn’t get to see how Doug Gilbert earned himself a spot into the Rumble.

The Smoky Mountain title is still on life support across the state. Lawler promises to defend the title and then toss it into the Mississippi River. Lawler is about to show a litany of footage of what Eddie and Doug have done to him over the years, but it's quickly cut off by Doug. Doug and Scott Bowden jump Lawler and Bowden chokes him out with his tie, and was presumably fired after the show. Brian Christopher comes out, but doesn't make the save, saying Lawler should have expected it.

We get the long Gilbert vs. Lawler feud run down which is something Memphis excels in and the brawl here was upper half to with a lot of good hate going on.
