Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
Flair is funny wearing the belt over his suit. It's such a weird looking belt. They weren't using the WCW World Title they used during the International years and they weren't using the Big Gold Belt. It looked fake. Evad Sullivan interrupts and tells Flair he ain't the world champion. Flair tells him to get back on his meds and to never interrupt his interviews again, but tries to be nice. Dave interrupts him again, and Kevin is out to yell at him for interrupting. This "Real World Champion" talk is too WWF and makes Flair seem less Flair. Loss
Flair and Sherri are back out later in the show. Dave is out again. Flair calls him WCW's Forrest Gump and tells him if he makes the mistake of showing up tomorrow night, he'll make whatever is wrong with him a lot worse. Kevin is out to control him again. Please make Flair stop calling himself The Real World Champion. Seriously, get right on it.
Kevin Ridge
Sherri looks like she did a whole lot of coke before this interview. Dave Sullivan has the nerve to interrupt Flair when he is doing an interview. Somebody please hit this guy in the head with a chair. Kevin comes out to try make sense to Dave. Dave Sullivan comes out again to interrupt Flair! I hope he gets his leg broken.
Exposer
Flair is walking around with his phony World title belt and Sherri looks as odd as ever. Dave Sullivan is terribly annoying during all of this. I feel like I'm watching WWF programming instead of WCW programming.
soup23
Sherri looks weird as hell. Flair cuts a good promo that is ruined by Dave. I don't know why he had to be inserted as they should have known it would not have helped sympathy for Hogan against Flair.
El-P
Sherri's makeup is an epic fail. But her back is sexy. And she was probably on coke. Flair, knowing he'll had to deal witH Dave Sullivan, is in goof mode. The contrast is striking as this segment comes right after the Press Conference. Daved Sulivan the Hulkamaniac is quickly becoming the most annying character of the year. He was simply useless before, but it's getting fucking unbearable to see him having a role in big angles. Poor Kevin, he was so great in SMW and has this shit to work with here. He can't get the book too early to me, but that won't happen before mid 1995 I believe. As far as the whole Real World Champion deal, yes, it was totally WWF-like, but that was Bischoff whole angle of attack, to be n°1 we have to be what the WWF was when Hogan was there. Hence Jim Duggan, Honky Tonk Man, Flair as the Real World Champion, Brother Bruti, soon the Canadian Earth... I mean Avalanche. The positive thing out of this is that Randy Savage came back to wrestling instead of being wasted as an announcer. The whole nWo angle started the same way : here come the real cool WWF guys, and they are better than the old traditionnal boring WCW guys. Of course in this case it was good because it was fresh, new and inventive as opposed to a bad rehash of Hogan's glory days in a hostile setting. PeteF3
Sherri comes out dressed as...a furry. Um, not that I'm overly familiar with the subculture. But that's what she fucking looks like. These promos would be more effective if Flair had the real belt, and the "Real World Champion" shtick is so played out at this point. I want Evad Sullivan to die in a fire at this point. Flair is pretty wonderfully, dickishly condescending to him, though. This sets up a Ric Flair/Dave Sullivan match, which is just what the world has been waiting for. Kevin doesn't like this development any more than I do. Pushes for Beefcake, Avalanche, et al were one thing...but who the hell did Dave Sullivan know to get all this main event face time?
