Loss
Cornette does a great promo gloating over the title win right after the Rock & Rolls/Bodies match. The Stud Stable confront them. Cornette blows his cover by saying they came up with a story of having four flat tires and expect people to believe it. Fuller: "Four flat tires? You son of a ..." And the brawl is on! All three teams beat each other up. Love this angle.

KB8
There's a Freebirds/Austin Idol segment on Will's Gordy comp from...I want to say Georgia, maybe in '81, where Hayes does the same thing Cornette does and shoots himself in the foot by mentioning the four flat tires. Doesn't really make much difference to this segment, but that Idol segment was amazing and it's what this one reminded me of. Also gotta love Eaton taking three or four crazy bumps out on the floor after being there for all of about five minutes.
rainmakerrtv
There's a Freebirds/Austin Idol segment on Will's Gordy comp from...I want to say Georgia, maybe in '81, where Hayes does the same thing Cornette does and shoots himself in the foot by mentioning the four flat tires. Doesn't really make much difference to this segment, but that Idol segment was amazing and it's what this one reminded me of. The weird thing is that I *just* finished watching the full original "Four Flat Tires" angle from Georgia between the Freebirds and Austin Idol & Kevin Sullivan right before putting on this disc. Odd coincidence.
WingedEagle
Cornette a solid promo talking about combining the 2 best tag teams ever and says from now on the Bodies will be Eaton, Lane & Pritchard at all times. The Studs come out and it turns to a brawl pretty quickly before the RNR join in for more chaos. Eaton looks a cut above the rest here bumping on that gym floor floor for the Studds. Dutch doesn't look at all of place in a brawl with these guys despite being a "non-wrestler."
soup23
Good brawl keeping the heat between these two. This SMW is mostly fresh eyes for me so it has been a lot of fun so far.
Robert S
For those interested: here is a youtube link to the original (?) four flat tires angle: (starting at the 10 minute mark)
GSR
Cornette is all happy that they are the champions again and says that it shouldn't be a surprise 'as Jim Cornette gets things done' and Bobby Eaton is now back where he belongs. He then tells the Rock & Roll Express and the Stud Stable that the two greatest tag teams of all time have combined into a single unit, they're together, are the champions and will remain so. Stanfield says that it is the greatest day of their life when out comes the Stud Stable and Dutch Mantel. Cornette says that they were scared, that's why they didn't show up and made this cock and bull story about four flat tyres over at the motel... at which point Fuller says 'four flat tyres! You son of a b*tch!' and the Studs attack the Bodies and Eaton. The Rock & Rolls return to join in the fight and a wild brawl between all three teams takes place. garretta
This was certainly chaotic. Nice to see Eaton back with Corny; even as part of the DA he's never been quite the same since Corny and Stan left WCW. That's mostly WCW's fault, though. I applaud Corny for not turning either the Studds or the Bodies like most promotions would have. The real money comes from both of those teams chasing Rock 'n' Roll, not necessarily beating the tar out of each other (although that's a nice little side benefit). I know that Lane and Eaton teamed (although probably not as the Bodies, at least on tape) and Lane and Prichard teamed, but did they ever do a straight tag with Prichard and Eaton that made tape? Remember, that was Corny's preferred version of the MX when Dennis Condrey left in '87, but JCP convinced him to take Lane instead. Dutch looks right at home brawling here, but as much as I would have liked to have seen him wrestle a few months ago, I really don't now. SMW has plenty of good wrestlers, but he's just about the only decent color commentator they have, and I want him behind the mic as much as possible. We talk about Eaton's bumps. but what about Gibson throwing a dropkick on the floor? A miss would have meant disaster for him, both in a kayfabe sense and in real life, as he would likely have been seriously injured.
