Loss Posted November 11, 2012 Author Report Posted November 11, 2012 Rude is training like an animal. He's on a roll. Quote
PeteF3 Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 Another good interview from Rude in a series. Yet 5+ weeks' worth of strong interviews in a gym didn't make for a better program than one posedown angle 16 months earlier. Quote
soup23 Posted December 10, 2012 Report Posted December 10, 2012 First promo that has gotten me worried that I may be getting sick of these already. Quote
Kevin Ridge Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 Rude continues to remind us that he has beaten Warrior before. I like that since nobody else at that time could really say that. Plays up Rude as a serious challenger. Quote
Cox Posted February 3, 2013 Report Posted February 3, 2013 I continue to think these are really good. I don't know if there was much they could have done to make Rude a strong challenger for Warrior (at least partly because, we'll, it's Warrior) but you can't blame them for trying. The ideas are there, but there wasn't anything they could do. Quote
garretta Posted December 27, 2014 Report Posted December 27, 2014 The good promos from Rude and Heenan keep on coming, but I'm about ready for an answer from Warrior. Quote
drew wardlaw Posted March 5, 2016 Report Posted March 5, 2016 Man Rude's face at the end while he's pumping those weights.... Quote
GSR Posted December 20, 2016 Report Posted December 20, 2016 Rick Rude is still in the gym but is now working out on the bench press. He says that when he meets the Ultimate Warrior again he will be an unstoppable force, an immovable object and if the Warrior should be lucky enough to get him in a pinning position, he too will be hoisted off just as easy as the 405lbs on this bench press. He can read the Warrior like a book and once more he will take the title that he holds so dearly. Good promo and I liked this as an effective way over showing Rude’s power and strength. If he can press 405lbs than pressing out of a pin from the Warrior should be a breeze! Quote
dawho5 Posted February 19, 2017 Report Posted February 19, 2017 I can see the complaints that it's never going to work, making Rude a serious challenger. But you know what, these promos are absolute gold. Rude and Heenan carry off their roles perfectly. Mainly I think this kind of thing could have worked (if he could have pulled it off) for Luger in the NWA. A more serious, less cartoony promotion would have gotten way more mileage out of this kind of deal. Quote
