This doesn't stand a chance after the double whammy that was the two 12/6 matches. Not that it would anyway.

 

Kinda weird and some male-on-female violence that feels unnecessary. If Bill Watts was a psychopath, this might be a match he'd book, as there are heavy Mid South moments too, like the "accidental" female bumps. I can't see Bill Watts booking a cunnilingus piledriver though.

 

But I don't really have any desire to ever see this again.

I love how Shane Douglas hooks both legs on Beulah to make the pin. What a douchebag move. I thought it worked really well, typical cool ECW bullshit match with crowd popping spots.

The Douglas brawl with the fan took me out of this a lot, as it all felt a bit uncomfortable and unnverving after that. Is the other audio behind Joey Styles production guys trying to talk through what is going on in the crowd? I couldn't quite make out what was being said..

There were some points in this match that were really hard to watch, and the "cunnilingus piledriver" is not at the top of the list. I don't like the "face kisses heel valet" spot to begin with, but Dreamer groping Francine's lady parts and later thrusting his pelvis in her face are a whole different ballgame.

Right from the start Francine had most of her ass on display. At one stage Dreamer even did the rarely seen Vaginal Claw on her! Then there was the infamous piledriver where he exposed her hard plastic titties and showed them to everyone. Gravity had to tap out. This girl made the special guest pornstars in ECW blush.

ECW, where we're Extreme because we SWEAR ON THE MIC A LOT. So there were some flashes of good work here in-between all the uncomfortable moments. I actually liked the fan run-in, just as an illustration of the visceral hatred Douglas was able to engender with this audience. But Styles is as bad as Vince McMahon in justifying babyface behavior--Dreamer giving the cunnilingus piledriver and popping Francine's titties = good, Douglas nailing Beulah = cowardly son of a bitch. And how the fuck many times did we need to see contrived moments of various wrestlers turning their backs on their opponents like idiots only to get nailed? I do agree with El-P on Douglas' fantastic cover at the finish.

There may have been a fun match within this but the man on women violence holds up so poorly that a lot of the segment overall has to be taken with a grain of salt. I agree with what Pete says about Styles double standard. The fan run in was interesting to see that Douglas did have a big effect on people. Dreamer looks like a goof at the finish and I feel Douglas was pretty justified in his actions. **1/2

Another ECW brawl that's fun no matter how bad the mechanics were at times. But man, that attempt by Dreamer at the bridging Indian Deathlock submission was dire. Lots of energy all the way through and the fan trying to take a shot at Douglas in the beginning was a wild moment.
