Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
Vince is wearing the old WWF blazer with royal blue pants! Bret says that Helen told him the difference between the two is that Owen was born bad but always tried to be good, while Bret was born good and always tried to be bad. I ... am not sure that makes any sense at all. Bret accepts the challenge for King of the Ring from Diesel.
Kevin Ridge
Bret relies on Helen Hart for reason on why things are the way they are with Owen. Where’s Lawler to comment on this? This continues on that this fued is not over between the brothers. Bret accepts Diesel’s challenge or the title at the King of the Ring. Standard promo from Bret. Exposer
Bret cuts a good promo for the most part but I don't understand the analogy involving his mother at all. He accepts the challenge from Diesel and will face him at King of the Ring for the WWF title. Okay segment.
Frankensteiner
Only thing I can think of in relation to the Helen line is that it's an acknowledgement of the past and a foreshadowing of their feud. Bret basically started out as a heel (not really, but his first major run was as a heel) whereas Owen debuted as a face. So Bret was always good but sometimes lost his way, and Owen only faked being good. Them switching sides and opposing each other is how it was always meant to be according to Helen. Loss
What a horrible thing for a mother to say.
soup23
Yeah the Owen reasoning here was suspect but the Diesel portion was well and officially kick starts their feud for KOTR.
PeteF3
Diesel going from bodyguard to IC Champion to PPV World title challenger this quickly was just absurd, and was yet another example of the plummeting WWF roster quality. Bret outlines his plan to take down Diesel.
DR Ackermann
Most of Bret's face promos are better when you pretend he's a heel. He's so unlikeable.
