Loss Posted November 2, 2012 Author Report Posted November 2, 2012 Just the finish. Pillman and Zenk win the U.S. tag titles. That Air Pillman came out of nowhere. Quote
PeteF3 Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 Michael Hayes is about to drop Zeaman with the DDT but eats an Air Pillman for the pin. Pillman and Zenk win the U.S. Tag Title tournament. Quote
soup23 Posted November 15, 2012 Report Posted November 15, 2012 Short clip showing Pillman and Zenk winning the belts with a hot crowd. Quote
Cox Posted December 10, 2012 Report Posted December 10, 2012 Pillman and Zenk win the US tag straps. I wonder if the idea was to put even more focus on these guys as a team as the year progressed, but then they changed course with Pillman and put him into singles instead. This feels like Flair taking the first step towards a big push for Pillman in 1990 that got changed after he quit the booking committee. Quote
Loss Posted December 10, 2012 Author Report Posted December 10, 2012 Pillman was pretty favored until Ole took over as booker. The MX/Pillman & Zenk feud started off hot, but as you'll see in the threads when you get to that stuff, was pretty badly messed up. Quote
Kevin Ridge Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Right to the finish as Pillman and Zenk win the titles. Congrats! Quote
Laney Posted July 3, 2013 Report Posted July 3, 2013 This is the finals of the US Tag Team Title tournament and we see Pillman and Zenk pick up the win. I don't really see the point of the US tag titles. Quote
garretta Posted December 10, 2014 Report Posted December 10, 2014 Can't wait to find out why Ole buried Pillman. He seemed like a star in the making from what I remember seeing. Quote
drew wardlaw Posted December 13, 2015 Report Posted December 13, 2015 Man I love Zenk and Pillman as a team. Another good team in 1990 WCW tag team scene. Quote
GSR Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 We literally get the last twenty seconds of this US tag team title change. Garvin tosses Pillman to the outside and then referee Randy Anderson tries to get Garvin out the ring and back on to the apron. Hayes has Zenk primed for a DDT, but Pillman springboards off the top rope with a clothesline to him and Zenk makes the cover for the win and title change. Incidentally there is a second referee on the outside when Anderson hands the belts to Zenk and Pillman. Why didn’t he tell him about Pillman’s illegal involvement that led to the pin? Not much, but one of those little things that niggles at me. Quote
