The Thrillseekers cut a promo in front of a SMW crowd for the first time on the yearbook. They suck up to the crowd, and Storm accidentally calls SMW "Rocky Mountain Wrestling". Well Dunn interrupts them to challenge them to a match and do a little bitching and moaning. They insist on music videos, big contracts, entrance music and interview time. Jericho asks if he's Beavis or Butthead, and then says they aren't working hard for what they want. They want a match next week. Jericho is doing most of the talking and is obviously the more charismatic of the two, which shouldn't shock anyone.

Les Thatcher takes over for Dutch. Lance seems pretty nervous doing his promo and messes up. He's on a rocky mountain high. Jericho is a lot more composed when it is his turn to talk.

Lance Storm doesn't know where he is. Jericho is pretty good for being green. This was okay.

Highlight of this was Lance's fuck me look when he said Rocky Mountain wrestling. Well Dunn did a better promo than I would have imagined and had great heat.

Storm was amazingly bad on the mic. 1/10 standard. Jericho was naturally so cocky that it was a challenge for him to be a humble babyface.

This didn't do much for SMW's credibility to have the WWF's most bottom-feeding team in as pushed talent. Well Dunn are surprisingly decent on the stick, especially Timothy. And compared to the Thrillseekers in general and Lance specifically, they may as well be Dusty & Lawler. Jericho steps it up when he has to drop the phony asskissing persona and gets to show some fire.

"Personality Profile with Les Thatcher" doesn't quite have the juice that "Down & Dirty with Dr. Dutch Mantell", does it? SMW looking a bit creaky, trying to push these two teams.

The Thrillseekers are today's guests and Jericho would like to thank all the fans who have been really good to them since they arrived and made them feel at home. Lance thinks they’re in Rocky Mountain Wrestling before correcting himself, and says the two of them are hoping to make their mark here in the tag team division. Well Dunn interrupt them and say that ever since they arrived in Smoky Mountain Wrestling The Thrillseekers have been dodging them. They haven’t been getting treated fairly, they’ve been in the WWF and all over the world and yet they get no respect. Steven Dunn has some requests and they want music videos, big contracts, entrance music and interview time. Everyone else is getting them and they want some of the pie. Jericho calls them Beavis & Butthead and says that maybe they haven’t got these things because they haven’t been working hard enough? Dunn says they’ve been chasing them all over SMW and if they think they don’t deserve it, any time, any place, they don’t care if it’s on TV or not, they’ll fight them, beat them and show all their stupid fans what no talent little punks they are. The Thrillseekers accept and the match is set for next week.

 

Well Dunn are surprisingly good promos and Jericho was good here though I’m not too keen on the pandering to the crowd although I guess that was their role. Lance comes across fairly uncomfortable though he’s probably not helped by getting the name of the promotion wrong with his first sentence!
