Loss Posted August 9, 2011 Author Report Posted August 9, 2011 Boss Man could talk, he could work, he drew money. It's really ridiculous that he was shat on so much at times, even if he did have periods that were obviously better than others. Quote
shoe Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 What a kick ass promo. Boss Man is awesome here. Quote
Kevin Ridge Posted September 14, 2012 Report Posted September 14, 2012 Boss Man makes his return and gives a great interview with Gene. This has been a nice little feud so far. Only match I saw was the Survivor Series one which wasn't that good though. Not sure what else is available. Quote
WingedEagle Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 Bossman is back for revenge on Nailz. The crowd actually looks ridiculously hot for this. Quote
PeteF3 Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 I thought the invoking of the kid was pretty cheesy, but BBM wrapped it up well--he even gets bleeped! Quote
garretta Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 This may be the best Bossman promo ever for one reason: at no point does he utter the phrase "hard time" or make any cute references to law and order or police work. This is a real man promising real revenge on a real enemy, which seldom happens in the WWF. Usually promos are a tedious exercise in character reinforcement, and there's little real emotion to them. Come to think of it, this one was so real I'm surprised that Vince okayed it. The only law-and-order stuff was from Okerlund, who began the interview by saying that he believed Bossman was injured in the line of duty. Normally that would be inoffensive, but the rest of this was so real that the intro sounded kind of stupid. This doesn't have anything to do with the interview, but whose idea was it to distort Nailz' voice, and why was it done? Was it so Bossman wouldn't be able to recognize him, or did someone in the office just think that it made him sound more menacing? Talking about the kid was a bit cheesy, but Bossman needed a reason to return other than personal revenge. All WWF babyfaces must fight the good fight for the Hulkamaniacs, especially now that Hogan is gone for a while. Quote
dawho5 Posted May 26, 2020 Report Posted May 26, 2020 Loved the promo. I am in agreement with Loss that Bossman was too good for the way he was treated. Was it because he wasn't a bit-time superstar, just a mid-level guy who could make anything work for guys on the way up? I'd figure that was a valuable thing to have. Quote
