Loss
Talk about it here.
Tim Evans
Clips from the meadowlands. Flair is bleeding of course in the match. Sting hits the ref with a splash off the ropes along with flair. They trade roll ups before finally bumping heads and Flair wins the belt with his feet on the ropes. Lame finish. Loss
Clip from the Meadowlands of Flair pinning Sting to win the title for a 7th time. The crowd is visibly excited.

Phil Austin
Luger v Big Cat looked like a contender for worst match ever on the stip alone!
soup23
I cant believe they made Luger look cheap in that Big Cat match stealing a win. Â The Flair/Sting match looks pretty exciting based on extremely limited clips and its something I hope to see in full one day.
PeteF3
Big Cat gets a visual fall (as such) on Lex Luger in the football match. Unbelievable. Â Hey, it's Vladimir, and he's a Horsemen fan! Ric Flair takes two visual falls himself from Sting, but lands on top after a collision and gets the pinfall, despite Sting's foot being on the rope. The first of two World Championship reset buttons to be pressed within the span of a week.
Kevin Ridge
They actually wore football pads and helmets for the football match. The NYC regular fans gets some camera time. They do everything to make Sting looked like he got screwed in his match but Flair wins the title at a Meadowlands house show. Flair era resumes. garretta
The finish of Flair/Sting made no sense, if only because they did nothing with it afterward. Sting being screwed meant absolutely nothing in the long run, because the feud for the title was over and Flair had won about as decisively as he was ever going to. I guess that's one reason why Sting never showed much public distress over losing the belt; he knew his time as challenger was done, even with the screwy finish we saw. Â The football match was way, way too short; there wasn't much more than we saw in the clips, if Graham has the correct match time. Plus, why was it done with over-the-top rules? My guess is that it's hard to pin someone's shoulders flat if they have pads and a helmet on. JR didn't mention if it was a title match or not; I'm assuming it was, though, which makes this perhaps the strangest U.S. title bout in WCW history to date. drew wardlaw
Cool, I've never seen the clip of Flair winning the title back. Nice for a sense of completion to Sting's title run.
zep81
Was this shown in full anywhere?
cactus
You could tell they were in a smarky area, as Flair gets a huge pop when he wins the title. Had no idea Vladmir the superfan was a WCW fan too!
